Pros

Nothing worthy of note. Although their support is off seas, they are always available to help.

We have recommended Emotive to many clients to help launch their SMS program.

Pros

It is super easy to use Emotive's tool to build SMS campaigns. The interface is fun to work in. Replying to conversations is streamlined and I can get through it quickly while still servicing the customer with a response. The best part of Emotive is their team - they are always there for you to call on for text copy help and platform help. They are always responsive and seems like they love their job with Emotive.

Cons

I have tried to think of a con about Emotive and I cannot come up with one!

I cannot in good conscience provide any positive outlook as their customer service and billing practices overshadow anything good.

Cons

First of all, they bill on a quarterly basis, which for a small business is a lot of money to commit up front. the reason for this negative review (which I have never previously taken the time to do for any company).... We consolidated our sms with our email partner (Klaviyo) to both save money and eliminate duplicating efforts. I had a conversation with one of their reps, \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\], prior to the final quarterly billing to see if they would accommodate our desire to cut our Emotive ties since we had moved sms to Klaviyo. Over what seemed to be a very gracious and fruitful conversation, he confirmed that he would accommodate our request and that we would no longer be billed. I took him on his word and failed (my bad) to follow up in writing. They, of course, since they had a credit card on file with them, charged me the $1,200 for the next quarter. When I reached out to \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] to rectify the situation, he said that we never discussed this and to refer to the email he sent (which doesn't exist - I had cc'd support at Emotive so he was doing his best CMA dance). And repeated follow-ups with customer service were futile, and \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] has since ghosted me, never returning another email. He is a chiseler. If you do decide to work with them, my advice: don't sign a long-term agreement and make sure you get everything in writing. You're dealing with a duplicitous organization.

Emotive consistently generates a 35X ROI each and every month for my clients. Some of my clients see even greater ROI, and it all has to do with conversational messaging which allows shoppers to interact and speak to a real person via SMS. A lot of SMS services allow for broadcast messaging (a la email blasts), but Emotive's approach is a bit different which allows for your shoppers to actually respond to any message you send. This generates a new level of engagement and gives your brand a chance to make a happy customer, each and every time. The best thing about it is the pricing. Yes, there are other services out there, but Emotive's pricing is so good that I recommend it every time over any of their competitors.

Pros

The way they handle SMS messaging for e-commerce storefronts. The pricing is also a huge pro!

Cons

Nothing not to like. The service works, their staff is super responsive, and once you learn about conversational messaging, you will see what I'm talking about!

Overall, Emotive has been instrumental in increasing my bottom line with virtually no time involved! \[sensitive content hidden\] are easily accessible for support and ad creating during my busy seasons.

Pros

ROI is high, easy to use, great support and when my business is in high season, \[sensitive content hidden\] (my assigned copywriter) has my back. She is so good at capturing the voice and brand of glō as well as checking in to see if I need her to create broadcasts. The investment seems high at $200+/mo but with each sms blast, the return is rarely less than $1-2k

Cons

Creating segments is tricky for me! As a business owner, I’d rather spend my time in the lab and in front of customers so I rarely take the time to figure out how to create segments. Despite my tech challenges, I can always lean on the Emotive support team to create these segments for me.

Emotive has made it very easy to reach out to our SMS list with great segmenting options, awesome support (who will even write your texts for you), & an intuitive user interface. When Emotive created its own pop-up for gathering phone numbers and email addresses from customers, JC and the support team took care of the entire migration for us. This is definitely a good option for businesses using SMS marketing.

Pros

Emotive has a good support team for SMS. They helped us migrate over to their native pop-up, answered questions, and wrote 1st drafts of text messages for us.

Cons

On the Attribution side it would sometimes take weeks to get responses to questions. However, if you're only using them for SMS, the support team there is great.

Emotive is by far my favorite SMS platform...and I have tried them all! They have an incredible integration with Shopify that allows us to seamlessly collect leads from popups and push them into our Shopify. Their UI is so easy to use and they have tons of templates that you can pull from. They also have a great Slack community where you can connect with other users and get helpful tips and tricks. The list goes on and on with this company. I can't suggest them enough!!

