Overall I am very happy with Emotive and my customer experience manager JC.

Pros

I like the one-on-one customer service. My experience manager JC has made managing my SMS so much easier. He is vested in the success of not only my SMS but my brand.

Cons

The yearly contract - but I now understand because they need the time to work with the brand for it to be successful.

When I don’t understand something or have questions, they always take time to explain.

Pros

As a person new to using SMS marketing I wasn’t sure what to look for. Emotive knows what they are doing to help small businesses, they are a full service provider, organized, helpful with strategy and listen to my requests. I recommend this team.

Cons

Pricing is reasonable. At first I didn’t understand it but they are always willing to explain.

Pros

The customer service has always been FANTASTIC! Specifically with our Rep, \[sensitive content hidden\]. They are always prompt and happy to assist you with any questions you may have. They have made the switch to SMS marketing a breeze!

Cons

They went through a phase where they went through a lot of Reps. We were getting a new one every few weeks. This made it hard to bond with them; however, they have all been super nice and easy to work with. Our current Rep, , \[sensitive content hidden\], will hopefully stay around :)

We have been using Emotive for our SMS campaigns for over two years. They are a great company to work with and their customer service is fantastic. The platform is always reliable, and the customer service reps are always helping with suggestions on how to improve campaign performance (they are also very easy to reach). Their analytics are easy to follow and shows exactly how each campaign is doing. We are a large company that sends over 100 SMS message a month, and have always had great results. Would definitely recommend Emotive to anyone who wants to increase their SMS campaign ROI.

Pros

Customer service reps are very helpful, always make suggestions, answer all questions quickly through calls or email. The platform is dependable and the analytics are very good.

Cons

There was a short period of about 4 hours, over a year ago, when they system went down and couldn't send. This was the only time this happened in over 2 years. It never happened again.

We’ve tried plenty of SMS tools in the past, and so far, most of them fall short. But Emotive? It’s a whole different story. Emotive has consistently helped our eCommerce clients pull in solid leads and real-world sales. Case in point: in just our first three months, we tripled our SMS opt-ins. Yup, 3x.

Pros

The platform itself is super intuitive, but what really stands out is their support. Need help? You’re not filling out tickets or waiting for days—you’re literally one text away from someone jumping in to save the day.

Cons

Pricing can scale quickly: While it’s affordable for small brands, be aware—if you start seeing major success, the cost will rise along with your results. It’s not a dealbreaker, just something to keep an eye on.

Pros

We love how helpful employees are. Previously it was hard for us to come in contact with those we worked with at our previous company. Everyone goes above and beyond to help!

No complaints at all with emotive! We love it.

We had a negative experience to start as the app needs support in terms of new customers and constantly growing a phone list. Luckily, after this experience, EMotive was able to turn this around for us and provides us good ROAs month over month.

Pros

Great customer service and representative team- every member I've worked with on our service has been fantastic. The service is robust with good analytics and best case studies. However, getting customers phone numbers can prove challenging and there needs to be specific consideration to your strategy of how you will do so. It is probably the best text tool available on the market at this time, and they have a good ROAs return rate, assuming you have new customers and phone numbers collecting at all times. They paired us up with a similar company to review what they were doing which was a fantastic aid. Overall, Emotive has become a customer support channel for us.

Cons

You cannot leave their contract and are essentially signing onto a year-long contract. Currently there are more companies doing this type of advertising and customers are more likely to unsubscribe as opposed to email. We've had several customers be disappointed that they could not call us, or had to explain why we had an American # when we are based in Canada.

I was on the fence as a small business owner in moving forward with SMS Marketing for my online store because there were so many options and so who can you trust. I am so happy that I fell into the hands of \[sensitive content hidden\] of Emotive because they walked me through, step by step, the process technically and conceptually. In less than 1 week of onboarding I saw more than a 10x return on initial spend budget! As soon as I thought it could not get any better, my success manager with Emotive just added to the assurance of continued growth with a detailed action plan, guidance and strategies. This company and trusted staff is a game changer!

The Emotive team has honestly been the key reason I decided to switch from Postscript. They were so hands on from the day we had the first zoom meeting. They followed up with me constantly even when I was slow to respond (we were in our equivalent to Black Friday). They worked out very competitive pricing for us and everything I needed to make the transition smoother they did in a timely manner, which as business owners we know is super important. I truly could not be happier with my experience. The dedicated team that helps respond to customers truly is a selling factor I don't think they push enough. Emotive is so awesome with this! The are times our team is busy and we don't want costumers having a question that isn't resolved. They handle the responses that they can. Truly happy we switched

Cons

Emotive could definitely work on customer segments. This is my biggest drawback,the ability to segment customers that HAVEN'T made a purchase in a time period is frustrating and should be standard.

We enjoyed working with Emotive! Their team is always very responsive and they also help you plan out and schedule your campaigns. We had a good experience working with our customer success manager. Overall, they’re a great solution for brands whether looking to get started on SMS or to grow their list!

Cons

The user interface could be improved but did not impact any product capabilities.

If you want to be charged thousands of dollars for no reason, by all means sign up for Emotive. Things started out OK as we were dealing with good people who seemed to care if the brand was successful on their platform but over time that shifted to money hungry people who wanted to get us to send as many messages as possible with no regard for ROI (which was severely lacking). The last few months they have taken to arbitrarily adding charges to our bill and refusing to refund them. They have now overcharged me by $1300 in the last 45 days. We also had broadcasts that were set to go at a particular time that instead were sent at odd hours. This pissed off our customers and we were still required to pay for those messages.We did change providers and were told by the new provider that the Emotive customers are dropping like flies . Emotive continues to charge me even though we changed providers. They laid off all of the people we liked too. Bad company, dirty practices.

Pros

very little. The platform has b en edits but the dishonesty of the company overshadows anything good they have

Cons

Greedy people just looking to charge. Does not care for the customer and in fact overcharged us too many times to count
