My experience with Sendgrid has always been good, there are no problems with their shipping system, their builder is great and their API integrates with many other tools.

Pros

It has always been a fundamental tool for the development of email campaigns. It has been a reference against other companies.

Cons

Possibly the price is a determining factor. Today there are many competitive tools that can cope. In general, there are no complaints.

Pros

1- SendGrid provides customizable email templates. 2- SendGrid offers robust API support, which makes it easy for developers to integrate email sending into applications. 3- SendGrid has 24/7 customer support, including chat, email, and phone support for premium users.

Cons

1- Sometimes customer support response times can be slower.

When an E-Commerce Manager, it is important that order confirmations be actually received by our buyers. I have this to drive our store emails of transactions. It is a horse to work with in regard to deliverability yet it is extremely tough to get technical assistance.

Pros

Their flexibility in terms of dynamism in email templates is superb and we can depend on them to provide our retail customers with order receipts and shipping updates using a very reliable service.

Cons

The pricing levels are not worth the money because our e-commerce traffic is at its peak, and customer service is painfully slow when we have urgent account problems or some data management failures.

My experience has been ok but not great. I’ve run into bugs that the support team hasn’t been able to help with and often feel limited by the automation capabilities.

Pros

Sending individual email campaigns is simple and their design editor is easy to use as a non technical user.

Cons

Their email automations aren’t very dynamic and aren’t easy to edit after they are set to live, it’s especially frustrating you can’t edit time between emails once an automation is live.

Sendgrid is so seamless that if we have send one mail or a million its always reliable and send all mails seamlessly.

Cons

Free Plan have strict limit for number of mail you can send, that make difficult for upgrade without testing it proper.

Integrated directly (and was recommended) by Replit for a vibe coded project. Replit was requested to send email and it guided me to sending up a Sendgrid account which was nice and easy.

Pros

A really complete product but with a super simple interface. I needed it for transactional email and I'd say it's deliverability is better than anything I've seen before in terms of reliability.

Cons

An extremely minor point but if I had to find a con from my experience so far it would be that navigating the custom domain settings requires a bit of knowledge and research. Personal scenario, if you know what you're doing you'll do fine. Easy enough to muddle your way through.

SendGrid does what it says on the tin. It is easy to set up and use. The APIs are well documented, making the developer experience a good one. Detailed reporting and high deliverability give a sense of comfort that SendGrid works as advertised.

Pros

SendGrid is everything you need and expect - it is reliable, scalable and powerful. Via well documented APIs, nice reporting, and a generous free tier, getting started and maintaining flow is painless and easy.

Cons

While there are generous free and lower tiers, the pricing jumps between tiers can be significant. While there is automation, it is limited compared to the competition.

My account was hacked and the hacker blocked my IP address. It took SendGrid support 3 day to get back to me. I still don't have access to my account.

Pros

Seems like a robust email delivery service. N upfront cost. I can start with our free plan and try the full suite of features at my own pace.

Cons

Terrible customer support. They do not have a contact number or online ticket system. Response by email is very slow.

By far is the best tool we've used for transactional emails, and the last couple years it has done a good job for email marketing. They have very strict policies against cold email, which keeps deliverability high.

Pros

It is very easy to use and deploy. The API is very well documented and the email marketing features can easily be used by non-developers without writing a single line of code. They have a very nice no-code email builder, but it also allows to do it in HTML for more technically inclined users.

Cons

Though it is a great platform for transactional email, the Email Marketing tools are charged extra. SendGrid is only really good if you get a dedicated IP, which is absent for the cheaper tiers.

Sendgrid lives up to its reputation as a market leader for email. Be it marketing, authentication and transactional emails. It provides a plethora of options and functionality that meet most business needs.

Pros

The fact I use sendgrid for transactional emails says a lot. The api intergration is a breeze, as are all of its parameters available. The email monitor tools as well as the disposable email detection have proven particularly useful. Third party intergration is easy with the likes of Firebase, FaunaDB and node cloud functions.

Cons

There isn't any particular thing I have a disliking for in all honesty.

As long as you don't have an issue and need CS their tech works great and have a good value proposition. When I can find another company with a similar value proposition and even decent customer service I will switch.

Pros

They present a good value and a dependable product

Cons

Customer service is terrible. It used to be pretty good. They have made getting service more difficult, and when you use the chat they try to redirect you away. So when you chat you get in a queue and they text you when you are next. I get a text go to the chat and it says >1 Minute. I stay on for 3-5 minutes no one is there, I go back to what I am doing and when I go back the chat closed. Do it all over again, and this time within a minute someone gets on. I message 7 times my question and issue, 10 minutes go by before I get an answer. The whole process is terrible and purposefully by design treats their paying customer like trash. You don't matter, your time doesn't matter, and in fact you are an idiot for not figuring out the issue on your own. Even when my question/issue was something ONLY they can do. I do not have the ability to increase subusers, only they do. I wish I could say that this is a SendGrid issue, almost every business has rearranged their CS to serve employees, which usually is at the expense of those who pay to make the whole operation work.

