Founder Consumer Electronics Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Streamlined Interface with Excellent Customer Support" June 21, 2021 5.0 It's nice to be able to experiment with adding this board as a feature to an existing site centered around niche talent. I wouldn't have started a business based around a niche job board, but with how simple and fast Niceboard is to use and setup, it makes for a low-resource burning experiment. Time/energy are my most scarce resources and this package didn't eat up too much of either. If you're already running some form of community, I'd recommend temporarily adding Niceboard on to test out! It's a low-risk experiment with potentially high rewards. Pros I really loved how simplified the sw is from the administrator's side. I've been working with a lot of other software meant to be add-on, customer-facing services that have been maddeningly convoluted to launch, so the ease of set-up with Niceboard was a dramatic difference! The front end is clean and simple, and the appearance is professional. I have no qualms about charging for ads based on how it all looks. The newsletter feature and the easy Stripe integration were wonderful to see, too! I haven't yet made a sale, so I can't comment on transactions themselves, but the setup was a snap. I had issues setting up this board under a subdomain, but only because I'm an idiot - not due to any fault of Niceboard. The customer support I received included more patience than I deserved. ;-) And the responses were fast and intelligent, too. Really happy with the support. It's all running beautifully at \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] now! Cons There are a few extra features I'd like to see. However, without them, this board still offers great value. I'd like to be able to price different kinds of postings differently. For example, I want to encourage temporary, freelance postings by offering them at a lower price than fulltime permanent. As it stands, I have the "featured" ad as one price meant for one job type, and the regular ad at a different price meant for a different job type. But a visitor could potentially use one for the other purpose, which means I have to manually police the board. The coupons I'm told are a new feature, so they have basic functionality. (And that's great!) But in the future, I'd love to see some more controls with this part, too. One could be the option to make a coupon good for a 1-time use, or a limited number of uses. Founder Online Media Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Don't be fooled by the modest name, Niceboard is fantastic" April 16, 2023 5.0 The business model for our website centres around paid job ads (which is why Niceboard points to our primary domain instead of a "jobs." subdomain). We are still in the process of building our community so we have not yet turned on billing, but we've already benefited from the included functionality like API integrations, job backfill, and blog. Pros Niceboard is extremely easy to configure. I set up our board in a single afternoon and then continued refining it over the next few days. This allowed us to focus on our core service and target community instead of the technical implementation. And the result looks slick and professional. The included blog and private board API are also indispensable. Cons I would have loved to see the private board API included in the Essential or even Pro plan. That said, the Business plan is still of great value considering the potential ROI.Less importantly, the Niceboard app on Zapier didn't work out of the box, which would have saved me some integration time. Founder Medical Devices Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "The Perfect Solution for A Streamlined, Elegant, and Effective Job Board at a Reasonable Price" November 9, 2020 5.0 I was looking to add a reliable, self-serve job board to my community website as a value-add to my members and was discouraged to find that most were either too expensive for my use case and/or were overloaded with features I didn't need or looked crowded and unsophisticated. I looked into having one built but that was going to take time and attention that I really didn't have for something that was not my main member benefit so I was pretty thrilled to discover NiceBoard. It was exactly what I was looking for - a ready made job board that looked nice and that I could have running out of the box, with my own domain, within an hour. Pros Niceboard's strongest benefits are that it's super easy to set up, intuitive for job seekers and job posters, elegant in design, and effective and reliable at a good price point. The developer is extremely responsive and the customer support is fantastic. I'm not really sure what more you could want! Cons Elegant and streamlined, this job board is purpose built and doesn't have a ton of extra bells and whistles. I think that's a good thing but others might want more integrations or built-in customization options. As is, you can customize some aspects easily, including custom domain and if you're so inclined you can customize more with code. Pros I found it to be a very useful tool to implement at work due to its multiple functions of use that facilitate a faster and more professional selection process, grouping all the information in the same system and being able to have everything clearer and at hand Cons The only drawback I've had since using this tool is when I make the monthly payment, the system is too slow to process the payment and a bit confusing, but it's something that requires patience and availability of time to finish the process correctly. Pros Niceboard is very flexible in terms of setup, categories, types, locations and searching. The simplicity of no client or candidate login is awesome and overcomes many of the problems associated with running a job board. It's a very well designed system that provides good flexibility without complexity. Cons The full functionality of system maybe limited compared to some products, although it does provide a lot of flexibility for anyone wanting to make the most of it. Once our board was set up to our liking and handed over to the team that would use it, maintenance has been very straightforward on my part. Pros Really easy to set up. Very customisable, pretty much any text across the whole job board can be changed to suit your needs/locality. Our tier has an API which works well and we are making more and more use of it. Probably the largest benefit I have noticed is that the customer support has been second to none, they are always very quick to respond, very helpful, and accommodating to my questions (mostly about feature requests - we have not encountered many bugs). Cons We looked into using the Niceboard-Zapier integration, but this did not include as much functionality as the API, so we have switched to using the API now which meant putting a couple more developers on our project. It would be good to see the Zapier functionality expanded in future. The fields on the 'apply' form can be customised to an extent, but some can only be hidden via custom CSS. It would be good to have toggles on these fields to choose whether to display them or not, but I am sure that will come with time. Review Source CD Craig D. Cons My only negative comment is that I would like a feature that allows me to insert more of my company's branding onto the homepage. But this is something unique to me and the audience I am trying to attract (won't be a negative for everyone). (Also, there is no pre-built job board software that offers this feature anyway). They have responded extremely quickly and been very helpful. Pros We had seriously considered building a custom job board before finding Niceboard. That's a huge task by the time you consider Stripe integration, email subscriptions, back-filling job listings, etc. Out of the box Niceboard has all the features we would have spent weeks building and testing, now we can focus on the sales and marketing side of building a job board. Cons At the end of the day there are going to be design and UX limitations of any no-code site builder. That can be tweaked by injecting CSS in Cloudflare and Niceboard does even offer an API, though I haven't had a chance to try it out yet.
