### "Centurylink Highspeed Internet has Easy Install and Access "

I was a Centurylink customer for over 5 years and enjoyed high speed internet as well as travel options.

Pros

Ease of use I set up the modem myself and was able to move and set up the modem again in my new location easily

Cons

the billing was difficult to understand and therefore I kept being charged late fees that led to more charges

My experience with Century Link has be more neutral than anything. Google Fiber being my favorite, Century Link is the 2nd, and I absolutely despise Spectrum. The good thing about CenturyLink is that it's more available than google fiber.

Pros

Century Link is a premium internet provider. It's functional and consistent. It's priced well, not the cheapest but definitely not the most expensive. I'd put it in the middle if I was ranking internet providers.

Cons

I don't like that it's not more available. Spectrum is usually the option I'm stuck with when I'm living or working outside of major cities. It would gain a better rating if it was more available in less populated areas.

Overall I had a negative experience with CenturyLink. They push products/packages/upgrades too hard and are very clearly money hungry. They also outsource their customer service to a call-house/call-houses in India - more than half the time I needed help, someone with a heavy Indian accent answered my calls, and while they need and deserve jobs, it's really important that a companies support team can be understood by their customers, especially when tension/frustration/etc can be involved easily.

Pros

Their service was adequate for my households needs, and their customer service was very fast and usually polite and very helpful. I also appreciated the customer incentives they offered.

Cons

I did not like the fact that they were my only choice in my area, or that their pricing was too steep for the services I needed.

The people did not help me and they was more concerned about selling me Internet. I want my $218 back.

LumenCenturyLink The worst never use century Link bright speed Internet Wi-Fi the worst Internet ever they did not help me with my problems and was more concerned about selling Internet then refunding the money

Cons

Someone hacked into my account and paid $218. I only pay $80 a month for Ritter. Someone took out $218 to pay this Internet service and they did not give my money back but I’m getting it back either through my bank or through them.

Very nice people, however service hours and dealing with customers time is not very useful. Getting a call back from upper management never happened.

Pros

I did not have a choice for service, but customer service was friendly, and made using the service easy.

Cons

For being in heavy service area, use was very spotty and not useful, especially with severe weather.

For my business I had comcast internet for years. I was always frustrated by their service and outages. I am in an industry where I cannot afford downtime and it happened a lot. I finally switched to fiber which is costing me 4X's as much.

Pros

The price was good when it worked for my small business with two locations. The dashboard for billing was good also

Cons

Too many outages and never fixed in a timely manner. Customer service is wonky. Long wait times to talk to someone and many transfers to get a problem solved.

Terrible! Our overall experience with century link has been the worse! We have preferred any other service rather than century link.

Pros

I disliked just about everything regarding century link. From the service they provide, the data plans, and billing. It’s all horrendous!

Cons

I disliked the fact they have steadily increased the cost of services +20% year over year. There have been no significant improvements to local infrastructure to support the demand of software expansion.

Overall if the service was working then it was great. However, if it ever went down then the time it took to contact, connect with and get any type of resolution was very difficult.

Pros

Overall mostly good service once its set up. Fast response time and decent customer service but slow.

Cons

Soo many outages and drops - downtime that just isn't acceptable in a realm where every second counts and missed connections mean missed money

It was great internet for the price. I actually liked the CenturyLink app. It was modern, clean, and showed me only what I needed to see.

Pros

Great app to manage my internet bill, check on internet status, see what's new, and schedule maintenance if needed.

Cons

There were moments when the service would go down and be down for a while. It was never longer than a day, but a few hours at a time really negatively impacted our experience. The app was good but it would often have us sign in again and again.

I had a great overall experience because the internet plan was very reliable and stable and I never really had to call in to troubleshoot.

Pros

I liked how the internet was secure compared to other wifi router brands such as xfinity because my connection would rarely be unstable

Cons

What I liked the least was the price because I felt that it was a little expensive especially considering there were no major deals or plans for a discount

Pros

What I liked most about century link Is nothing. I don't like anything about century link.

Cons

What I liked least about century link is that they will continue to charge you, keeping your account open, and refuse to allow you to close it but yet restrict your access to their data servers, and rack up your bill to over $800 all without allowing you to access their internet, and after you told them to close the account and shut the service off.
