I believe we can easily train the next gen of officers to keep using Designrr and implementing the unique monthly newsletter format developed by the officer team. Pros Our Toastmasters' team jumped into video and newsletters without abandon. We started with MailChimp but discovered Designrr after the first edition. The quality of our digital content jump 100% by adding a professional look and design. I did it in a day! We are excited to try out the flipbook feature next. Cons It did take a bit of trial and error to figure out the right sequence, but that is due to using so many other tools first. I'm very happy! Pros I am an author; not a publisher, but since the industry is forcing us to be both a platform like Designrr is a must. Well, is there another that compares? Probably not. I am basically getting started, but so far I'm a huge fan. In the past I've tried other software products, but there were always many challenges. This time I'm relieved! Thanks so much. I am just a wannabe writer, but I believe it can also help me when translating. I sent the suggestion to my old boss. He is a writer and it might be of interest to him. Pros I really love the ease of use. It is one of the most valuable tools for writers or aspiring writers I have ever found. Cons I believe the tool, though valuable, is not that user friendly. It's daunting to have to design an ebook after writing the actual words, so I like that this makes it a LOT easier. I will be writing more ebooks with this software. Pros I love that you can import from Google docs right to the ebook format. That makes things super convenient. I like that it publishes right to Kindle as well. It's pretty easy to format things and move around. Cons Sometimes when you move sections up or down, it moves other sections too far. April 12, 2021 5.0 I am opening a youtube channel in which I have complex technical material to promote. I decided that data and information-packed e-books with short promotional videos were a better option than long hard-to-adsorb videos to explain my material. Even the standard DESIGNRR package had what I needed and now I am upgrading to PRO Pros Easy transference from my existing technical articles, I use a lot of illustrations and quotes and DESIGNRR has the format to insert them fast! Pros I love so much the way you can convert a PDF file into a flipbook. I personally use Microsoft Publisher to create my product, then save it as a PDF and import it into Designrr. Brilliant! You just select New Project, Import from PDF ( Book Icon ) That's It, job done! :-) Cons I haven't found any drawbacks so far. Pros I was able to immediately take a powerpoint presentation I did and turn it into a workbook for my clients to use. Totally upgraded my look and professional image. Cons It would have been nice to be able to put a cover sheet on the page and a finish sheet, but I realize now that I could go back and redo my powerpoint for that purpose. There is lots of training and help available, but I needed very little assistance to create a worksheet I needed for a client in just a short amount of time. Pros I purchased the product primarily to produce digital flip book versions of my published physical books. No kidding, was able to make a slight modification to the pdf that was published on Amazon, upload the final pdf to Designrr, and be amazed at the finished flip book in about 30 minutes. March 31, 2021 5.0 Once I got over the hump of figuring out how to get the software to do what I wanted, it was a relief because I'd been using Canva, which has unreliable formatting. Pros I like the formatting, and the finished product. Cons It's a little clunky, and the learning curve is a little difficult. Switched from [Canva](https://www.capterra.com/p/168956/Canva/) Canva, when you're making PDFs, especially longer PDFs can have the formatting go all wonky. I was able to have a professional-like way to transform knowledge into ebooks in a few minutes and without much effort. There is a learning curve though. Pros This tool is fantastic and has immense potential. The fact that we can turn knowledge stored in a wide variety of formats (pdf, word, url, ppt, etc.) into professional looking ebooks in minutes is extraordinary. Very useful for generating lead magnets or independent publications. Cons It is not always easy to use and intuitive. There is a learning curve. But they have lots of guides to help. Some great potential features are only available in more expensive and inaccessible plans (e.g. transcripts), which is a pity. Working the text in the editor doesn't work very well.
