### "I am loving GEM!"

April 12, 2022

5.0

I have really enjoyed Gem and would highly recommend that you try it out! You can also create a dashboard of analytics on projects you create and on positions linked to your ATS which can really help to paint a picture for hiring teams.

Pros

My favorite thing about Gem is that it integrates with my ATS system as well as LinkedIn Recruiter. I am able to see if my colleagues have added a potential candidate to a project or reached out to them. Reaching out to the same candidates provides a bad experience. Gem uses personal email addresses which adds a personal touch when reaching out. I also love the fact that I can set up dates/times for messages to go out, 5 and 6 days after each message. This feature is customizable and the analytics prove that candidates will respond even on the third try. With Gem, you don't have to worry about anything, your email sequences are scheduled once you send out your first message. It's a wonderful tool that has helped me find great passive candidates for my roles.

Cons

I would say there are many times where the email address is incorrect or is no longer in use. My solution to that is to send an introductory message through LinkedIn (only once) and then send the full sequence in Gem that way you are hitting both sides in case the individual does not have an email.

### "Gem beautifully automates so much of sourcing outreaches and reporting with graphs"

September 7, 2022

5.0

Pros

Categorizing prospects into projects, automatic detection of whether they replied to outreaches, the sequence/outreach automation is great, the data analytics seem helpful too though I haven't spent much time on it.

Cons

I had to troubleshoot with tech support about correctly counting prospects as converted to candidates since at first it wasn't doing that for all candidates that were in our ATS, but it seems to have self-corrected or been corrected by support. I'd make it a little easier to add notes about candidates and make them visible on the project columns, and also make a way to manually mark as converted to candidate on the ATS (maybe by linking on the ATS) if it doesn't automatically detect. Also I'm not sure why I sometimes have to manually add in a prospects info when adding to Gem from Linkedin, but if that could be better automated that could save time and make sourcing less burdensome.

### "Greatest prospect outreach tool! "

May 23, 2022

5.0

Since really diving into Gem back in September of 2021, I've found this to be such a great tool to use. The support we get from \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] as well, is certainly very, WHITE GLOVE! I love everything Gem is and how impactful it's been in my day to day work.

Pros

Some of the most helpful features for me when using Gem, is the data and analytics it provides. It's impressive how it can break down analytics based on stages in sequences, projects, and also gives you freedom to build custom reports, as needed (per recruiter, per job, timeline basis, etc).

Cons

One of the things I wish Gem did contain was the 'interested/not interested/reach out later' options in the project view. It has it in the sequence view, but not for projects. I find that this would be very helpful as sometimes there is a lot of people in a project that don't necessarily get added to a sequence as Gem was unable to populate an email for them; if that's the case, then I typically proceed to send this person an inMail or a connection request on LinkedIn along with a message. It would be good if we can track their responses in the project view as well to also see how many people IN TOTAL are responding, not responding, etc.

### "Gem the key to my workflow"

June 29, 2020

5.0

I love what Gem has meant to my productivity. I honestly don't understand it when people tell me they don't get it. I couldn't imagine doing my job without it. I would seriously consider quitting or finding another role within the company if Plaid ever told me they were nixing Gem.

Pros

When I switched over to Gem 3 years ago, It eliminated about 3 additional tools from my process, thusly saving me time and brain power. I no longer have to leave a linkedIn profile to source and recruit effectively. The product also now has a very robust and powerful search function within their app that allows me to not even have to use LinkedIn for several days at a time. I can stay within gem.com and create custom automated messages that I know will sync well with my ATS for ease of mind in data integrity.

Cons

The design, both within the app and the widget, can be a bit "cumbersome;" however, I know that they have made some recent hires in that area and I have already seen some great improvements.

### "Friendly platform that makes recruitment processes easier and faster!"

January 9, 2023

5.0

it's a great product for recruitment duties, easy to learn and use.

Pros

The two features that I like the most about Gem is the automation of the email campaign that save a lot of time in terms of candidate contact and the reports I can download to track team performance. Is very easy to read, understand and really helpful for our recruitment duties.

Cons

There's no way to share a project with my external clients, as an agency is a big deal cause I have to add the candidates to other document/platform to share with external stakeholder.

### "You need this, trust me. "

May 6, 2022

5.0

A+++++++ \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] is the best, he listened to a lot of my feedback early on and really valued my ideas. The engineers are awesome. Early on we had a few technical problems and they would always act quick and fix things fast even if that involved coming to our company office. Customer Service / Support is amazing. They always get back to me really fast and always have a solution that will fix my problem. I love their blogs, articles, open houses, recruiter meetups, and all the other events that they are always hosting. They offer so much it's just incredible.

