After signing up as a new business customer as part of a new marketing strategy my business implemented, SendGrid immediately suspended my account for no reason (after taking my personal information), and an agent then proceeded to tell me some magical 'vetting' system determined I wasn't eligible to use their service.After asking how an earth they could 'vet' me considering they haven't even obtained anything about my business they proceeded to tell me they can't tell me why and that their decision was final.Appalling service, I genuinely have no idea how these people even have customers to begin with if one can't even sign up.... Pros Absolutely nothing, couldn't even sign up... Cons Everything, because they discriminate on who signs up to them, and give no explanation for suspending your account after taking your personal information. Some of them uses sendgrid and others uses salesforce. We're trying to centralize the notifications (not only emails, sms and push notifications as well). In my current team, our services uses sendgrid and we're comfortable with it. Sometimes we had some issues with people unsubscribing themselves by mistake but it's something that does not depend on the service, but the people. Pros Ruby integration is easy. Activity tracking. Subscription management. Email campaigns are good but honestly I didn't use it so much. Cons Seaching by emails sent is limited to 3 / 7 days depending on your plan. The constraint is so hard and sometimes we needed to check older emails and we couldn't. IMHO, 30 days would be much better. Review Source SZ Sinisa Z. The APIs, templates, automation, and analytics all work great, wrapped in an easy-to-navigate user interface. June 18, 2020 1.0 As I mentioned, my account was hacked, and it's been 7 days and counting since I emailed them, created a new account and submitted a ticket, contacted their parent company Twilio, messaged the Facebook page, left comments on their Facebook posts, and contacted a sales representative. I've exhausted every avenue I know of, and they still can't be bothered to answer me, yet they're still allowing the person that hacked my account to run it and I'm getting charged on my credit card. Hands down, their support system and staff are the most uncaring, inept people I've ever tried to contact. I'm currently trying to move all my 3rd party systems to MailGun - they answer tickets inside of 24 hours. Pros I used to like how easy it was to use, until I was unable to access my account because it was hacked and support can't be bothered to answer my requests. They're still charging my credit card though. Cons Their support staff is inept and not capable of answering tickets. Reason for choosing SendGrid It was ease of use and deliverabiilty. Cons There have been a few times I have had to reconfigure my Send Grid Plugin to my site. I feel like there is a disconnect between the servers IP and the response from my WordPress site. Pros It works. They give you a lot of flexibility and a good API. I believe the offer the most user-friendly email delivery solution for developers. Cons It's not cheap. The basic account gives you a lot and cost about $15 USD per month. They even offer a small package for free. But if you are expecting a private IP and 100,000 or more emails sent per month, prepare to spend at least $100 USD monthly. Thousands of emails are sent daily and we rarely have issues. When we do, it's a unique situation. Cons Occasionally, SendGrid goes down with no notification to us. So we suddenly have hundreds of emails being returned or erroring out and have to chase the problem. Awesome, no maintenance nothing :-) Pros After installing a server in the google cloud, we found that you may not send email directly from the machine. They offered SendGrid, which allowed me to easily setup my mailserver to send email via their platform. This service gives you have all the options, send from your domain, using DKIM, using SPF and more, even you can track your messages if they were opened with a pixel kind of solution. Never I had an email not arrived, not send nor rejected with the proper plan for my one man business. You can also use it for marketing, only I never used this, but if you are looking for a reliable solution SendGrid is there to send your email. Cons In the version that you may only send up to 10.000 emails per month, kind of free version, you are using a pool of ip-adresses which are sometimes listed on a bl, but then simply contact the support to tell them about it, they will fix it for you! Be sure you setup DKIM and the other techniques in the proper way and you can enjoy there service nicely. Cons There are some aspects of the service that you would assume should be included in your subscription, but you are required to pay for them (a-la-carte style) if you want to use them. Pros I'm most interested about this application is that it grants users to use email facility even as a free user. It is only up to a certain extent but enough for a small startup to keep its email needs full-filled. Email configuration can be done without much effort. Cons There were times that emails were not delivered. But the actual reason behind that was the email quota was reached. But took some time to figure it out. September 7, 2020 3.0 Works fine until it doesn't. I would search for a provider with better customer support. Pros It has a good set of features, not many competitors covers all the functions provided by SendGrid Cons The customer supports is very bad. It was quite much better before it was bought by Twilio. When you have problems with their platform suddenly stop working (we stop getting emails for 2FA, pass reset, etc in a few days and delivery rate dropped below 20%). Their support was not responsive and their only option was to pay for more dedicate ips, increase or cost by x6....and only for sending a few emails per day. This helps me to analyze and change our stratergy accordinlgy. - High-grade deliverability, scalability, and reliability Cons \- Documentation is poor, lots of issues on GitHub repo. - Little expensive as compared to other competitors - Customer support is not good, I had a technical issue and I mailed them regarding the issue. Sendgrid sends me all the details including the e-mail of the customer in order for me to just reply to that e-mail with a quote. Pros Very easy to implement into an existing website. I have a website with Wix.com. They provide all the necessary coding for automated mails after any trigger. Cons Once it just stopped sending e-mails. I had to make another Key and change the code.