It gives free trial packages for life, 100 emails per day, and it has an SMTP feature that can be linked with a programEmails can be tracked and Follow Up can be doneAnd accurate analyzes through development. There are many advantages, and it is possible to make an html form to put it on a landing page or your site to put people in a mailing list for a fee.

Yet countries in the world are banned in this company.

Overall, I would select SendGrid over many of it's competitors. It is simple to use, quick, and best of all the delivery rate is way higher than other platforms that I have used.

Pros

SendGrid is incredibly simple to use. Its ease in usability makes working with team members who are not as tech savvy, incredibly helpful. This lets more folks take on the initiative to use the platform, over having one person who really knows how to use it.

Cons

The contact limit. When downloading large contact sizes, you have to be really careful about doubling up on contacts, or erasing the file but not the contacts which has been confusing for me

SendGrid is overall a robust platform and we have never faced any downtime or high failure rate on SendGrid.

Pros

The best part of SendGrid is its option of adding contacts directly with CSV files and easy integration with MoEngage. The pricing is also affordable for high volume email-sending and transactional communication.

Cons

The promotional plans of SendGrid are priced much on the higher side. Moreover, customisation of Unsubscribe option is not available, for instance we wanted to add a Unsubscribe footer with images and GIFs as a standard for emails but that was not available.

Sendgrid is great with delivering emails and is undisputed in transactional emails . Use it for its top notch deliverability, reporting and analytics as no other application even comes close to it in these areas but as a total email marketing platform; it lacks behind as it has very few campaign automation features, it is difficult to get used to and has a poor customer support. It is also slightly more expensive than others and falls in the middle of the lineup in terms of pricing.

Pros

Deliverability, reporting and analytics and email validation are the areas where sendgrid is at the top. It even tells you if the email ids you are sending emails to are active or are misspelled or are disposable. It has excellent reporting features and lets you know the emails which bounced, got opened or got unsubscribed. Its email editor is good wherein you can edit existing templates using drag and drop features and you can also use tags for sending personalised emails.

Cons

Campaign automation, segmentation of contact lists are severe drawbacks of this application. There is hardly anything you can automate in terms of automating your campaigns or automating when to send emails on certain action points.

Pros

The highlights of this platform for me have been its impressive ability to integrate seamlessly with other platforms and its intuitive interface that makes it easy to handle emails at scale. But I also really liked the ease of initial configuration that allowed me to launch our campaigns quickly, thus optimizing our response times to the market.

Cons

It is important to mention that at specific times I have experienced some delays in the response of technical support. However, these incidents have been minor and do not affect my overall perception of the platform.

The detailed stats from each email campaign is amazing, and the Unsubscribe groups option really helped with GDPR compliance

1\. On the bottom left side of the dashboard is a small reputation percentage bar, that measures your reputation. The bar is updated daily based on your email sends, your reputation goes down if your email bounces or is marked as spam. 2. Stats: SendGrid provides A LOT of data on the performance of your email campaigns, these stats are: Requests, Delivered, Opens, Unique Opens, Clicks, Unique Clicks, Unsubscribes, Spam Reports, Bounces, Blocks, Bounce Drops, Spam Report Drops, Unsubscribe Drops and Invalid Emails. SendGrid also provides stats such as: Global Stats, Category Stats, Category Comparison, Subuser Stats, Subuser Comparison, Geographical, Email Clients & Devices, Mailbox Provider Stats, Mailbox Provider Comparison, Browser Stats, and Browser Comparison 3. A/B Testing 4. Unsubscribe Groups: This is without doubt my favorite feature from SendGrid. When you click on "Marketing" on the left side of your dashboard, and select tour from the drop down, it sort of lists steps to set up for sending marketing emails. Step 3 on the list of things to do is to create unsubscribe groups. Here you can Create groups that represent types of email that you regularly send to your recipients. If a recipient chooses to unsubscribe, they will have the option of selecting which of these groups they want to unsubscribe from.

Cons

1\. The Email templates in SendGrids gallery are a bit basic which initially wasn't a problem as I liked creating my own template, but I did not like how I couldn't modify the "columns" module to my taste. I wanted to create a template with three columns with the center column bigger than the two on the side. The idea was to have my client's images linking to their projects (On their websites) on the side columns, with the write up in the center column. However, that couldn't be done (At least so far it seems so as I can't find any option to tweak the size/width of each column) as each column has an equal width. 2. No automation function: I'd like to create a sort of If/Then sequence where I can resend an email to a group of people after x days, for example, I'd like to resend an email (With a different heading of course) to people who have not opened the first email after four days.
