Off the back of the skills assessment, I declined to offer roles to 5 candidates who reached the final stages due to very low scores in certain areas important to their role (excel, working with data, communication etc). Undoubtedly, saved me time and money recruiting people below the standard I required. Really useful tool. Pros I needed to recruit a high volume of sales people within a start-up business and needed an 'off the shelf' assessment to test skills further. It was super easy to use, building the assessments was intuitive, and I liked the fact I could add my logo and brand colors, and the assessment looked like it came from our company. Awesome! Pros I love that I can set up tests to really deep dive test them in the skill they say they are good at. I also love the video questions at the end... it saves me so much time interviewing because I can preframe. Cons I wish you could add 1 more test and it would be nice to be able to see what questions they got wrong so I know what areas to focus training on. You also can't take the test yourself without using a credit... it would be really nice to see how hard the tests are. There isn't a way to do that. There are certain things not mentioned in the small print. Whether you pay monthly or annually they hold you to a year commitment and don't break it down until its too late. Its very user friendly. Also you can easily create a test. Cons If users fail to do a test because of bugs or downtime there is no live support. It takes them 24-48 hours to respond to problems. Its been a helpful tool and additive to our talent evaluation process. Pros Lots of tests to choose from when building your assessment, tests are challenging and get at the inherent skillsets we are looking for (e.g. solving problems under duress) Cons Wish it was easier to "trial" tests to see what the questions are look (I realize there are 2 sample questions for each assessment), kind of a pain to clone assessments after the expire every 6- days. Pros We receive many applications these days of people that don't customize their resume cover letter or haven't even read the job description.
