We finally found a software that we are happy with and that is moving in the positive direction to being a complete system that meets all our needs. Pros Noteables customer service is far and away the best I've experienced and is by far what I like best. They have taken countless hours to help us through issues and are always available to assist with any questions we have. The appearance is the main one. However, it will cost you money in lost patients and missed appointments because of the lack of effective calendar and scheduling services. It is not designed for a 30 patient a day provider. Ten to twelve will be optimal for an 8 hour day. Pros The field development and look of the output is superior. The ability to customize your input fields is excellent. Cons It is unusable for scheduling outpatient appointments. You will have to find another calendar service. There are no reminders. The portal is extremely primitive and is not usable for social service protected children, as an example. You will need an external system for transmitting HIPAA protected documents regularly. It requires the recipient have and disclose a cell phone. It does not have the ability to code add-on codes easily. The extra steps are extremely time consuming. Whoever designed the interface has never worked in an efficient outpatient setting. Customer support attempts to correct and help but really does not "get it" when describing needs. Names are sorted by first name with no option to sort by last name. The system does not know the difference between race and ethnicity, so every chart has errors. When there is one guardian for multiple children, each child has to have the guardian entered individually. When the phone number changes for the guardian, you will have to go in and change each individual child's chart. This will make an incredible excess of work for folks caring for foster care patients. The system has no built in system to handle middle names. It is very rare that I have difficulties with Noteable and often find it easy to be able to navigate. Pros Noteable makes it really easy to keep track of clients information and having everything that we need to access for them in one place. I love the reminders we get on things that are due and being able to keep track of important things. I also love the ability to look at clients who have been discharged and still having access to their records even if they are no longer active with the company. Cons Noteable sometimes has difficulties with virtual sessions and sending links to clients. Sometimes it is hard to navigate between documents for clients without noteable wanting you to submit things instead of being able to save them. Notable is reliable and affordable. Pros Prompt response from Customer support and even faster solutions. Notable is also very user friendly in general. Cons Inability to port client demographics and standard forms into newly created charts for different programs. For instance, if a client comes in for Community stabilization and an intake packet, goals, freedom of choice ( all of the initial information is obtained) if I go to add a Mental Health Skill building or IOP chart most of the information does not port over and needs to be entered a second time. What you accomplish in a day is only shown by how much you have learned and who you have talked to. Cons I think the 1-10 staff pricing is a bit too high, but sensibly manageable when resources are allocated appropriately. We appreciate their exceptional support and knowledge as our agency navigates this system and learns the best way to utilize it. During COVID 19 pandemic, Noteable instituted a telehealth system. Noteable was instrumental during this pandemic time with telehealth which supported our staff maintain confidentiality in healthcare and remaining in compliance with the state and federal statutes. It has been a lifesaver for us! Pros Noteable team does a wonderful job with training, providing immediate support, listening, and implementing recommendations. We were able to integrate this system based on the services we provide with ease. Cons Most of the applications that are in the Noteable system are easy to use. The difficulties we experience are when our staff makes an error and the system blocks us from completing progress notes. However, this is an agency issue and not Noteable's. When we address these issues with them, they were quick to respond to help us resolve these concerns immediately to allow us to provide our continuity of care to our mental health consumers. This allowed our agency to cross-train our staff and use one system where they can use to document support for all individuals serve.
