Pros Gmail is my life. I use very many google software projects, and my gmail account is linked to all of them. If I'm working with an email that needs to be converted to a larger text, it's very easy to translate that to google docs. Gmail's filter feature also makes it very easy to sift through months, or even years of emails. I find my threads are also very easy to find with gmail because of the filter feature. I currently have 5 gmail accounts that operate for my various businesses, and google never mixes up a single email. It's extremely easy to locate what I need when I need it. Cons When being locked out of your account, or forgetting your password, the process can be quite lengthy to get back in. Although it's all for safety such as the two-step verification process, it might be helpful to integrate SSN for easier log in for quicker usage! The system is very user friends and easily adaptable. It doesnt glitch as much as some other apps I have attempted to use in the past. Pros I love that it not only helps you keep in touch with all of your customers for your business, as well as keep up with all of your extra curricular activities on time and kept up. I love that you can create your own folders in place of the original ones. Creating folders seems like a silly thing to mention about an application review but this feature not only helps you locate important documents easier. I also like that you can put in your other email addresses even if they're not google email addresses, not many other companies will do this for you. Cons I dont like the most current update to the operating system it is more confusing. Before the newest update, it seems like I cant find emails that im looking for. Reason for choosing Gmail Same as i mentioned in the above questions. They dont make it difficult to switch over like some other companies i know or had heard abour. In my opinion Gmail is the most advanced e-mail client with multiple highly innovative features. These are some of the highlights: - Intelligent recipients: When writing an e-mail and adding multiple recipients, google automatically suggests additional recipients based on past e-mails sent, saving time and making sure you don't forget someone. - Autocomplete: Gmail automatically suggests on how to complete sentences with impressive accuracy. A small time-saving tool, which adds up. - Scheduled mails: I try to avoid sending out e-mails late at night. Gmail lets me easily schedule these e-mails so they get sent out first thing in the morning Cons I am not sure whether this problem pertains to Outlook or Gmail. But when sending out complex tables/graphs within an e-mail via Outlook/Gmail, these sometimes don't arrive correctly at the recipient. I have several accounts, both personal and professional. I appreciate how simple it is to have all of my accounts in one place and to switch between them easily. Google calendar connection and the ability to import emails right into my calendar are two of my favorite features of this app. My favorite feature is that it proactively screens out social and advertising messages, allowing me to keep my primary inbox more simplified and much less cluttered with advertisements and Facebook updates. Cons Receiving an excessive amount of marketing emails and advertisements irritates me since it constantly diverts my focus away from my works, especially when some of them manage to passed the filtering mechanism and manage to landing to my main inbox. The search feature is noisy but very helpful. It's not terrible. There are certainly worse. But it's not my first choice. Pros In most cases, it is possible to turn Gmail "features" off so that one can have a simpler, less directed email experience. For example, I have eliminated the default filtering of my mail into Google's marketing categories. I appreciate being able to customize the look and feel of my interface. Cons I find the level of tracking that Google does of my overall use, including my email communications to be troubling. Users have all had the experience of sending or receiving an email on a topic only to have that subject be echoed in ads across the browser. I do not pay for this email service and so, as the saying goes, I must be the product. A close second to this complaint is that there is no customer service to speak of. I can find what I need instantaneously to communicate essential info to colleagues when needed. Cons The background color is plain and from a UX standpoint sometimes makes it hard to differentiate info because it’s all white. I wish most recent emails would be highlighted a different color from white so I tap on them right away without having to look at the dates.
