Pros

emotive has brought a personalized customer centric experience to our customers and has helped us to engage our customer base and boost our sales in the process. We have a measurable increase in customer engagement and in revenue since we began working with emotive.

Nothing worthy of note. Although their support is off seas, they are always available to help.

We have recommended Emotive to many clients to help launch their SMS program.

Pros

It is super easy to use Emotive's tool to build SMS campaigns. The interface is fun to work in. Replying to conversations is streamlined and I can get through it quickly while still servicing the customer with a response. The best part of Emotive is their team - they are always there for you to call on for text copy help and platform help. They are always responsive and seems like they love their job with Emotive.

Cons

I have tried to think of a con about Emotive and I cannot come up with one!

Pros

I cannot in good conscience provide any positive outlook as their customer service and billing practices overshadow anything good.

Cons

First of all, they bill on a quarterly basis, which for a small business is a lot of money to commit up front. the reason for this negative review (which I have never previously taken the time to do for any company).... We consolidated our sms with our email partner (Klaviyo) to both save money and eliminate duplicating efforts. I had a conversation with one of their reps, \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\], prior to the final quarterly billing to see if they would accommodate our desire to cut our Emotive ties since we had moved sms to Klaviyo. Over what seemed to be a very gracious and fruitful conversation, he confirmed that he would accommodate our request and that we would no longer be billed. I took him on his word and failed (my bad) to follow up in writing. They, of course, since they had a credit card on file with them, charged me the $1,200 for the next quarter. When I reached out to \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] to rectify the situation, he said that we never discussed this and to refer to the email he sent (which doesn't exist - I had cc'd support at Emotive so he was doing his best CMA dance). And repeated follow-ups with customer service were futile, and \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] has since ghosted me, never returning another email. He is a chiseler. If you do decide to work with them, my advice: don't sign a long-term agreement and make sure you get everything in writing. You're dealing with a duplicitous organization.

### "Increase your ROI w/ Conversational Messaging by Emotive"

Emotive consistently generates a 35X ROI each and every month for my clients. Some of my clients see even greater ROI, and it all has to do with conversational messaging which allows shoppers to interact and speak to a real person via SMS. A lot of SMS services allow for broadcast messaging (a la email blasts), but Emotive's approach is a bit different which allows for your shoppers to actually respond to any message you send. This generates a new level of engagement and gives your brand a chance to make a happy customer, each and every time. The best thing about it is the pricing. Yes, there are other services out there, but Emotive's pricing is so good that I recommend it every time over any of their competitors.

Pros

The way they handle SMS messaging for e-commerce storefronts. The pricing is also a huge pro!

Cons

Nothing not to like. The service works, their staff is super responsive, and once you learn about conversational messaging, you will see what I'm talking about!

Overall, Emotive has been instrumental in increasing my bottom line with virtually no time involved! \[sensitive content hidden\] are easily accessible for support and ad creating during my busy seasons.

Pros

ROI is high, easy to use, great support and when my business is in high season, \[sensitive content hidden\] (my assigned copywriter) has my back. She is so good at capturing the voice and brand of glō as well as checking in to see if I need her to create broadcasts. The investment seems high at $200+/mo but with each sms blast, the return is rarely less than $1-2k

Cons

Creating segments is tricky for me! As a business owner, I’d rather spend my time in the lab and in front of customers so I rarely take the time to figure out how to create segments. Despite my tech challenges, I can always lean on the Emotive support team to create these segments for me.

Pros

As a person new to using SMS marketing I wasn’t sure what to look for. Emotive knows what they are doing to help small businesses, they are a full service provider, organized, helpful with strategy and listen to my requests. I recommend this team.

Cons

Pricing is reasonable. At first I didn’t understand it but they are always willing to explain.

The customer service has always been FANTASTIC! Specifically with our Rep, \[sensitive content hidden\]. They are always prompt and happy to assist you with any questions you may have. They have made the switch to SMS marketing a breeze!

Cons

They went through a phase where they went through a lot of Reps. We were getting a new one every few weeks. This made it hard to bond with them; however, they have all been super nice and easy to work with. Our current Rep, , \[sensitive content hidden\], will hopefully stay around :)

We’ve tried plenty of SMS tools in the past, and so far, most of them fall short. But Emotive? It’s a whole different story. Emotive has consistently helped our eCommerce clients pull in solid leads and real-world sales. Case in point: in just our first three months, we tripled our SMS opt-ins. Yup, 3x.

Pros

The platform itself is super intuitive, but what really stands out is their support. Need help? You’re not filling out tickets or waiting for days—you’re literally one text away from someone jumping in to save the day.

Cons

Pricing can scale quickly: While it’s affordable for small brands, be aware—if you start seeing major success, the cost will rise along with your results. It’s not a dealbreaker, just something to keep an eye on.

We have been using Emotive for our SMS campaigns for over two years. They are a great company to work with and their customer service is fantastic. The platform is always reliable, and the customer service reps are always helping with suggestions on how to improve campaign performance (they are also very easy to reach). Their analytics are easy to follow and shows exactly how each campaign is doing. We are a large company that sends over 100 SMS message a month, and have always had great results. Would definitely recommend Emotive to anyone who wants to increase their SMS campaign ROI.

Pros

Customer service reps are very helpful, always make suggestions, answer all questions quickly through calls or email. The platform is dependable and the analytics are very good.

Cons

There was a short period of about 4 hours, over a year ago, when they system went down and couldn't send. This was the only time this happened in over 2 years. It never happened again.

