No problems with Amaka. Perhaps the timeframe of booking a session but really this didn't pose too much of an issue.

Amaka is good, however I have to wait a few days to book in a time to fix a problem which most of the time is urgent.

Pros

The mapping to the specific accounts from Sqare to Xero helps me understand the financials.

Cons

The limited time on the zoom of 30 minutes as somethings werent finalized over the call so had to rebook or follow up by email.Also there was a lady called \[sensitive content hidden\] which I found difficult to understand, she had a very strong accent so spent a lot of time reinterating what needed to be done.Also the times that are offered for the zoom calls dont really work for us as most are in the evenings or early mornings not our normal working hours from 9am till 5pm

We already had amaka from Square to Xero so I decided to have Amaka for Shopify to Xero

Pros

We changed our login user credentials for access to Square which required us to reconnect a new integration. While a backend solution for this was not available (perhaps for the roadmap), \[sensitive content hidden\] opened our old integration and walked us through the previous settings on Zoom. This made it much easier for us to avoid data entry errors and allow a seamless transfer to xero.

Cons

That this required a support session rather than a backend migration that could have been supported via a ticket.

Originally using Amaka was simple but when there were a few upgrades made which forced us to change the way we mapped the account code integration. We worked it out in the end, but I preferred the way we had overall choice with how to map codes. Maybe this is the difference between the free version as opposed to premium though. I will see!

Free integration from square to myob and choice in how to map fields

Cons

Lack of choice with how to customise the fee processing or the account codes that they were mapped against.

Overal, the experience was solid. Just what you want from an integration software

Pros

The set up was simple and one month of historical data was imported without hiccups

Cons

Sometimes daily sales integrations fell over from Shopify if there were any unusual transactions. I had to regularly check all had been uploaded.

Price was more affordable for an uncomplicated small business

I think \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] is the best asset for Amaka and I always come back to her. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\], I cannot thank your support enough every time I had an issue. You always accommodate, patient and make sure the problem is solved 100%. Thank you so much, I love working with you.

Pros

Easy to use, Customer support is the best.

Cons

UK & US timing difference sometimes means that we do not get the customer support in the short notice. However, having said that \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\], who is the person I deal with goes out of her way to support, help and book a slot to suit my timings even if slot is not available online. Thank you so much for that \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\].

### "Excellent customer Service"

I am not a software expert in any sense of the word. The business had POS that needed to integrate with the accounting system. AMAKA was recommended to me. Each time I have dealt with AMAKA I have found them very quick to respond and tell me in ordinary language what the issue is. They have always been able to resolve the issue for me without making me feel like an idiot. They are just there in the background doing whatever it is they need to do to keep the POS talking to the accounting sofwtare.

Pros

AMAKA was suggested by our POS provider to integrate the POS with our accounting system. I knew (and still know) nothing at all about the software itself but I am very happy that it all works in the background as it is supposed to.

Cons

I have no idea about anything bad about the software

### "We saved time and we stopped wasting money "

We always manually entered the sales on our POS system (that time Chromis POS) to our accounting software (Xero) but as our business got bigger that task stole to much valuable time. So we started using a new POS system (Loyevers) with Amaka. Amaka gave us so much time back by sending our sales from our POS to our accounting software automatically and it saves us money because we can now use that time for bigger things.

Pros

So easy to get up and running.Affordable.We made a mistake on our side and support was so helpful and fixed it almost instantly.

Cons

What we use it for there is no downsides. Maybe one thing is they could have marketed more so we could've gotten it sooner.

### "Automate Bookkeeping Activities "

No system is perfect but the difference with Amaka is that their support staff goes above an beyond to help trouble shoot any issues that may arrive. Their support staff is always available and very responsive in helping resolve our questions.

Pros

The set up process was easy and Amaka support helped with all steps along the way. The system allows us to automate many of the bookkeeping process that were we doing manually which in turns allows us to be more confident in our financial reporting.

Cons

I have no cons to mention. The product received is exactly what we expected.

Very positive and of all the other integrations we have to use as part of our business AMAKA is my favourite

Pros

Very responsive and helpful team when it comes to set up and any issues that occasionally arise. Jacquelyn is particularly helpful with IMPOS x Xero integration. We also use Amaka for SQUARE x Xero integration.

Cons

occasionally the syncing can go amiss and then I have to reach out to ask the team to fix. However they are quite responsive so it's not been an issue

We are solving the reconciliation issues with Square & Xero together. \[sensitive content hidden\] is working behind the scenes for me to ensure the problems have ben fixed.

Pros

I like the ease of booking appointments. \[sensitive content hidden\] made it really easy & she is very knowledgeable.

Cons

I didnt like how there isn't enough PRE information about pricing structure. \[sensitive content hidden\] mentioned in our meetings about paying a monthly fee for up keep on the account but I didnt know that there was a monthly fee for this service.

Pros

I am not a very technical person however I find the software extremely helpful with all our accounting needs. The service and aftercare we receive is second to none. We have a great working relationship with \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] he is always friendly, supportive, patient, knowledgable and more that happy to help.

Cons

Infrequent glitches with the integration but \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] is always very helpful and resolves any issues for us. He is great.

The fact that we can set it up once and not worry about it again is great. More importantly, the customer service is amazing if we ever want to update anything.

Cons

It would be easier if we had access to update account codes on our own and access to the platform itself

Pros

Amaka's customer service is great! You can always expect to hear back from them within 24 hours, but usually it's a lot sooner than that.

Cons

I wish you could see more information on the sync history page, like the amount of the sync. That would greatly help troubleshoot sync issues. Also, the integration seems to be interrupted often. I would like to see this happen less often.

### "Amaka Helps Streamlines our Accounting and Invoicing"

Pros

The most impactful feature is the minimal to no input required, to record each transaction/payment in MYOB, which allows your business to focus more on making sales and sending invoices, rather than recording payments or having to create duplicate invoices if you use account keeping software and invoice through Square. The product is easy to setup an integrate with our businesses upgrade to MYOB Business Online solution.

Cons

It would be great to have more documentation on the Amaka website, for how payments are recorded in MYOB or any other accounting software. Given the integration requires other accounts to be created within MYOB such as Square Balance, Square Other Clearing Account, Square Sales etc., a guide to help with recording your first couple of payments, what syncs and how it syncs, would of made the setup seamless and time to learn being minimal. Once you have everything working and a few payments being processed, there is nothing difficult with the integration.

Reason for choosing Amaka

This was the only option available to integrate Square with MYOB.

Pros

This has reduced the manual sales recording and reconciliation process plus the unlimited customer support.

Cons

It would be good if there were written, step-by-step explanations. That said, the live customer support is much more helpful.

Integration was easy. I needed tech support to assist in synching historical data and they were easy to work with and accomplished the task. I have since had one other issue - again, tech support was easy to work with and accomplished the task!

Pros

The integration between Square and QBO is simplified and works very well.

Cons

There is a time difference between my location and where tech support is located so sometimes there is a delay in getting a response, but ultimately they have done a great job.
