My journey with Leadpages took a turn for the worse when I attempted to cancel my Pro Annual subscription. Expecting a prorated refund for the unused portion of my service - a fairly standard practice in today's customer-centric business world - I was met with a cold, inflexible stance. Despite my reasonable request, and having paid in advance for services I no longer intended to use, Leadpages outright refused any form of refund, hiding behind the small print of their Terms of Service. The response from their support team, while polite on the surface, revealed a deeper issue within Leadpages' culture: a fundamental disregard for customer satisfaction and fairness. Their insistence on sticking rigidly to their TOS, without considering the context or fairness of the situation, was both disappointing and frustrating. The interaction was an eye-opening insight into a company that prioritizes policy adherence over customer relations and fairness. Furthermore, the cost of their services, when compared to other options in the market, is exorbitant. This realization only added to my dissatisfaction, making it clear that Leadpages is not only inflexible but also overpriced. The refusal to consider a partial refund, even when such a request was made well in advance and for legitimate reasons, speaks volumes about their approach to customer service. To add insult to injury, the final communication from Leadpages was an impersonal rejection of my request, devoid of any genuine attempt to understand or accommodate my situation. It was a clear message: Leadpages values its policies more than its customers. This experience has not only led me to cancel my subscription but also to advise others to steer clear of Leadpages. There are plenty of other services out there that value their customers and understand the importance of flexibility and fairness in today’s competitive landscape. We bypass development, which translates into weeks of lead time savings. With LeadPages, we can have a new campaign live within the hour. Often, speed to market is the underlying success of a campaign—and LeadPages delivers. Not only do we save time, we also save BIG in development dollars as we typically have to outsource a quick turnaround campaign. Additionally, I have never had to call for support. The few times I have had questions, I found ansers on the support site. Pros I've tried several landing page vendors and LeadPages meets all my needs. FInally, a tool designed for (and maybe by!) the end user, instead of an engineer. It's so easy to use, whether I design from scratch or use a template. It integrates with my email program and with GA, providing the most important success analytics and also an excellent guide for A/B testing. They have so thoughtfully included many conversion tools such as opt-in texts. LeadPages is thoughtfully created for the success of the user. Cons Although I have mastered the design aspect of LeadPages, I still wish it were easier to size different parts of the layout/design, but its grid model lends itself to being, well, modular. I can still create a beautiful landing page, but I'll never be able to start from a blank canvas. I realize LeadPages has to allow for responsive optimization, therefore understanding the need for a modular template. I'm not complaining about this—I'm just saying... Reason for choosing Leadpages Until I began employment at this company, they had never used a landing page tool. Given that I was the lead on securing this tool, I had experience with InstaPage, LeadPages and HubSpot. Before I began research on the project, my bias was LeadPages, as it is clearly the easiest to use and the one with the most widgets, tools, plus it costs less than Instapage. Using HubSpot landing pages as a stand alone tool, just wasn't good—but it does shine when integrating it with all the marketing tools Hubspot offers. Given my previous experience with LeadPages, it is what I chose for my company.—no ramp up time except for the latest upgrades they added. Truthfully, LeadPages or Instapage would do the job. My \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] was happy that I saved the company money and I was happy having a tool I could use right out of the box.I came to the conclusion Instapage and LeadPages are a toss up in terms of what each can deliver. I currently use LP along with a few other systems and I have no plans on ever leaving the LeadPages family. The system works great and we have made a tremendous amount of $ from their software and templates. Pros I have been using LeadPages since it began. In that time I've tried just about every other system out there and we continue to rely on LeadPages for rapid page creation. We find the existing templates have good conversion rates, are easy to set up and it takes virtually no time to go from idea to execution. Cons The ease of use does create some limitations. We find it hard to get pixel level control when we really need to tweak a design to fit in with other assets. This usually isn't a major problem though. Fields can be mapped from URL data for advanced connections Cons Having to place my google tracking codes in EVERY page is annoying. Also lacks multi-step forms which we find to be more effective when we need to collect more than 2-3 fields of data. Took them until last month to include the ability to search your image library (finally can but like, come