We are using Emotive to help with our customer service experience and overall marketing efforts. We're very excited to use this both to help drive sales and also improve conversion rates.

Pros

The ease of use is extremely impressive and makes me even more eager to use the platform. I love the UX/UI of the Emotive platform and how responsive it is, both with the set up and visually with the Conversation builder.

Cons

So far, I don't have anything that could be improved. The only thing that would come to mind, if I had to pick, would be Wise Pops built into the Emotive dashboard so it's not two separate log ins, but honestly, that's not a big deal to me at all. I have nothing bad to say!

We had a negative experience to start as the app needs support in terms of new customers and constantly growing a phone list. Luckily, after this experience, EMotive was able to turn this around for us and provides us good ROAs month over month.

Pros

Great customer service and representative team- every member I've worked with on our service has been fantastic. The service is robust with good analytics and best case studies. However, getting customers phone numbers can prove challenging and there needs to be specific consideration to your strategy of how you will do so. It is probably the best text tool available on the market at this time, and they have a good ROAs return rate, assuming you have new customers and phone numbers collecting at all times. They paired us up with a similar company to review what they were doing which was a fantastic aid. Overall, Emotive has become a customer support channel for us.

Cons

You cannot leave their contract and are essentially signing onto a year-long contract. Currently there are more companies doing this type of advertising and customers are more likely to unsubscribe as opposed to email. We've had several customers be disappointed that they could not call us, or had to explain why we had an American # when we are based in Canada.

### "Deceptive contract and sales rep - no cancellation clause in contract"

They most unethical, and dishonest company I've ever worked with. A complete scam. What kind of company doesn't have a cancellation clause in their contract? No semi-competent lawyer would simple "forget" to include a cancellation clause. And you know it was intentional because, even upon request, they wouldn't provide one. AFTER THE FACT. BEWARE! To this day, they won't agree to cancel my contract despite providing little to no support and have SO MANY ISSUES. I have nothing but regret.

Pros

I liked the "conversational" aspect that if offered and that they supposedly had "shopping experts" that would respond to any response a customer could give. This is false advertizing and also extremly misleading. The sales rep actually lied to our face about this one. There is literally an automation that you're supposed to populate with responses that you expect, there are no "shopping experts". It's a lie. If the automation can't handle it, then it goes to zednesk or your ticket system.

Cons

Everything. They lied about what's in the contracts. They left stuff off the contracts (and deliberatly lied on the sales calls) about the fee structure. - They left a cancellation clause out of the year contract "accidentally" - They left the part where there is a $500 minimum out of the contract (but still billed my payment method for it despite the repeated chargebacks) - They left out a Carrier fee which was around $100 for my place. I assure you, that you will get scammed. Stay far far away!

### "Emotive's unfilled promise and denied cancelation"

Bad, clearly. I've never left a negative review for anything before.

Pros

It worked at a basic level of mass texting a list of subscribers - the bare minimum of any such service.

Cons

They were unable to ever integrate with Woocommerce in the way we most needed - a text reminder for abandoned carts. A promise of a service they never kept. We stayed with them for a year, aware of that contractual obligation, only to fine that it auto-renewed without notice and we were repeatedly denied cancelation. I am currently still paying for their overly-expensive service for an additional year also paying for a better priced service that actually works as needed.

### "Need cancel my suscription "

I send broadcasting with no sales, after 6 Months I said please cancel this service and they still charge my credit card. They are miserable said that they cancel but I still needs to pay to them.

Pros

I don’t like this software! I was told that they will do the broadcasting for me that is why I sign. They are super pushy to sign a contract !

I only got every day 4 new subscribers, always same number wired

I will never write this review If they were cancel my suscription ! How you can not understated that it did not work for us ? That if I make some sales Is for Google Adds not because I have a pop up from you ! I delete this app long ago and they call me to say I need to reinstall and they will do all for me, they won’t ! I want to cancel but they will charge me anyways ! This app is beyond ridiculous ! Look another company that you don’t need to sign any contract up front ! It’s not worth it any ! I asked thousand emails please cancel they said they won’t cancel !

In addition to the problems above, Emotive stores our payment information without our authorization. Having been alerted by us, they removed our credit card information once but later continued to store the new payment info without our authorization. They initiated the charges whenever they wanted, even if we kept trying to dispute them. Horrible experience!

Pros

SMS marketing is unique and relevantly new, but I would suggest using other solutions instead of Emotive.

Cons

Their sales team is not ethical. When they sold us the service, the salesperson kept saying that we can cancel any month. However, the actual situation is that we can cancel any month AS LONG AS WE PAY THE REST OF THE 12 MONTHS. Make sure you read the terms very carefully. It's referring to a different webpage hosted on their website, which is subject to change anytime.

Pros

Emotive is easy to use and easy to deploy but the functionality I like best is the human interaction that is unique to Emotive. Results have been strong. Fantastic ROI.

Cons

Nothing that jumps out at me as a con. The onboarding was slightly rocky as there was a bit of a disconnect between sales and implementation but this got ironed out amicably and quickly.

Very satisfied with the tool's capabilities and overall strategic recommendations and alignment on mutual goals.

Pros

Overall onboarding, ease of use, implementation and going live were all very simple. To get up and running was easy. Pricing is fair and ongoing product enhancements are frequent and allow them to stay ahead of trends and competition.

Cons

Limitations in nuances of two-way conversations are industry wide among all competitors, however Emotive is making strides to improve this facet of the channel.

Many factors contributed to the decision to partner with Emotive. Overall tech capabilities, strategic support, roadmap goals and pricing all weighed in for this decision.