None - it's by far the best product for SMS out there!

Pros

As a person new to using SMS marketing I wasn’t sure what to look for. Emotive knows what they are doing to help small businesses, they are a full service provider, organized, helpful with strategy and listen to my requests. I recommend this team.

Pricing is reasonable. At first I didn’t understand it but they are always willing to explain.

Emotive is awesome. If you are looking to add to your current marketing stack do not hesitate with Emotive SMS. Their customer service, integration, and overall experience had been awesome. Not to mention our ROI is off the charts.

Pros

We use WooCommerce as our e-commerce platform. Most of the other SMS tools do fine with Shopify but don’t play nice with WC. We were looking for tools to support abandoned carts keywords, and broadcasting. The things I love the most about Emotive are the keyword growth tools and broadcasts. The keywords not only allow you to segment customers and leads by keywords that you can associate with behaviors/products, but it also lets you create links that you can put into places like Instagram, Facebook, and emails. The broadcasts are amazing because you can create campaigns that show the results of each broadcast. Very cool. One last thing I want to mention are the sequences. We use an abandoned cart sequence that is converting very high as well as a sequence that asks for reviews from our customers 7 days after a purchase.

Cons

The only thing I would like to see is an app or better mobile web design. The mobile web page is hard to navigate at times.

I am so happy that I fell into the hands of \[sensitive content hidden\] of Emotive because they walked me through, step by step, the process technically and conceptually. In less than 1 week of onboarding I saw more than a 10x return on initial spend budget! I was leery of Emotive at first due to a very poor experience with another advertising provider where we received little to no assistance and struggled to get anyone to respond- yet they had no trouble taking our payment each month. Our experience with Emotive couldn't be more different. Our rep, Ciara, has been amazing with response, truly cares about our account and has worked with us to make the best plan for our business and our customers - not just what will benefit Emotive. I couldn't recommend it more!

Pros

Emotive provides the ability to directly and quickly interact with our customers on a more personal level. We use Emotive not only to aid in sales conversion but as a customer service response tool as well. This allows us to seamlessly help our customers without complicating their process to contact us. It also affords us the opportunity to foster relationship by sending broadcasts of holiday well wishes and thanks vs strictly sales messages. Customers often respond with pictures of themselves using the products and with comments that feel more friend like. We hope to build upon this relational messaging year over year.

Cons

The automated response feature can be hard to navigate but is improving.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!We have had 3 very serious issues with this company1. They initially encouraged emoji use and did not clarify EVERY emoji was billed as an MMS, essentially quadrupling what we thought we were spending. Did nothing to rectify the situation for us but finally added something showing how they’re charged2. We were not happy with the service as we constantly kept have what felt like sneaky charges being added. We also found a cheaper more known brand that consolidated sms and email. They basically would not allow us to cancel essentially slashing rates to nothing to keep us. This pissed me off that we’d been so screwed on prosing for the past year. Also they forced us to keep our contract the remaining 10 months paying $200/month. (Annoying but I should have been more diligent understanding our contract).3. THEN 6 months into entirely not using the service they charge me a random $20 for a “carrier fee” and have absolutely refused to refund. Emotive is a scam or desperate for cash. Either way stay far, far away. So many reputable companies with better pricing.

The service sends texts the rep was nice when we first joined.

Cons

Charged unauthorized fees to my card, no way to remove billing info, very hard to cancel and get out of contracts

What I love most about emotive is that their team is constantly sending out guides to help you up your SMS messaging game. That being said they do a great job of reaching out when they think a campaign is going to be beneficial to our company. Along with that, the app is so easy to use and makes for a quick process.

Cons

I never heard about the automated response platform therefore the fact that that is lacking is something to consider promoting more in the future.

It's been months of back and forth emails and thousands of dollars lost. LOOK ELSEWHERE - IT A SCAM

Pros

Emotive is easy to use and easy to deploy but the functionality I like best is the human interaction that is unique to Emotive. Results have been strong. Fantastic ROI.

Cons

Nothing that jumps out at me as a con. The onboarding was slightly rocky as there was a bit of a disconnect between sales and implementation but this got ironed out amicably and quickly.
