It is functional and allows me to track expenses and issue invoices, but I feel like it is the bare minimum one could expect from a piece of construction accounting software. Pros To get a construction focused accounting product at the price point seems fair. To have access to job tracking, cost code tracking and equipment tracking out of the box is attractive. Additionally, the AIA invoicing is a must for any contractor working on larger jobs. Cons The almost non-existent, non communicative customer service. You need to be willing to submit a ticket via a portal without any external confirmation or record of the ticket and then sit by your phone waiting for a response that may take days to come. Further, there is no mechanism to escalate a ticket in the event that you have encountered a downtime scenario. A tie for lack of customer service is the reporting functionality. Be prepared to export everything to Excel and manipulate the data from there. While you will have access to large swaths of your data in the reporting tool, it takes time and experience to get anything meaningful and very little of it is presentation worthy. The customer service has always been quick to act. Pros Ease of use for setting up unions. They are truly the construction standard for union payroll and reporting. Cons The reports could use some tweaking and refinement. Report writer is a little difficult to use at times depending on what you are trying to do. I think it is over priced for there being so many features that i cannot even use. Pros customer support is great. And i can quickly find any information that i need. There are alot of options for any type of business. Cons It is not very easy to use. I have been using foundation for 4 years and there is still so much that i do not know. Their customer service is great, with knowledgeable employees willing to assist, and their response times for assistance are fast. Their products have helped streamline our workflows, saving time and money in the long run. Pros Although not every feature we subscribe to is available directly within the main"Foundation" platform, they provide easily integrable solutions for all our needs. All the solutions are very easy to use and can be learned quickly. The launch process for each of the products we use was done step-by-step with a dedicated transition manager, and we never felt like we were left in the dark. Their customer service is impeccable. Cons Although there are many customizable features within many of the Foundation products, I do wish there were some additional options available. However, they do offer the ability to submit suggestions about changes, which are tallied and prioritized for potential future buildouts.
