Our free version allows unlimited usage of our WordPress plugin integrations and up to 1,000 posts to social media as a way to try out that "Pro" feature. This tool is my go-to tool to use whenever I want to do some complicated automation for which there is no plugin that could do it for me. With all the things that I need to do with my sites or with my clients sites there isn't a plugin for all the needs. Luckily Uncanny Automator is the all-purpose key that is good to open multiple doors when stuck. Many times I had to tell my clients "you can't do that" or "that's not possible" when they had some crazy idea about how they wanted their site to work. But with Uncanny Automator I don't need to say that so often anymore. While other plugins can do all sorts of things that affects how your site looks or what it does, with Uncanny Automator you can create entire automatic sequences that start when a certain trigger is pushed by a certain tool, and automatically starts the cogs in those machines. You want to connect 2 sites, or 3 together? Then Uncanny Automator is the answer. It does require you to start thinking like "cogs in a machine" type of way - in a more technical manner - if you want to create complicated recipes, but once you get the hang of it, things will be so much easier for you when the magic of automation does the work for you. Pros Uncanny Automator is one of those tools that should be complicated to use, for advanced users, but yet, somehow, they managed to make this tool pretty intuitive and easy to use. Categorizing things into triggers, actions and recipes. It has a lot of integrations with many new integrations being added on every update. The "Sample Recipes" gives me great ideas to create special sequences. The Webhooks is the golden feature for when there isn't any integration available. I like the fact that they integrate with newly developed marketing tools that aren't so much used yet, like FluentCRM, PrestoPlayer - most likely because of the connections with the authors, but I do appreciate this indeed. Uncanny Automator mainly unlocks things that your website can do - automatically - which only other expensive software would allow you to do. It's like having the ability to create a custom plugin easily, for your own needs, without having a clue about coding. Or you can create things that multiple, existing expensive plugins can do, but for a smaller fee. Cons The plugin is mostly for WordPress integrations. While, in my opinion, I see great potential for expansion by integrating with other tools as well, the developers don't want to focus on this. I tried to persuade them to integrate with Mautic, but they claimed they only integrate with WordPress plugins. Yet, somehow they have an integration with Twitter, Zoom, GoToWebinar, GoogleSheets - all which, obviously, aren't WordPress plugins. While the connections with the authors of new plugins made them jump on creating integrations for those, they didn't hurry to create integrations for more-used plugins like s2member, claiming it isn't a very used product, even though they have more than 1 million downloads. So I'm not fond of the inconsistency of their criteria when requesting features. The support is very helpful with dealing with issues, bugs or helping with questions, but when requesting new features it's like they shut off from whatever you're suggesting. So both the Pros and the Cons is that it's for WordPress mainly. It's great that it works with other WordPress tools, but it's also bad that it's mostly only for WordPress tools. There is area for expansion. Switched from [Zapier](https://www.capterra.com/p/130182/Zapier/) Honestly I only used Zapier briefly because of the $50/month fee. While Zapier has a lot of integrations, it's actually not so good for integrating with WordPress specifically, and the fact that, if you want a decent integration you need the $50/mo plan, since the $20/mo isn't enough for any decent website. And even with the $50/mo plan, you only get 2000 tasks. A per-task tool gets very expensive, and I'd rather have a self-hosted tool that has unlimited tasks with big recipe sequences and at a yearly cost. As for how we select which new integrations to support, what we prioritize is generally a combination of user requests, how developer-friendly the product/vendor is (we have had some challenges here with older membership plugins), product growth rate and install base.
