Pros I like the professional look of Gmail. I like the integrated features that it has. I love the fact that I can organize my email in folders, that I can link my appointments to the Calendar, to my To Do list. The fact that you can access all the applications of G-Suite from your email. I used yahoo before this, and hotmail but I will not go back to them. I feel those two apps do not have the professional aspect of Gmail. Cons What I least like about gmail is the space limit. I use google photos and that space will eat most of my gmail storage. As a faithful user of gmail I wish I had an option to have more space. I checked lately, and there is not an option for a lifetime storage. You can only pay monthly or for a year or so but not for more. Which forces me to use other apps like Mega... but that does not work either... so I need to resort to a physical drive and this is not always reliable. Another minus, is that one person with an email will receive emails meant to be sent to another user. To be specific, if a user's email is xyz@gmail.com and another user's email is x.yz@gmail.com, then the first user will receive all emails sent to the second. I worry because some emails contain confidential or legal information and a complete stranger get access to it because of this problem. Gmail need to fix this! Review Source BE Bridget E. I have been using this since 2004 and it has never failed me since. Cons To be honest, this software ticks all the right places. I don't see anything which I dislike. Pros I like how you can pop-out messages when you compose them. Drag and drop feature is always nice. Spam filter is great and it's very easy to filter. Cons I've found it difficult to delete ALL messages at once. Its not something that is easy to remember. I've done it once or twice. I do have a yahoo account that I created for testing with my business and I hate it. Yahoo has ads all over and I know I am just used to Gmail but comparing the two, isn't even close. Google wins by a landslide! Pros My favorite part of Gmail is all of the integrations that work with it. I am able to use my sales and marketing extensions right in Gmail to insert templates, find people, and set reminders. I also use other Google services, so it makes it all very easy as I am on the Google platforms every day. Cons I don't have any cons at this time. The filters are great, searching for people is great, and linking forwarding accounts is great. I don't have any cons at this moment. " December 15, 2020 5.0 Gmail has been a pain for me here recently, however - the pros of the many ways Gmail can be used within my small business by far outweighs the cons. Pros The integration between the many google apps is exceptional. I love that I can simply sign in to my Google account on every google app and they all seem to flow simultaneously. Cons After using Gmail daily for personal and business use, I ended up having to get a new phone as well as a new phone number due to my previous cell phone being lost. Doing so ultimately resulted in me not having access to ANY of my saved info on my Google accounts across ALL apps since the only option for the 2FA is to send a code to my old phone number. Because of this, my business has taken a huge toll now that I cannot sign into my calendar to view when my clients have requested time slots for my service. You would think that a company as big and we'll established as google would have a customer support team ready and able to assist you with these exact issues, but they actually do not have any type of phone number to speak to a live rep at all! Cons The search feature needs to be improved on, the filters and blocking settings need to be simplified in order to make it easier to understand. Gmail being a big player in the email space uses the widely accepted and dependable IMAP protocol. This means there is virtually no email software that doesn't play nice with the email provider. I actually hardly ever go to gmail's web interface (which was what was so innovative about it when they started) but rather fetch and send all my emails through the mail apps on my phone and computer. Pros Gmail has been around since the mid 2000's and I have been using it since then. It is easy to use, always works and has never er caused an issue for me. Cons Gmail is dependable for me, but so is it to Google, in providing lots of details about me so the company can better serve me its ads. Although Google does give some assurances about not abusing their insights, it does make one somewhat uneasy and is definitely an issue to consider when searching for a new email provider.