Pros

I've been sourcing for 22 years and I always prayed / hoped / wished there was a tool that would make my life easier. Gem is that tool. It's fast - you can upload a candidate from Linkedin, throw it in a project folder, throw it in a prospect req in GH, find a personal email address, write a personalized email and have it go into an automated followup sequence that will follow up for the rest of time if you want it to. And I can do all that in about 30 seconds. It's amazing. I can see who is opening my email, who is clicking on my links, who is replying, and who is interested. I can send emails as my boss with his real email address. I can see all my metrics and monitor my conversation rates. For candidates that never replied in the past, I can easily through them into a new sequence and continue reaching out. Its an amazing tool!

Cons

I've been begging \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] to build an ATS but he won't do it. :(

### "Organized and User Friendly!"

June 10, 2022

5.0

My company uses gem to reach out to candidates for recruiting purposes. Because of the sequence set up, we can automatically schedule and send multiple emails in hopes of getting a response. It is nicely organized by sequence and project and shows clean data at the top to show how successful your sequences are.

Pros

For someone not super tech savvy, this was very user-friendly and well organized. It's extremely helpful in collaborating with my team and keeping track of our candidates and their status.

Cons

We are moving from Google to Outlook, and in the middle of this integration some of our sequences are not being stopped when a candidate responds, unless we log into Gem separately to mark them as replied.

### "My workflow is much better now!"

April 4, 2023

5.0

I love the ability to schedule emails/texts/inmails. I don't have to copy paste templates and manually type the special parts in. I just add the parts to my "Reason" or extras, and it's put in for me! I also really enjoy the ability to text candidates without having to copy summaries into my ATS.

Pros

I LOVE the texting feature! It integrates with Greenhouse, so I can easily text candidates and it's automatically recorded in Greenhouse. I also love sequences and the ease of putting candidates into GEM and sending them personalized messages with little effort!

Cons

The extension sometimes struggles when you have a lot of tabs up, so I had to reduce my tab usage in order for it to function properly.

### "Gem is legit"

April 7, 2022

5.0

Gem has made it incredibly easy to schedule multiple tailored messages to candidates and easily keep track of their responses. It allows me to share candidates and notes with hiring teams.

Pros

I use the projects and sequences daily. They are an incredibly powerful way to coordinate outreach across myself and my hiring team. They are a force multiplier in terms of our outreach. Also the ability to visualize our talent pipeline is incredible.

Cons

I honestly don't have complaints about it. I know that sounds made up. There are features I haven't used much, like prospecting, but it does most of the things I want from it seamlessly.

### "Great CRM and great insights!"

March 7, 2022

4.0

I love it. It eases my work flow as a sourcing recruiter, I've had many positive candidate experiences that came from the automated follow-ups. It's simple to change up sequences and track the success of various campaigns.

Pros

Easy for follow ups, tracking candidates, tracking metrics (including gender).

Cons

The UI could be a bit more pretty and modern if I had to say something.

### "Gem is a great tool to ease up the recruiting process, specially for sourcers!"

November 15, 2021

5.0

It's been great. This is the first tool I've used in this industry and it was so easy to learn that it says a lot about the tool itself. For someone with zero experience to learn it this quick, it is a well developed piece of software that I'd recommend to anyone.

Pros

It's too easy to use and it helps me achieve all of my daily goals and therefore become a better sourcer. Helping my employer find the best candidates in the market.

Cons

The fact that I'm unable to send mass Inmails as we do with emails.

### "Gem is a great tool for active outreach!"

June 13, 2022

4.0

Great! I would recommend it.

Pros

Gem is great for sourcers and recruiters that want to excel with active sourcing and sending messages to cold candidates via email or Linkedin. It helps you create message templates, and sequences so it's really great to have scheduled follow-ups.

Cons

I think it still has to get better in the integration with LinkedIn for sending messages since this can't be automated.

### "I saw immediate success with Gem"

January 3, 2023

5.0

I made 2 hires immediately through Gem, and I was able to engage with candidates through Gem that had ignored my LinkedIn messages previously. All in all - a fabulous tool that I will recommend to anyone.

Pros

I loved the ability to build out my email sequences. I saw a major improvement in candidate responses vs messaging through LinkedIn. The extension is very easy to use on LinkedIn as well as through my email. I also loved the data provided on candidates opening emails, clicking links, etc - it provided me with the ability to reengage at later dates.

Cons

I do not use the interview/offer etc features, so not sure if that would be helpful. This integrated well with our ATS

### "Gem for recruiters "

Pros

I really like that Gem makes it easy to track my outreach stats and pipeline.

Cons

I wish that you were able to send LinkedIn messages directly through gem rather than setting sequences for LI messages and having to go back and send manually. It feels clunky at this stage still.
