February 4, 2021 5.0 SAMCART has revolutionized my sales page capabilities esp for upselling my product. And I really looking forward to integrating something they call "order bumps" into my online course salespage. The sales page layout and elements are attractive and intuitive to use and make the customer's purchasing experience simple and elegant. I have to put an additional plug in here for \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\], a customer service rep that really went above and beyond in helping me. We did an onboarding call and she helped solve a laundry list of questions and helped me troubleshoot beautifully. She is humorous, light-hearted and incredibly good at her job. She had other things that helped me besides just in SAMCART too, and that extra care really makes a difference. Especially when I was going cross-eyed with all the tech learning to launch my new online group coaching course! Thanks, \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\]! Pros I greatly appreciate what this product has brought into my company as far as efficiency and maximizing profitability. But I have to say that what I like most about this product i the top-notch Customer Service. I have worked directly with 3 different customer service reps and all have been professional, efficient, incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and just really help their company's product sing. SAMCART has so many useful elements and they are constantly improving. One of the best tech product/services I've bought as a business owner. Cons I can't quite figure out how to us the product in test mode to try it out before publishing. But I'm pretty sure that 's just user error and that I will learn that on my next check in call! I was left on my own to teach myself how to create my own course through the training videos. The training videos are complicated there long and difficult to stay focused with. Additionally, unless you know how to videotape yourself this is a complete waste of money, As it has been for me. This product is not for newbies as they assured me that it was. Pros I don’t. I have tried for almost a year to get through the training videos that teach me about creating my course. However, unless you are good with videotaping yourself, you will be lost as I was. They tell you that it only takes 14 days to create this course but it takes you longer than that to get through the training videos on how to do this all. It’s very complicated it is absolutely not simple and if you don’t know what you’re doing you’re going to get lost like I have. On top of that I purchased this believing it was a one time fee to create my course and when I couldn’t make anything work I chalked it off to a bad $300 wasted. However now they Want to charge me $349 to re-up for another year! I was under the impression it was only a one time fee and now I am trying to get my money refunded which is becoming extremely difficult. I decided to do a buyer beware review to as many sites as I could to let people know if you don’t know how to create a course, do not purchase their course builder. You will be completely lost as I have been. Cons Unless you know how to create a course you were not going to know how to do this. The videos assume that you know how to write what you need to write and you know how to create a video! They market to people who are new to this by saying how easy it is that you can do in 14 days. That is a scam! Unless you have 10 hours a day for those 14 days to go through all the training videos create your written content and then create all the videos you have to make that is an impossible task. I was able to start earning five figures a month within weeks of joining, and their tech support helped smooth out any bumps (I had zero tech and almost no marketing experience before joining SamCart). I feel like I owe them so much more than their highly affordable annual fee for helping my business grow exponentially so quickly! Pros The ease of building the pages and the quality of the pages is exceptional. I particularly like the Testimonials section. Strong customer support and seamless payment processing. Cons I want it to integrate with every other product ever made, but I guess some software companies are not yet on board the SamCart train so for now Zapier is a bridge to some platforms (2000 of them) that are not directly integrated yet. August 26, 2020 5.0 SamCart has a built-in affiliate plan you get access for (to create your own affiliate program), but for the small amount of affiliates I have and that even practiced my affiliate program, it just wasn't worth $199/month for me. If they had a sales page builder included, then $199/month would make sense for me. Or, if retrying failed payments was included in the $99/month plan, that would make sense. Podia's checkout process may not be as robust, but they cover all the rest at a fraction of the price. Pros You can't get a better checkout page than what you'll build with Samcart! Truly. I really loved the various templates included in their plan and the fact that you can brand your checkout pages. The testimonials you can add to checkout pages and the quick summaries of what the customer is receiving is awesome too. Cons At the time of my using them, there were two plan options. You had to do the higher $199/month plan in order for them to retry failed payments. I felt that to be unfair and should be a standard part of their plans. I was paying the higher $199/month plan just for that feature... but most of the time, customer payments were cleared. Pros I loved the drag and drop design functionality which allowed me to design beautiful sales pages and opt-ins. Cons Sometimes it was a little annoying when in the middle of designing something would trigger some type of refresh and I would lose the work that I had just done and would need to start again. But that could have been because it was still in the early days of their updated design (just fresh out of beta). Reason for choosing SamCart At the time, SamCart had a great offer which I took advantage of. I had to make and executive decision and choose something simpler because as they say 'time is money' and in this case, I was absolutely losing money trying to make Infusionsoft work for us. Pros Setting up my subscription products in SamCart was so easy and has earned me thousands each month. Their sales page design templates made creating the sales page simple. I can create new products, coupon codes, and offers easily and integrate with my email marketing platform. For example, I use Teachable and you can collect payments on their platform. Also, I use convert kit and they have a way for you to collect payments via email. However, I still think that Samcart is superior to these other platforms. There check out pages are like sales pages also and they allow you to include a testimonial and a money back guarantee and a overview of what the customer is paying for so there’s this one page check out experience that I think has definitely increased my conversions overtime . In addition to this, the back end management of Samcart is so user-friendly and there are so many custom ways that you can work to help people adjust their payment plans if they need to it is really an excellent platform. Pros I have been using Samcart for more than five years and it’s just gotten better over time. They have beautiful drag & drop templates that allow you to build your pages with little to no design skill. It’s also really easy to make multiple pages by saving a template and then reloading it every time that you create a new product. I find that a lot of times with new software there’s a steep learning curve in setting it up and with Samcart you almost don’t need to go through any training because you can just figure it out as you go. Cons I don’t really have any complaints nor do I think there’s anything that is missing. It integrates with all of my software, they have excellent customer service & they continue to improve overtime. They provide exactly what they are stating and it’s an excellent tool. Cons I can't justify the $49/month lowest pricing tier with limited features (no order bump, post-purchase upsells or multiple payment options), especially if you're just starting out. And the support person I had went the extra mile in every way, from providing valuable feedback on salespage design, to reaching out to her PayPal rep to have a feature turned on in my account - all without me doing a thing. True customer care. Cons It is definitely more complex and time consuming than their marketing makes it seem. Could you get a page published in 5-10mins? Yes. IF you already have other things setup and in place. And, if you don't care about design or sales conversions. It's not as cut and dry as it seems. But, the value is still there. This product literally changed the way I did business and I could never have done what I needed to do without it. Applications that are simpler and that are not so critical for the support of a company offer chat support. It is very very frustrating to work everything by EMAIL, because there is a significant delay between what you want to do and what actually happens. It has been a very bad experience for as a new customer. At this point, I can't tell you if the solution works or not because I haven't been able to move forward. I have encountered problems that I have not been able to solve and do not allow me to move forward. The Idea that they sell you in the webinars and marketing stuff is great, however, you have a learning curve, which I wouldn't mind. But the support they give you to make things happen is very slow.
