Quizlet has been a game changer in my classroom. I love the excitement it brings into our classroom, along with the great practice.

Pros

Quizlet is easy and fast to use, and the students love using it. The best part is it is a great tool to help students review vocabulary! As a teacher, I love the Quizlet Live part of the tool. The excitement it brings is amazing!

Cons

I don't have anything negative to say about Quizlet.

### "Quizlet Doesn't Deliver"

February 26, 2023

3.0

They cater to the students/teachers who use the free Quizlet. The software is cumbersome. They develop new features but haven't bothered to upgrade the unsophisticated systems that they had. The new features offer little benefit to me. Some of the changes that have been made make if more difficult for me to maneuver back and forth between classes and students. The few things I do use don't even work as well as they did when I first subscribed. The interactive features seem much more geared to elementary students. It seems almost impossible to contact them for help. The help offered via the bot, is time consuming and not customer friendly. I understand this for everyone using it for free. I don't understand paying for a service that is values customer support so little.

Pros

I like that I can assign students a vocabulary set for HW and can check to see if they did the assignment.

Cons

The software is geared toward the free users. I teach high school, and the programs seem geared toward elementary or self study. If my students use multiple devices (phone and computers) they have to create an account for each device. It isn't user friendly for the students. The sets come up automatically for them, but they aren't in my teacher system, so their work doesn't show unless I look their account up individually. This defeats the point of Analytics. I can't go back and forth between my class and the individuals without additional clicks back and forth. The software is cumbersome. I can't easily copy and paste from one class to another, without them being linked, which prohibits me from making changes in one that I don't want in the other. I'm sure there is a way-but too time consuming to figure it out. I even tried customer support directly. NOT PARTICULARLY HELPFUL. Their is almost zero customer support and help. Talking to a bot is not my idea of support. The value for Quizlet Plus is low.

### "Quizlet is an amazing learning tool"

December 14, 2021

5.0

Overall, I will continue using Quizlet for memorization-based classes, as it is an interactive way to learn the course material. Also, the options to view study sets made by other students allows me to ensure that I know all the information necessary for a particular concept.

Pros

The feature I enjoyed the most with Quizlet is the various options available to study class materials such as fun interactive games like "Gravity", multiple-choice options, matching terms, etc. Quizlet was great for my classes that required memorization such as anatomy, physiology, and biology. I also enjoyed Quizlet's option to explore flashcard sets made by other students, which made it easy to compare sets and see if I missed any core concepts.

Cons

The advertisements displayed on Quizlet can sometimes be distracting or get in the way while using the software. Also, some flashcards made by other users could have misspelled words or wrong information on them.

### "Fun Learning"

January 17, 2023

4.0

Quizlet has so many benefits and I believe all language courses should incorporate it somehow. it is innovative and interactive and keeps students motivated.

Pros

The most impactful feature is how the flashcards can be learned not just as a flashcard but also as other games and formats and it helps to keep the words in a random order making sure all the words are studied properly. I also like how fun it is and how it keeps track of the progress to give a good idea of how the students are doing with the new vocabulary.

Cons

The "live mode" requires at least 2 plus players but sometimes you are just tutoring one student and so it would be fun to also use the feature with just one player to give another alternative way of testing the student's progress.

### "Quizlet Review"

October 29, 2023

4.0

My overall experience with Quizlet has been good for the most part. Its main purpose, as I see it, is a flashcard application and does this very well.

Pros

The application is really easy to use, with a decent UI that is easy to understand. Even do I am not subscribed to their monthly subscription, the price is relatively cheap for what it delivers and could see myself paying for it. The UI is easily embedable to other applications such as Notion and Canvas.

Cons

Sometimes the UI can feel stuttery and clunky, it is not as smooth as it should be. There are also other UI elements that could be added to make the user experience better, like the ability to grab and move objects (folders, sets, etc) around and reorder them.

### "A masterpiece of e-learning for me"

November 20, 2023

5.0

I use it daily and I have had over 2000 sets. I am enjoying it a lot as a teacher and we are using in our online school now. All students love it. A few might not learn something effectively based on our empirical research findings but this is around %5. %95 learn, have fun, encouraged and inspired by Quizlet

Pros

Its gamification features A customized learning path and user-friendliness Being able to follow all the progress as a teacher Their customer service is perfect to respond to all your needs

Cons

Social learning can be improved since Quizlet live is not that good enough so classrooms cannot make use of it as much as Kahoot and Quizizz.

### "Quizlet 5/10 "

September 7, 2023

3.0

Pros

Integrating quizlet was very easy. It is a very simple application and can be used for many things; learning strategies, testing learning, reviewing items, etc.

