Planning Consultant Architecture & Planning Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Fantastic tool to obtain instant planning information and fast building approvals" September 1, 2020 5.0 To give an overall summary of my experience so far with canibuild, i was so surprised with what this software is capable of that i didnt believe it was possible for such software to exist. Since using the software i don't believe i will ever go back to completing the planning process manually. Pros There is honestly nothing else on the market that compares to this software. It gives you site specific/project specific information regarding compliance with planning requirements and regulations instantly which you would normally have to pay someone to manually assess and wait for at least a few days if not weeks for a response to proceed to the building application stage. This software has increased my productivity and provided me with the ability to obtain building approval so much faster than i have previously received at such a low cost. On top of the softwares capability, the service provided is outstanding. I have looked across the market and even with many industry contacts i have not been able to find anyone that can match what this software offers or compete with the prices offered. Cons It would be great to be able to use this software to locate underground services such as sewer locations, however i have been advised by the company that it is something they are currently working on so i look forward to using this feature. Canibuild gives me more time and freedom. Pros Canibuild is a simple and intuitive visualization aid that quickly assists the customer and I understand the position of the selected pool and its suitability compared against regulatory requirements. Combined with the simply pricing / quoting functions we can turnaround an accurate quote before leaving the customers home. Its a great sales tool adding value to my business! Once the deal is closed, Canibuild continues to add value with the automated production of architectural plans. With a click of a button we can have plans ready for submission to approving authorities. An exciting enhancement being currently trialed will allowing us submit the plans to approving authorities and order soil samples for classification with the click of a button. When complete this will greatly reduce our administrative processing delays. Cons This product has a number of features that are not yet polished or fully functional. With that said, it’s a beta that is evolving quickly. As Canibuild increasing its automation and functionality, I'll be freed up to handle more inquiries and better service customers. We have been dealing with \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] and the customer service to date has been outstanding. They have considered what the industry is needing and delivered. Well done guys!! It is still only new to Kurmond Homes however it is a god send and we are excited to get our head around all of the features and use it to its fullest potential!! Pros This program is so easy to use as well as gives so much information up front. To be able to access information such as setback, contours, site information all within minutes and in front of a client is a game changer and such a time saver. Even to be able to order contours etc from the program just makes everything so much easier. You really don't need ay other program.... Not much more to say except that i am really happy with this product Pros All of the information and tools I need to assess a property are in one place where i would previously have to visit three or four different websites. Cons There are still a few bugs and the UI sometimes doesn't scale or fit well within different sized computer screens, but this is a minor issue that does not take away from the functionality of the product Review Source JG Josh G. I made a big mistake in switching to canibuild Pros nothing really. the demo they show has much better definition than what you actually get historical pics are nowhere near as comprehensive as nearmap. Cons platform is terrible. resolution is lacking definition. near map has a much better and easier to use interface. You cannot select a property unless the address matches the data base so if its a near title or rural where numbers are not in the system you can't select that property. whereas with other programs you just move the screen to the location and select whatever you want Review Source BA Brett A. Being from a rural area the company has listened to what I am trying to achieve out of the product and they act on it very swiftly. The customer service is second to none and the person that I have been in fairly constant communication with (\[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] is the name of the person in question) has been fantastic. We are working through ideas and improvements to the program to the extent that I now go straight to the system to begin a quote for a new pool. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] is fantastic to deal with as customer service is everything. Pros The software is still developing (and quickly) It enables me to have an initial look at where I want to place a pool for the customer without having to go out on site. It gives me my measurements to boundaries etc and enables me to see what size pool is the most appropriate for the site. Cons Its not really what I like least about the software but it is still developing and has progressed a long way since i started using it only a few weeks ago. The star ratings that I have given on the previous page is only based on the fact the the program is still progressing. I can see it is going to be a very valuable tool for our business. Pros The thing I like most about this software is its simpliciy and ease of use. Other software I have seen can be quite complex. CaniBuild has a great balance of power and speed. The added value that i receive as a salesman for the extra effort being put in to win the job is great. After that, the ease to converting the project into the architectural plan then the final approval is seamless and makes my workload 10 times less. Pros CanIBuild has done a great job of combining the available information related to site approvals all in one location and have been great at developing and adapting the software to suit our particular industry needs. Cons As it is still in development there are areas lacking and not all sites can be reviewed but the team are adding features and increasing coverage on a weekly basis Reason for choosing Canibuild The ability to immediately get answers and results is very helpful. When I have an issue they come straight back to me and follow it up with a phone call, even on a Sunday! Pros Being able to place one of our designs onto the site and it shows the height of the flor above Natural Ground Level is a bonus.. Really there are many positive features in Canibuild and they are bringing more and more out it seems every week or two. Cons Canibuild is still evolving and as such some features are not available in all areas. Pros We use this app mainly for virtual site visits to get an idea of access, land contours and sizing. Cons Occasional building lines aren't correct and the drawing feature is a bit tricky to use. Pros I like that with ease I can place a pool on a property with knowing what the elevation is, which then determines what type of build the pool will be before I phone the customer. I like to be able to present to our customer a professional plan which is easy to read and also easy to make. The ability to be able to place proposed plans or houses on site looks very professional helping us to make a good first impression with our potential clients. Pros The contour app, and the high res up to date images are a stand out as well as the instant report produced showing items that will need to be checked to get building approval. Cons The ability to place multiple structures on the property searched would be helpful as well as the ability to save work or go back to previous versions if you make a mistake.
