Pros I thought the lifetime license for creating E-Books was fantastic value at $27 and makes creating E-books very simple and easy. Cons I disliked that the lifetime license only allows you to create Free Ebooks to giveaway and you needed to upgrade to a monthly or annual payment to sell them, I also thought some of the pricing for the video transition was a tad expensive at $300 per month considering it is being done by software. I bought an AI software that costs me $29 per month and it allows me to create as many transcriptions from videos as I want for up to 30-minute videos. We can create a quick lead magnet and choose an ebook cover image to get the magnet launched quickly on our website. Creating a higher quality ebook would probably require a more experienced designer or different software. Pros I wanted an easy to create ebooks for my website and for clients' websites. It imports your blog posts for you and gets you started with ebook creation. Cons It is somewhat limited on design capabilities. While we could easily import content, sometimes it imported too much and we had to clear everything out and start over. Where I used to dread writing a book, I am now working on it day and night. It's really beautiful. It really inspires me to work hard. I just can't stop. I would prefer not to do anything else. The result is fantastic. And if I don't know how to solve certain problems in, for example, the layout, I use the chat option. Usually I get help very quickly despite the time difference (I live in the Netherlands; maybe my English is not quite good?) Pros It makes it very easy for you to keep your book looking very good and professional. Initially I thought I had to prepare everything in 'Word'. But working in your concept book is also very easy. It makes me very proud of my own book. Or actually 'books'. I already know that I am going to write a whole series with this program. I love it! I wanted it to work. But my first and only designrr ebook will be the last. I expect things to go wrong but the real color shows when things go wrong. If all works well go for it. But be warned. It's not going to be pleasant when things go wrong. Pros The ebook looks great. It's nice to import from Google docs. Cons Bugs, bugs, and more bugs. I imported from Google docs. Support said I copied bad code and that's why my book breaks. Fonts change, paragraphs break in many short sentences. Support said I must clear cache. Or get training. Formating stuff needs training but I have written very many blogs and articles. I then went to support. They stop supporting. Manager Sports Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "You can create a professional looking ebook for $29" December 3, 2020 4.0 I have created the ebook that I wanted, and it has only cost me $29. And I will use Designrr again and again. So it has ended up being great value for me. Pros So the $29 version is the basic version and you get lifetime access for that. But that version does everything you need to create a professional looking ebook. The price jumps up to $39 per month for the pro version, but there was nothing that I needed which wasn't included in the basic version. You can create a very good looking ebook. Cons There is definitely a learning curve and you have to stick with it through a bit of frustration. I did give up once actually as I was finding it a bit complicated, but then I went back to it, paid attention to a few of the tutorials and it all started to make sense. May 24, 2021 3.0 I really try to use it (I already pay for it). But every tiome I try to make a professional-looking document. I prefer to switch to Microsoft Word. Pros The most useful feature is to import blog pages. Just put the URL and the program can import the contents to an editable document. Another useful feature is when you can choose the style of yoiur document with different covers, colors, fonts, etc. Cons It is really hard to get a professional look. Most of the times you end with a boring, dull looking document. And the online editor is very bad. Working with paragraphs is hard, you could do a better and easiest work with Microsoft Word. Reason for choosing Designrr I bought it because I believed in their advertisement. I think I will give it a few more tries but in the end maybe I left it for good. Not well expended money. But highly recommend and very affordable. Pros What I love most is the ability to take any document, word, pdf even a blog post and with a few clicks turn it into a beautiful ebook! Cons The interface comes with a bit of a learning curve, but there are videos that help. Support is also very prompt and they offer a video call to troubleshoot. I'd advise exploring the features and checking out video tutorials, but mostly it's pretty self explanatory. Am looking forward to developing some of my earlier training collateral with Designrr. Pros What works for me is that I can prepare my document in WORD and then upload it to Designrr to give it a very polished and professional look. Cons I struggled at first with doing basic things such as moving paragraphs up and down a page or I ended up with a double set of Table of Contents. I got very frustrated as I'm not a techie and mature in years. Customer Service helped me a lot and when they suggested a 30 minute session with one of the trainers, I jumped at the chance. I like that they always announce the new improvements and make a video to watch on the facebook page so you can try any new additions straight away. Pros I loved the fact that it was easy to learn how to use the tools provided and used step by step guidance where needed. I was always able to find the answer to any questions and Pop up Help was quick and easy too. My friends were amazed at how professional my e-Books look. Cons Sometimes I forgot to switch off the tog when changing something like a Header and later realised it had change all the other pages Headers too when I didn't want it to. With designrr I can eliminate that process for good. Pros I like the fact that I can write a book and turn it into an ebook and flipbook without a cost of a publisher. I can also sell the download. Make a mini book from the first few chapters to promote the full novel. I had written a book a few years ago and self published it with a company. Yet I don't receive much on the royalties from it. Plus they are selling it at a price that I believe it too high. With designrr I can sell it at a more reasonable price. Cons There are a few draw backs in the design faze. It separates the text into different elements when I imported my raw data. When I tried to make changes I have to rewrite certain sections to get it where I want it.
