Works fast and it's easy to use across all media types. Pros As a small time content creator I was looking for a simple to use tool to help me catalogue video footage to help me find it later on. Kyno is super simple to use, allows you to drill down into certain folders with ease. Taggin, notes and playback all work really well. Being able to set the in and out points, or make markers is great too. Cons Umm I can't really think of anything. It does everythng I want really well. AND things just keep getting better. We could clearly see, in just our initial research before we purchased, how much they've added to Kyno in last few years. So simple to set up and learn. Pros Works wonderfully with our video editor, FCPX, finding assets, round-tripping metadata, etc and fantastic for long term archival of metadata for our video assets. Best to give it a test drive like we did. Although Kyno is not a full fledged MAM it's pretty close, very easy to use and at a better non-profit price point than what we could find out there. Metadata, metadata, metadata is so key and Kyno really shines in that area. Cons Not really a con for us. But be aware that Kyno is not a massive fortune 500 company. If it were you'd pay dearly for their software and support. They're a mom and pop shop and they do a great job considering their size.
