It's been reliable and accurate, but occasionally we've encountered minor issues with data discovery, which the support team has helped resolve. Pros Netwrix Data Classification's auto-classification feature is pretty solid, making it easy to identify sensitive data across our organisation. We've seen a significant reduction in data breaches since implementing this tool. The user interface is intuitive, and our team can easily navigate it. Cons The reporting feature could be improved - it took a bit to figure out how to get the exact data we needed. It has modern and advanced capabilities and efficiency that helps in better visualisation of complex data sets. In case any issue customer support service is also helpful. Decision making is quick and accurate after using this solution for data analysis. It doesn’t require any major training anyone can use. It provides accurate and responsive data outputs. Cons I don’t have any issue with Netwrix but sometimes finding something on large datasets is time consuming due to inbuilt search options. It needs little bit optimisation and enhancements. The NDC website is easy navigate, very responsive. I love it, we've been using it about 8 years now. No complaints. Pros first and foremost. Customer Support, most companies make it a pretty painful experience but anytime I call Netwrix for any of their products they're always friendly, knowledgeable and and eager to help. Netwrix Data Classification has been an instrumental part of our security, being able to run reports on where all our sensitive data lives in a reliable and easy to read way helps keep our data safe. Cons Analysis > Search tab could use some work. We sometimes use it to find specific files when a user loses it. Having more filters in there would help. Although it still remains heavily IT centric and taxonomy rules can be rigid at times. Pros The automatic identification and cleanup of obsolete & trivial data is my favorite aspect. During routine works we generate a lot of files and over time this unstructured data clogs our file servers, Netwrix ensures that it scans our massive cloud repositories, locate outdated data and automatically attach relevant tags and take action without any manual intervention. Cons When a file gets skipped or misclassified, the troubleshooting process feels incredibly technical and inaccessible. To fix that, we have to dig in the workflows, logs and manually run checks why it happened. This forces our team to constantly raise tickets with the IT team as to why certain files get tagged incorrectly. We use it in conjunction with Netwrix Auditor. Data Classification has allowed us to gain valuable drive space back by showing us "old" files that no longer need to be accessed daily, as well as helping us identify folders that may contain patient info and therefore require an audit of the security applied to them. Pros It easily and accurately analyzes all of our file shares to identify files and folders that need to be archived and/or secured more in depth Cons The only downside is that there are sometimes false positives due to DATE formatting can throw an exception as an example. Cons Setup and reporting can be a little clunky to learn, but does make sense once familiarity with the system is achieved.