on that's basic). Good analytics to track the performance of your landing or capture pages. You can use LeadPages to create different types of webpages (landing pages, sales pages, webinar registration pages, Thank You pages, etc.), as well as other assets such as signup forms and alert banners. The best part? You don't need to be a programming wizard to make it happen! LeadPages has plenty of templates you can load and quickly customize so that they fit your branding and the page end up looking and doing how you'd want it to look and do. Plus, it integrates with platforms like WordPress, which means that what you create on LeadPages can be easily added to your own website – and looks great on mobile devices too. Pros My favorite part about Leadpages is that it helps you get things up & running quickly. Leadpages has tons of ready-to-use templates which are geared toward online businesses. So, whether you are looking for Lead Generation Templates, Sales Pages, Thank You Pages, or even 404 pages; they have templates for all. This makes creating pages easier, as you kind of the base demo copy in the page template as well. Another thing I like is, that you can push UTM code data to your CRM integration (e.g. Keap) using field mapping when creating opt-in forms in Leadpages. They had all the good stuff that was hard to find elsewhere. But now competitors offer more or similar features for better prices. Personally I wouldn't choose them again, but would consider as an option. Pros Quick to set up with ready to go templates that were tested for high conversions. It has affiliate program, so you may be able to refer someone and have it pay for itself. Includes good tutorials and internet marketing knowledge. Cons Leadpages stayed behind competition. A few other apps offer much more now for less price. Monthly payments are disliked by me, the pricing could be more related to traffic numbers. People without really any knowledge about web development or landing pages could get one up and running within the first day/week of using this software. With the big template library you can surely find a landing page that fits your needs. Leadpages gets the job done quickly and easily. Best beginner landing page builder in my opinion. Cons The only con I really have for Leadpages is that you don't have that much design freedom. For a beginners and someone that aims to create a simple landing page this is awesome. But for more advanced users and page builders as myself I sometimes miss some features that make my design come to life. Have a WordPress site? use the plugin. Have another cloud platform? There's a good chance you can embed the HTML and have your pages show up over there (I know I do this successfully with Teachable). The page designs are frequently updated and they're not just old marketing designs, they're built for conversions but they always look fresh and next-gen. Cons The new drag and drop builder can get problem if you're building a big page like a sales page. Now that it is an integration, I use the feature 50 times a day between my accounts and client accounts. LeadDigits has been my long-time favorite feature. And we've used them for years. Until we found the design limitation and the focus on marketing look too limiting a factor. Because people don't want to be marketed to, but want to be informed about. with LeadPages all the landing pages look like a marketing collateral, and the changes are hard to make. and limited too. Making it almost impossible to have something that people actually want to read, watch or listen to. Instead of being forced by the same old FOMO tactics used by many, but not working anymore. Cons All the pages made with LeadPages look the same. You can spot on of theirs a mile away. Cons I have recently noticed that my account was charged for 444$ on 14th april 2023, but I never authorized or used your services since I signed up.I was not aware that the payment was set to automatically renew, and I was surprised to see the transaction today. Upon further investigation, I found out that the same amount was charged to my account last year without my knowledge.As a customer, I believe it is unfair to be charged for a service that I did not use or authorize. It's a solid tool, and much easier than coding a page from scratch! Pros If you are brand new to using landing pages, this is a very easy tool to use. You can create a landing page or pop-up box in a matter of minutes. Cons Honestly, I found it pretty impossible to customize my pages exactly how I wanted. The software isn't set up to enable customizing little details. You have to be okay with just building a page using the blocks they give you. If you need to do further customization, you have to call customer support, and although they are helpful, they don't really give you options for repeating something in the future. Mostly satisfied but can get stuck. Would be great if there was online tech help. Pros It's fairly intuitive platform to use, most of the time. You will run into needing help and the knowledge desk is very good at step by step guidance. Cons I can't understand why I don't have the capacity to edit the lead list. We'll use our own emails to test pages and then those leads are stuck on the list forever. I want the ability to edit that list as we grow. I've asked the company about this and they've never explained why they do this way.
