Pros During my professional practice as a Marketing Executive Intern for Hackett & Hackett International Group Limited, I had the opportunity to operate CreateStudio. This tool stands out for being intuitive and easy to use thanks to its drag-and-drop interface. Another benefit is the ability to create videos quickly using the available templates, scenes, and characters. Moreover, I find this software impressive with its 3D animation and unique artificial intelligence features. Moreover, I enjoyed using this tool due to the possibility to rely on a wide range of characters and templates. In addition, it offers a good choice of branding options, including font, colour, logo, and other customisations. Cons However, my experience suggests that this software is not perfect, as it has some significant drawbacks, including a significant learning curve related to complex options and features. In addition, it can be challenging to operate CreateStudio when advanced editing, colour correcting, adding effects, and other post-production activities are needed. Furthermore, the tool can consume system resources when working with 3D characters and animation. Moreover, some features may only be available in the paid version, which can be costly. While performance can dip on larger projects, communication has become less transparent since the takeover, and the extra costs for assets and AI features are worth considering, the platform still delivers excellent results and is genuinely enjoyable to use. It’s a great choice for creators who want speed, simplicity, and professional-looking output without a steep learning curve. Pros I’ve been using CreateStudio for years, even before Banzai took it over, and it has consistently stood out as by far the easiest video editor and animation software on the market. The learning curve is remarkably gentle, so I was able to start creating polished videos quickly without spending hours figuring out the interface. I also really liked how intuitive the workflow feels, which makes it easy to move from idea to finished project with very little friction. For anyone who wants to produce professional-looking content without getting bogged down in technical complexity, that’s a huge advantage. Cons The biggest drawback is that large projects can slow things down quite a bit. Rendering final videos sometimes takes longer than expected, and processing edits can occasionally feel sluggish when projects become more complex. Since the takeover by Banzai, communication from the development team has also noticeably decreased, which used to be one of the strongest positives of the platform. I also think it’s important to be transparent about the pricing structure: the base software is useful on its own, but access to the extensive asset catalog requires a subscription, and AI features require credits. It’s become part of my content stack. I’m getting good views, actual leads, and I’m not burning hours trying to edit. I don’t need fancy transitions or Hollywood polish (which is provided should I need it and have less demanding deadlines of an hour from the boss) — I need videos that get watched and understood. CS4 delivers that. Pros It’s fast, easy to use, and doesn’t get in your way. I can go from concept to finished video in under an hour — even animated stuff — without hiring a team or opening five other apps. The asset library is huge, and everything runs smoothly even on an average laptop. Most tools either look dated or try too hard. This one just works. Cons Would be nice to have more UI customization or the option to save workspaces for different types of projects. Also, version control or better auto-save would help. When I have a problem and I send an e-mail, they respond within 10 minutes and solve my problem immediately. Their team is very valuable. You don't need to be a professional to use this program. A person who understands a little computer and is willing can do great things using this program. The team has already prepared great videos on how to use the program with youtube videos. Cons I don't have much trouble with the program, but after I make a video, it takes a while for the video to be ready. This may be related to my computer being slow. The Tutorials are amazing from support and other users. Pros I love the ease of using this software, it has everything you need and so much more. I love that I can do work on other software and bring it into CreateStudio to complete what I'm look for that the other program may lack. Cons I can't say that there is anything I really dislike about this program, but a few more 3D characters would make it PERFECT! Pros You finally find a software that doesn't cost you that much amount of money to do the work of a 3D animator in a few minutes, from creating characters to animating their movement even their lips, you can create 3D informative videos for your business without a high knowledge on video editing, and can even do basic video editing, and dragging and dropping any animation in the library. and rendering takes literally no time, like at all. Cons Nothing to dislike, but one for the notes, i wish they added more templates to use from, it would have saved me tons of times. and sometimes the timeline gets cluttered. However, I keep another video creation software open to have access to basic features like cropping. It is overall a fun software to use, but I continue to have moments of feeling surprised that certain features are ones I do not have access to as a lifetime member or that certain features simply do not exist. Pros Non-human characters and Text to Speech with modifying options make this one of the only animation softwares with drag and drop character animations with the possiblity of child-friendly animated cartoon characters. Direct access to media hosting websites saves your data storage and allows for inspired additions to your projects in the moment. Cons Unless you are paying gor their highest level of membership access to the media library including characters and project templates is limited to about 10% of their content. I've already recommended it a handful of times. It cuts the time it takes to make a video (especially if it has lots of animated elements) in half. And sometimes more than that. I can make a 30-second animated text promo in maybe 30 minutes. Pros The animation presets, the media library, the huge variety of pre-made animated elements like icons and characters, the text overlays and text animation presets, and the ease of use. Cons Most of the transitions available don't really fit with videos made for a very professional corporation. They feature lots of emojis and fun animations but it's not quite clean and serious enough for some internal corporate communications. These templates are nicely configurable, and they generally allow you to use either horizontal OR vertical orientations, which is very useful in the age of TicTok and Instagram, et al. Cons As a professional motion picture and television editor there are just features like 3-point editing, and matching back to footage and proper bin management that are simply lacking. Pros CreateStudio covers a full spectrum of needs in the video marketing arena and it just keeps getting better with each new update. Whether you use their templates or create your own animated videos from scratch, the characters, the graphics, the transitions and effects, and so much more are top shelf and easy to use. If you run into a problem or cannot figure how to do something within the application, they have a boat load of "How To" videos on YouTube and other users are available on the Facebook page to assist you. These are the things I like most:The outstanding support from the company. Nearly all my questions and requests are answered in an few hours, even on weekends.The great choice of animations you have for videos, images and texts.The large number of assets you get with the basic versionThe possibility to import, edit and export videos with transparent background in MOV and WEBM format.The masking and track matte options.The possibility to work with SVG images.The possibility to group objects on the timeline to animate them together.The possibility save scenes to use them in other projects.The one-click transition feature.The Doodle and Color Replace features.And last but not least the ongoing development and improvement of the software with at least one major update per month. Cons For me there are 3 cons to mention with CreateStudio Pro:You must have an internet connection to work with the software.The time it takes to render a video, especially for larger projects, can be long.Without the optional All Access Pass, you can't share or exchange self-created templates with other users, even if you only use the assets of the basic version.
