Pros When you recruit contractors internationally, it can be impossible to find a service that helps with document verification and background checks, no matter what country we are working with. Certn fit the bill perfectly, and within budget. Cons Checking more databases in more countries would make Certn even better. Review Source SK Susy K. They are always seeking to understand how or where they can be better and no matter who you speak with they are ready to action and support in whatever way they can. Pros The ease of integration not only with our tools and tech that we currently use but also the ability to have direct connection with the Certn teams. They continue to deliver in the same fashion - as though we were potential clients vs a long standing client...whether it's the Account Representative, support or technical fixes they are fast, responsive and willing to learn how to be better! Cons We had some trickies trying to fully integrate into our ATS and ran into some limitations from both sides but they made it work to the best ability - even here Certn's team connected with the ATS tech teams to try and solution our situation and even though it didn't fully work they made it work the best it could. March 14, 2025 1.0 Pretty sure i got scammed and this company is bogus Cons Nothing, filled out application and they took my payment, waited but no background check. Asked what had happened, they insisted i do it over again, did that asked for another payment. Messaged customer support again they said the only way to get around the payment step was to provide my full name , birthday, and current address. 8 days later nothing so asked for a refund they said same thing, only way to refund me was to provide my name ,birthday, and address so they know that the refund is going to the right person. 10 days now missed my job opportunity and still run around game. I've been working with them for almost 2-years and we've saved time and money since switching to Certn in 2019. Pros The system is extremely easy to use for both HR professionals and the candidate. The candidate experience is positive and I've only heard positive things from our candidates that use the platform. Cons Nothing comes to mind. We don't need to wait a long time to get results, they reach out to obtain and further information or clarification needed directly. My mind is at ease when using their services. I also really appreciate the friendly service, when I have had questions in the very beginning, the online help was easy and quick to use. Also I've had someone reach out to me to clarify things with me that would be best for our organisation so its really appreciated that they care about the user. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] and the team have been nothing but easy and friendly to work with, feels like you are a team and these days customer service really means a lot and I thank them for making my job easier in that respect. Huge shout out to the whole team! Pros What I like most about the software is that it is very user friendly, there is no guess work and I can easily submit someone and choose the services I need. Recently I also created a package as I use the same services frequently. Again very easy to easy and the results are fast! Didn't get a report. Cheaper and easier to go to police station Pros Nothing, failed to get report, charged 3 times. Refund is impossible because customer support does not exist Cons Charged 3 times for a report which they failed to get. Tried reaching out to their support, chat agent, billing and phone, none of the agents are useful, they're just there to run you around. Cons For the Credit Check Report section, I would prefer the heading to be "Credit Check" rather than "Canadian Credit Check" . You input their email, select the checks you want done, and an email is generated/sent to the candidate to complete. For most checks, the process is fast and results are seen quickly on their portal. Pros Instant results, hassle-free, online access, no need to engage other parties, candidates and others requiring background checks don't need to visit their local police office. Cons Some of the filtering could be better. It would be nice to be able to make folders for completed checks. As of writing, all checks show up on the dashboard page without a good ability to filter. It was an easy transition to get started and their platform to use is very simple. Pros I like the fact that I can send a link to an application directly to a tenant to fill out. It also is easy to set up on your phone, so needing a computer isn't required Cons This isn't necessarily about the software, but I have encountered that it can become pricey if you post your application page on your website and then have multiple people who are under-qualified applying without your knowledge until you either log in or are billed.