Cons

I felt like there were some issues with the reporting tool and advancing different things. I wanted to do interactive style quizzes, but quizlet didnt offer that. Although it had interactive features and gamification, it wasnt as much as an application like Kahoot or Quizizz

Reason for choosing Quizlet

We started with Quizlet due to the price, eventually we switched away from quizlet an went with Quizziz

### "With last update, Quizlet lost the most effective way to memorize words"

June 24, 2022

3.0

Used this app both to learn and teach vocabulary. The most effective section was the WRITE section, which tested you in groups of 7 words and had you repeat the words until you could produce the word without mistakes. With that feature gone and available only in the Learn section, app has lost most of its academic value.

Pros

I used this app myself and always had my students practice new language vocabulary with this app. Most of my language classes use this app to practice for vocabulary exams. Best features and my students’ favorites were the Flashcards themselves, the Test and the Write sections. However, with the elimination of the WRITE section from the main menu, I won’t recommend this app any more and will look for alternatives. the WRITE section really helped students and me memorize and internalize words and produce them actively. With that feature gone and available only in the Learn (now paying) the app lost most of its attractiveness.

Cons

The elimination of the WRITE section from the main menu. Moving this section to the Learn feature was a BIG mistake (though it may make sense financially). This was perhaps the most effective section to have students produce language actively. The Flashcards are normally used for recognition rather than production. I would like this app to incorporate more languages for automatic reading, for example Vietnamese.

### "Highly recommended for students!!"

March 20, 2022

5.0

Pros

Quizlet is the app/website that helps me get through my classes easily. As I am a student, terms are inevitable. And as much as I love memorization, sometimes, memorizing things can be quite complicated. With the help of Quizlet, I can learn and memorize terms and concepts really easily that it's mind-blowing. They have a gamification-kind of learning, and I think that's what makes Quizlet one of the app/website that can really help students get ahead their peers. Of course, Quizlet is really famous for their flashcards. It's the best thing in Quizlet! You can study your flashcards with their variety of features: "Learn", if you are still aren't that familiar with your flashcards, "Write" for identification, "Spell" to test your spelling skills, and "Test", to test your familiarity with the flashcards! They even let you learn your stuff by playing. Using Quizlet drastically improved my familiarity with the terms used in my classes.

Cons

Quizlet is the perfect app/website for students! With that said, so far, I do not see anything in Quizlet worth calling as one of their flaws.

### "Fast and easy way to use Flashcard quizzes and to study!"

August 15, 2022

4.0

Great! Not much to critique it on. I have been using it since I was a child and now that I'm teaching other kids/students, I have passed it on to them!

Pros

It is very easy for both teachers and students to use. My students use it for vocabulary practicing on a weekly basis (two times a week at least) and their improvement is usually pretty clear. There are different ways and games that help students learn and the system remembers which terms they need more help on (starred terms) and will repeat those more often. It doesn't take me too long to make a Quizlet which I find very convenient and time saving! My students tell me they make quizzes for themselves and find the process of manually creating the quizzes helpful and easy because it helps them learn the content. The flashcard feature was great because when you tapped the flashcard, the definition or the explanation would show. It helps a lot with studying.

Cons

Quizlet used to be a completely free app, now it is requiring users pay for features that used to be free. While the membership fee isn't a lot compared to other fees, it is still a fee and some students prefer not to use Quizlet to its fullest extent because of it. Nothing else I would criticize Quizlet for!

### "Futuristic Flash Cards! "

November 25, 2023

5.0

Overall this has been a fantastic tool for my husband in grad school and my kindergartener and second grader learning sight works for multiple languages. Highly reccomend!

Pros

My husband used Quizlet during his stint with higher edu action, and we’ve carried it over into helping our kids learn. I love how easy it is to fire off a set of flash cards for anything! Quick and free, saving having to buy and fill out a bunch of index cards.

Cons

Sometimes it’s a little glitchy, but overall we have only had great experiences with Quizlet.

### "My review of Quizlet"

October 21, 2021

5.0

Excellent. Having switched to the paid option (I pay for it and not an organization) has been a positive step. It has improved my experience with Quizlet (and my pupils' experience, too)

Pros

Ever since I started paying for a subscription (I have Quizlet Teacher), I have made much better use of Quizlet. It helps me create content better, and, obviously, customize content created by other people. I also like the fact that I can create classes and folders easily.

Cons

The option can be overwhelming (there is much to get), so this is both very good and, sometimes, problematic because it makes me waste time. but tyem it I better this way.

### "Quizlet: An Essential Tool for Language Learning"

November 18, 2021

I have been using Quizlet for several years in teaching not only the Italian language but also for my literature and cinema courses. It's an absolute must-have tool!

Pros

It's ease of use, mobility, and functionality.

Cons

Quizlet should fix the live set-up to make it easier for the instructor to add students to groups or to create groups more easily.

### "Great for Vocabulary!"

July 21, 2022

My students really improved with the practice on Quizlet. I could see the progress with test scores and with everyday vocabulary usage.

