Support from the Vatix support team has also been excellent and made sure that the implementation of the system and training for our 500 users was slick and hassle free. We are also impressed with the ongoing development work to improve the performance and functionality of Protector. Would highly recommend the product and company Pros We were looking to replace an outmoded lone working alert system for something that was app based, cost effective and simple to use to keep our front line workers safe while working alone. This we found in the Protector alert system from Vatix. It is so simple to download and can be set up and activated immediately. Its intuitive functionality means that timed alerts can be set, changed and stopped within seconds and its emergency alarm setting is a reassuring function for our staff. Linking to a live location map is an added safety feature and means that our service managers can see at a glance if any issues in the field need attention. It is exactly what we need to support our staff carrying out lone working activities in the community. IT Manager Packaging and Containers Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Evolving software, good quality hardware" May 23, 2022 3.0 Lone worker protection is what we needed to achieve. This has done it. Pros Actually it is the hardware that is the most impressive, good quality, robust and simple to operate. The response from the monitoring team is also prompt and professional. Cons We did have an issue with the QR Code scanning feature on the companion mobile app which lasted a few days, meaning our people couldn't assign the devices to themselves using the mobile app. This was resolved and has since worked fine. The interface is not particularly intuitive to use and the need to switch between the Protector and Admin interfaces to perform certain functions on the users is not clear. Setting up new users and the user portal are hopefully being reviewed to improve the ease of creating new users and to allow some self maintenance by the users i.e. ability to add their own Date of Birth and verification phrase. Reason for choosing Protector We trialed other options and some are hopeless despite claiming to be suppliers to MOD etc. Poor quality cheap hardware with limited features and a total lack of waterproof and robust housing meant they are unacceptable in a physical work environment. Plus a great account manager \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] who was/is always at hand to help us and made the set up and transition so easy. Extremely helpful. In general - the whole customer service team seems very supportive and responsive. Pros The software itself is easy to use and understand. Responsive Alert Calling Centre and a system to entrust the safety of our workers with when lone working. Cons The one aspect to the device that would be useful (and only reason scored slightly lower on some of the ratings) is the ability for our front line staff to communicate with the call centre when going into a flat (resident) to note the address and to note how long. He was efficient and supportive and helped to simplify the process. We’re very happy with the product and the service and would highly recommend to others. Pros The Vatix Protector is exactly what we need. As a charity our support workers are often out late at night and from a safeguarding point of view, I need to know that they are safe at all times. Even when I’m asleep. The Vatix gives us that peace of mind that someone is always available to send help, if necessary. Set up was easy and it was simple to explain how it worked. Cons We have all found it difficult to know when the product is on or off because of the flashing lights. That’s the only confusing element. Review Source CS Charlie S. I have been managing the security of lone workers in retail, leisure and hospitality for over a decade. Switching to Protector was a real step up in capability and ease of use. The implementation was very smooth (we got up and running in a couple of days), and the ongoing engagement reporting has provided helpful reminders when necessary. Pros We use Protector’s lone worker device called the Safe Pro and the companion app so our people can scan the QR code to link it to their profile. The software has great asset tracking, plus automated alarm reports kept in the digital logbook. The feedback from staff has been positive; they say the device is easy to use, has accurate GPS + clear and loud audio for the alarm calls. Cons The Safe Pro companion app is great for sharing, but it would be nice to see other information about the status of your devices, like battery life and signal. You can see that on the Safe Pro alarm itself, but it would be nice to have it in the app too. Review Source JT Joe T. We found Vatix really easy to use, set-up and train our team on. The software is also simple to get used to and provides all the information require. The sales team and follow up have been helpful and answered our few questions in a timely manner.
