They provide reliable metrics and graphs which in turn lets you monitor your data systems with ease. The ase of deployment and free pricing along with the extra features makes it the topmost choice for anyone looking for a database monitoring software. Pros PMM is very easy to deploy. You can have it running and start monitoring your DBs within no time at all. It has a very user-friendly interface and an intuitive communication dashboard. Query Analysis (QAN) is super powerful and lets you find out problematic queries and how they can be improved. The alerting and tracking tools are also on-point. Most of all, it's open source and free, providing great relief to DBAs who otherwise had to manually monitor their databases. Cons The error log is rather unhelpful in identifying the actual problem while installing. It simply throws an error handshake and we are stuck having to identify the root cause on our own. There's also flexibility issues, especially with PostgreSQL, the setup is a bit difficult.
