We’ve been using BottlePOS for about 4 years. In the beginning, it was great and very easy to use. One big reason we chose it was because we could use our own credit card processor, and they even matched our rates. But in the last 2 years, things have gone downhill. Our processing rates have gone up a lot, and now we’re paying over $12,000 more per year in fees. When we tried to switch back to a 3rd party processor, we were told it’s no longer allowed and we would have to change our POS system completely. That’s not the only issue. In last 2 years, we’ve had many problems with the software and credit card processing. About 50% of debit cards don’t go through, so we have to run them as credit, which costs us more. There are also many bugs that haven’t been fixed for over 3 months and other ongoing issues. The POS system itself still works fine for basic use, but overall, the service has gotten worse. Because of this, we’re now looking at other POS options and taking demos. If anyone knows a better POS system for a liquor store, please email us at \[sensitive content hidden\]

Easy to use and built specifically for liquor stores. Setup was smooth, and the system handled day-to-day operations well. In the beginning, all worked great BUT things has been changed.

Cons

Higher fees, no flexibility with processors, and frequent issues with debit card transactions and unresolved bugs for months.

I really appreciate when we have a serious problem and others can’t figure it out. We are contacted and we end up getting a resolved.

The initial set up cost was really nice Once I got the hang of it, it has been really easy to navigate

Cons

Being able to mix and match items and track those sales for scan backs Putting the cost of an item just to have it round up or down and then the next time I have to change the cost again

Very good system for running the retail business, customer service is quick, credit card processing system is faster than any other system.

Its faster, quick customer service, easy to handle the Pos system, has suspend and recall for any transactions.

Cons

There is no least like about Bottle POS system, everything is as liquor store required, its easy to operate and there is Non to say about Bottle Pos system.

My overall experience with Bottle POS has been okay so far. The system works for daily operations and handles basic tasks reliably, but there is definitely room for improvement in terms of features, speed, and overall efficiency.

Pros

The software is very easy to use, intuitive to navigate, and user-friendly for both new and experienced staff. It simplifies daily operations, speeds up checkout, and makes inventory management much more efficient.

Cons

Software and terminal is not stable enough, three major crash down within one year time span. Caused us to make extra unnesscarry purchases to coverup BottlePOS errors.

Great no doubt, No matter how many good things I say about the system, it is still not enough to describe it. I recommend retailer to try it and you will see for yourself.

The customer support is great. Never a long wait and always helps with any problems quickly and efficiently. It's a very easy program to use. Payment processing is quick.

The inventory doesn't always seem to be on point, it seems to have too little in inventory sometimes

Everything has been so positive, if I have had an issue the support team has helped me through it. Especially TREVOR in the POS tech support. I give the POS System, the BottleZoo webstore and the tech support team 5 stars!!

The POS System is so helpful with the ease of keeping up with inventory and the BottleZoo Website. I do have to give Kudo's to the support tech dept - I had several questions today and TREVOR was awesome. He listened intently to fully understand my questions and tackled each question with a very professional attitude. He was awesome and able to explain everything so I fully understood the process. Awesome POS System and BottleZoo website, I know my business will grow with these great products that they have that I making good use of. 5 Stars to Trevor at Bottle POS support!!

Cons

No real issues, this is a great system!! It saves me so much time with inventory, ordering and keeping up with the webstore. Nothing has come across as a con.

I do appreciate that bottle POS has their own web app called bottle zoo but its not very flexible in the sense that you cannot add customized labels for the wines, you have stock photos for the wine which is great, but the only drawback with bottle zoo is how confusing it was to use it as an end user. It was very choppy and needed more

Pros

The ease of use for the cashiers and the administration functions.

The migration required a few tweaks. Had to learn new ways to do certain tasks.

Pros

Access from outside the store was important to me.

Cons

This company doesn't just focus on Liquor, like they claim. They have thrown together a software that is okay. It basically has nearly zero useable reports, and the data it provides is useless. They refuse to change anything at all on the system, so you are stuck with trying to get as much downloadable data and manipulating it yourself on an excel spreadsheet. Their ranking system doesn't work and you can't pull daily sales totals without pulling individual days, which takes forever. You can't download any category data that will tell you what hasn't sold in your store...the dead stock is grouped for the store, so you can't just find out what wine isn't selling. You can't filter out sizes when looking at most sales, so your 50ml sales hog most of your spreadsheet. You can't tell how much you sell per hour, so staffing is a guess. I could go on and on. There is a little accessible data, but you have to export it to a spreadsheet and manipulate it to find any meaningful numbers. What irritates me the most is that they refuse to make any changes. It's obvious that whomever created this software hasn't run a liquor store. Or run any business. Stay away from BottlePOS.