Pros

This was a great tool for learning and practicing vocabulary in my class. Students liked this program to study at home.

Cons

This is great for practice, but could use features that help individualize for each student.

Reason for choosing Quizlet

Students seemed to like it better and used it more.

January 27, 2022

My main use of this software is using the flashcards and matching feature. We done use the rest.

Pros

I really like that students can practice using the flashcards and listening to it being read.

Cons

I am not impressed with the spelling feature or the gravity one. My student love the matching and enjoy beating their scores.

### "Quizlets"

April 30, 2023

5.0

I absolutely love the site, it’s a real big help for kids, teens and anyone who’s in school honestly, it’s a nice study guide and cheat sheet if you have take home tests or tests online.

Pros

I like the functionality of it and how helpful it is on tests and quizzes, you can use it for studying, it’s very versatile and they have tests/quiz answers for literally ANY test given in the US.

Cons

There are some tests given by instructors that don’t have all study questions/answers on Quizlet or they might not have them in order or the test you have, you might have to scroll through a few questions just to get to a question/answer you’re looking for

### "Incorporate Collaboration"

May 19, 2023

5.0

Quizlet is a great tool that allows me the learner to learn and retain new knowledge for a reasonably low price.

Pros

In Quizlet, there are many modes in which the learner can study a topic in various methods of learners

Cons

Anyone is allowed to create a study set and there is no bot that reviews and corrects the information given. This can create misinformation for the learner when utilizing the study set on Quizlet.

### "Gem"

December 28, 2022

5.0

So since I am a high school student so I have a lot of apps that I use to ofc make my grades higher and use them for review. This is the easiest and best way to learn. I make flash cards for exactly every test. I promise if I didn’t had this app I would fail my bIM class cuz I hate bIM since I have to know many vocabulary so I just make flash cards in quizlet. Best app ever

Pros

I don’t care what other people say like literally this app is a gem and you can not change my point of view.

Cons

I love everything about it. There is nothing about this app that should be change.

### "A classic learning software for a reason!"

September 23, 2020

5.0

Technical writing involves very specific terms, so I can easily memorize them with Quizlet. I also use Quizlet to share my flash cards easily with co-workers.

Pros

Quizlet makes it possible to carry flash cards anywhere, and to review on any device. The interface is great and intuitive. In my opinion, this is an essential software for teachers, or anyone wishing to memorize terms. It's highly useful for learning languages and technical terms.

Cons

The learn features can be lacking if you don't pay for a subscription. The live feature also requires purchase.

### "Quizlet’s quick engagement"

December 2, 2023

Overall this is a classic tool in my teaching toolkit. I use it for teaching vocabulary, revision study skills and gamifying learning.

Pros

The ability to share and customise sets. Students can create their own or I can modify existing sets. The revision activities are engaging and the team options inspire collaboration.

Cons

It isn’t as aesthetically engaging as some other quiz sites for young people.

### "Quizlet: The Flashcard Study Aid"

April 28, 2021

5.0

Ultimately, Quizlet is a great study tool that can also be used in businesses to train new employees which is helpful. I would recommend it to anyone looking to train employees quickly and effectively.

Pros

I used Quizlet extensively when I was in university and it is great for studying, due to the flashcard functionality of Quizlet. However, it is also useful in a business setting, especially for training new employees. Quizlet is very easy and intuitive to use thanks to its clean interface. You can also share ‘study sets’ with other users easily which is useful. There are many study modes on Quizlet like Learn mode which help greatly with studying. Finally, the smart grading feature is also quite useful because it corrects answers more accurately accounting for small mistakes in open ended questions.

Cons

The Pro membership has become quite expensive over the past few years which may be unappealing for some people.

### "GREAT LEARNING TOOL!"

June 3, 2021

5.0

My overall experience with Quizlet has been great. I've been studying and learning with Quizlet for years and I can say in my eyes this is the BEST learning tool to give your kids or yourself. It's very easy to set up. What makes it even easier and more fun is that it's set up like a game. It's got music in the back and you can choose your time that you get on each question. It's amazing.

Pros

What I like most about Quizlet is that it takes something so simple as a big white piece of paper, makes it digital, writes the questions and answers, and helps us stick them in our brains for long-term use. I've used it for about 2+ years for academics and music. I can say there are not many test that I have taken and didn't pass using Quizlet. Strongly recommended.

Cons

What I least like about Quizlet is that sometimes on the mobile version it glitches and gets stuck. So because of that I have got some answers wrong or have seen some answers to early and that kinda spoiled the learning experience for me. I would sometimes have to reload the page for it to act right.

### "Quizlet is great for learning and for schooling!"

May 9, 2022

Pros

I love how seamless and easy Quizlet is to use. The flashcards, the testing, and the highlighting is great for study tools.

Cons

I am not a fan of how the voice sounds when you click the audio to read the text aloud. I would like for the voice to have more of a homely feel to it.
