We used mostly for notification emails and their API is very robust. Also design and UX are great. Cons Until they cut off their free plan a few weeks ago, I couldn't see any cons with this software. We were in the middle of an email campaign - our first mailing with this company - and all of a sudden we couldn't access our account. Mailing was stopped about 2/3rd's the way through. Our "Reputation" meter on the mailing last checked at 97%. So we were puzzled as to why were locked out. Maybe a malfunction of some sort. Nope. This is what they do when they decide you have violated their rules. They will not tell you what you did. Just lock you out. No number to call, don't respond to emails except days later when support said we violated their rules but support says they don't know what rules. Pros mail program was decent and easy to use. The APIs provided by sendgrid can be integrated on your platform smoothly and they also maintain account's reputation to ensure no spamming. Cons Sendgrid should offer wider range of plans so that everybody can choose plans according to their needs. We have a problem with a listbombing - they simole closed our account without any support or help. Very long answers on tickets (we are waiting for 24 hours for each answer). May 9, 2018 5.0 Pros It performs its function precisely and does it well. I've only ever had a few issues with the platform, but I consider those issues to be standard in an SMTP environment. The flexibility of the whole setup of being able to switch SMTP providers at a given point without tearing up or moving an entire CRM makes this a great starting place. It's much more user friendly than most any other SMTP provider and it absolutely gets the job done. Cons I don't love it when compared to the pricing structures of some other platforms, but there are few that do their job with so little user work necessary on the front end. The most important function they have is to safeguard our contact list. They failed miserably. Pros Sendgrid Lost half my database and will not offer any suggestions as to why. I have asked for escalation of this issue but they refuse to do so. Cons Customer support was absolutely unwilling to assistant in resolving a massive loss of contacts. I also suggest this service to everyone who is sercing for an affordable option. Pros This service has excellent prices, I'm using the free version and I have 40000 free mail + 300 mail a day to use. I'm using it to send emails with a small e-commerce and i think that I'm going to stick with the free version. Cons When I had to start using the service I encountered some problems during the start guide. it was not so clear where to had their record and i had to ask help to my hosting service support. Pros If you need to send a lot of emails, SendGrid is pretty good acting as the actual "engine" to get it done. Cons Just about any features found in current email marketing software are absent in SendGrid. They really missed the boat by not investing in the development of new features. Now they are so far behind that you pretty much have to use an integration with another actual dedicated email marketing platform. This is expensive and a hassle. Therefore we have started to use this tool. Pros One of the advantages of this product is the ease of customizing and creating campaigns that allow me to promote my clients. In addition to making sure that I will not be blacklisted by mass mailings.
