Overall it's cool to use you get a free local number to reach out

Pros

If I cant afford to pay my phone bill that month. That I have an option to use this app and call and text anyone for free

Cons

That you have to play games or watch videos just to get credit once you run out of free minutes. I dont always have time

All in all, with text free being as convenient as it is, I no longer have a home phone. I was able to reduce my monthly bills and keep my service.

Pros

Text Free is the simplest and most convenient voip app on the market. I love the cost of the premium plans, no voip app has a better price for the premium use. The customer's support specialists are amazing. I got locked out of my account. Couldn't remember my password or my security questions. They had me back in up and running, and back on the phone in fifteen minutes.Thank you Text Free.

Cons

The voip voice reliability, not so reliable.Three out of five calls will drop in and out. Even if you have a strong wifi signal.

As mentioned above I found this app hard to use due to the advertisements and the call quality not being great. But the ability to get a free US number is hard to turn your nose up to.

The basic package is free The app is very straight forward and easy to use Available on Android and IOS

Cons

The advertisements are very annoying The call quality can be very choppy Customer service can be non existent

Pros

The best thing about text free application is right in its own name in my opinion and that's the fact that it's free

Cons

What did I like like the least amount about text free by pinger, umm over all It would have to be the Ads

This was my go to texting app for years . There is a lack of stable cellular service where i live, and being able to still call and text via wifi has been outstanding

Pros

It allowed me to freely communicate and text even without cell service.

Cons

Cons

I had to constantly remember to check the app to make sure that my number wasn't being given away. And the ads.

I can create a new number and not use my personal line. It makes useful for talking to clients using a work line

Cons

Sometimes they do not provide you with a 203 area code since I’m in CT I would prefer that area code when texting clients

You can keep your contacts organized and it really is easy to use. Would recommend using it. Try it!

This was a useful software experience, until it went unused, and I lost the number.

Pros

I like that it is free text messaging software, and that it lets me create a personal phone number (unlike web based texting that does not let you keep a number). I sometimes used this number to mask my personal phone number, for security reasons.

Cons

When I stopped using it for a month or so, I lost the number.

Textfree is a free online texting option. You can save your contacts, and send group messages. It's really great

Cons

Sometimes you have to send a message to view the earlier messages, if your previous message was sent a few weeks before.

Pros

I like that this software is free. No better price then that!

Cons

When using mass messaging, it shows everyone's number and everyone gets the replies. Not reliable, messages don't always send.

Scale of 0 to 10, i'd say a 6, the earning credits was a major knock down for me & then ads.

Pros

Free to download. Any app that helps keep my phone from going crazy all hours of the night, im able to just mute one all and go with my day. Helps me keep my 9 to 5 and my vida loca apart.

Cons

I dislike the fact i have to earn credits in order to make calls. That was a BIG thing for me. In my field, i don't have the extra time to earn points i have to clean.

Pros

I like how the app allows me to text and call people around the world for free or a small fee. It also gives me a phone number to use, this is useful when traveling!

Excellent! I’ve had to use this app multiple times over the years. Easy as signing up with your email and picking a number. Sometimes a previous number I’ve used will be an option and my old messages are actually still saved so that’s kind of neat.

Pros

I don’t know how many times I’ve been without reliable cell service provider or just been plain broke and TextFree is the most hassle free way to get a dependable phone phone number that’s available practically anywhere and it’s free.

Cons

The option to get a verification text was kind of a let down so I couldn’t use it to verify emails or log ins however now with the premium version that amenity is provided

A simple and quick way to set it all up so I can start using it right away. I like that I don't have to upload all my contacts to it. I can add the ones I want which helps me to keep person and business separate. But if I don't use it enough in a certain time frame then I have to set up new one and pick a different number to send text. At 1st I didn't use it enough cause I was just getting started.

Pros

Able to have a free way to text so I can keep text from my personal use separate from ones I use to sell my bottles and talk to customers.

Cons

I don't know if it is a glitch or not but seems if you don't use it alot that they stop letting you continue using the number you got. So have to start over.

Overall, TextNow was a really nice experience and I do recommend.

Pros

What I liked about TextFree was before I had a job so I could pay for phone service, TextFree gave me the perks of being able to text and call as long as I was connected to wifi. I know that they now offer actual service plans with sim cards as well.

Cons

What I liked the least about TextNow was,back when I used it, the fact that to use it I had to be connected to wifi.
