Our clinic enjoys the ease of use and the variety of products we have access to. It helps to keep our inventory costs lower and to pass along savings to our clients. The staff is always extremely helpful and professional to our clients and our clinic staff as well. Pros We enjoy the variety of prescription, OTC and compounded items we can get. I like that the pharmacists are attentive and always call to verify an issue. The customer service both for our clients and our clinic is always stellar. Pros It has come a long way. Pros Avimark integration works seamlessly to avoid having to note what was done at a third party pharmacy. Cons Customer service is hard to reach and spotty at best. Shipping delays are not relayed to clients. When a client pays for 2-3 day expedited shipping there is no clarity that it will still take 5 days to prepare the item for the 2-3 day shipping clock to start. Review Source CR Cristina R. Helps that it automatically transcribes everything into Avimark. Also love the help client feature. But it is a nice alternative to clients looking for a convenient home delivery. Pros Integrates with avimark and new site allows to re-prescribe something rather then making a new one. Pros I love how you can add automatic labels/instructions for medications. It's very easy to put in a Rx for a client. It is far easier to write a script and send it to clients. We have had a large increase in the amount of clients that are using our online store rather than a third party. No regrets that we switched to Covetrus vRxPro! Pros How easy the website is to use for staff and for clients. Cons I think with this program still being newer, it needs a few kinks worked out. Sometimes I must refresh the page and repeat something I have already done due to error messages. It is by far more easy to navigate than the other vet sponsored pharmacy Vetsource. Pros I really love the chat with rep feature when it is available. The option to make notes on pending order approvals has been a lifesaver since we have several members all approving simultaneously! Cons Sometimes we have glitches and lag time, but that has improved greatly from the previous platform prior to the upgrade. We also would love to have information rewrite back to our Ezyvet software for better record keeping. We also have to send reports monthly of our new clients to manually add in to our database. The promotional emails are not all sent to everyone, so some clients will not receive the coupon emails and call us to help them. The shortages/issues with compounds over the last year have been a struggle also, but the pharmaceutical laws changing isnt anyone's fault. Review Source DB Deena B. When I have had to call in all reps have been super helpful and friendly!!! Pros Has gotten alot better in the last year. More user friendly Cons when first came out it was AWEFULLLLLLL!!!!!!!! I do wish there was better communication between Covetrus and the compounding pharmacy. I like that we can place orders for compounded medications through Covetrus. It seems like there is a breakdown in communication when a product is not available or is on backorder. I would like to be kept in the loop along with the client about their pet's medications. We are the ones they will call in frustration when a medication is not available. Pros We like to give our clients a safe alternative for their pet's online pharmacy needs. With so many other pharmacies popping up, we know we can trust Covetrus. The software integrates into our veterinary software and we can see all of the prescriptions that are sent to our patients. Cons I do wish there was a way to combine duplicate accounts. Often times, a client will have multiple accounts in error because the spouse originally signed up, email addresses change, forgot they had an account already, or just sign up for another account because they are unable to recover previous log in information. Reason for choosing Covetrus vRxPro At the time, Covetrus was the only one that would integrate with Cornerstone software. I understand there are other companies to choose from now. Lead Receptionist Veterinary Used the software for: 2+ years ### "My thoughs on Covetrus" February 14, 2023 4.0 Covetrus and the customer service are wonderful Pros I love that clients are assured that the products are legitimate and do not have to worry that they are getting fraudulent medications. It is easy to navigate for us in clinic and for clients. I like that we can help clients with their accounts if needed. Cons I do not like that we can not change/update the doctor on prescription requests before approving/declining. There are often times were a client will choose the wrong doctor when requesting medication and then that doctor will not know the request is for them. It can get confusing. It would also be nice if auto-ship prescription requests were a different color. Like when a client has a product on autoship and we have declined it every month for 4 months. It would be nice to know if it were on autoship or if the owner really is asking for it every month. If we could catch it at the beginning we would waste less time on researching if the prescription can be approved.
