Pros Easy to use, little to no errors. Product is returned, ready to go in VERY little time. Cons Wish, after it was saved, that I could go back and continue dictating in the same file. I've recommended them to several other colleagues for their projects. Pros They are fast and easy to use. While their turn around time is stated at 24 hours, they frequently exceed that SLA. I've never had an issue with editorial issues either. My industry has a lot of specific jargon with difficult spellings. I always upload scripts and the captions always come back perfect. Cons This is minor, but some of the UX could be improved when it comes to adding support files etc. I also with there was direct connection to my vimeo channel or other video hosts. And if I'm not pleased with a transcriptionists work, I just make that known and that transcriptionist no longer gets jobs from our organization. Their caption services are also great and make captioning videos so easy as I can edit the captions in Rev, export the file, and upload it right into the video platform that I'm using. Cons I've been very happy with Rev's performance for the price that they charge. Reason for choosing Rev Their accuracy, speed, and price for services. They go above and beyond. Since implementing REV I have not received a single inquiry. Pros Accuracy, ability to add custom words to the dictionary, proposed multi-lingual capabilities. In many cases, they have completed out captioning projects in less time than advertised. Cons Panopto captions are not named as they are set up in the Panopto. Pros This is a great tool for the content marketer. You can take audio in the form of podcasts or youtube videos and in minutes have a fully transcribed copy. Cons Our field has a lot of technical words that are not very common, it struggles with these, also with any brand-specific words. It would be nice if some AI component could be taught how to transcribe particular words. For example, you say a word 3 times and write what the word is. I think the price is fair and the quality is great most of the time. Cons The one thing I would say is to make the search slightly more intuitive, I don't know what is wrong but it is sometimes impossible to find files that I know are in there. Secretary really appreciate being able to use the transcription for documenting the meeting minutes. Pros It was set up and tested in less than 10 minutes. The person that requested CC was satisfied with the results. Cons No problems at all. It was able to do what was needed to meet accessibility requirements for Zoom meetings and webinars.
