Overall our experience is good. Support staff can answer questions and help sort out any issues. Hopefully, price comparison with other pharmacies is being monitored. We still have more RX requests from chewy than our own website.

Pros

Convenience for owner. Ease of prescribing meds online. Good to have control vs refilling with fax.

Cons

When RX is filled for whatever reason, we usually don't have a good way to follow up to make sure owner gets meds. For example, if there is a problem filling RX, we don't know until owner calls and ask where delivery is. Then we have to find out problem. I do believe we have lost some clients to Chewy for this reason. Pricing could also be more competitive.

We have been using the online pharmacy with Covetrus for years. Our clinic enjoys the ease of use and the variety of products we have access to. It helps to keep our inventory costs lower and to pass along savings to our clients. The staff is always extremely helpful and professional to our clients and our clinic staff as well.

Pros

We enjoy the variety of prescription, OTC and compounded items we can get. I like that the pharmacists are attentive and always call to verify an issue. The customer service both for our clients and our clinic is always stellar.

Cons

Every DVM needs to give permissions to each user.

I have had about 20% of my clients have an issue in one manner or another when we send prescriptions through the system. usually this is on the compounding side.

Pros

Avimark integration works seamlessly to avoid having to note what was done at a third party pharmacy.

Cons

Customer service is hard to reach and spotty at best. Shipping delays are not relayed to clients. When a client pays for 2-3 day expedited shipping there is no clarity that it will still take 5 days to prepare the item for the 2-3 day shipping clock to start.

It is a bit confusing when you go to the linked page if you didn't do so prior to approving/declining.

It’s ok with minimal support when challenges arise. But it is a nice alternative to clients looking for a convenient home delivery.

Pros

Integrates with avimark and new site allows to re-prescribe something rather then making a new one.

Cons

It is difficult to add clients/patients. It doesn’t always find current established clients.

Great! vRxPro works really well for us at our practice.

Pros

I love how you can add automatic labels/instructions for medications. It's very easy to put in a Rx for a client. Clients also seem to enjoy the autoship feature and not having to come in clinic for medication/products.

Cons

I cannot think of any issues we had with vRxPro.

I find the reports hard to read. I wish it was easier to see we improved this percentage from month to month. I wish it was quicker to get meds or food we want to dispense on there. It seems to take forever.

Can approve & transcribe rx's for clients with ease :) We are loving all the upgrades to the platform and appreciate our feedback being taken into consideration. It is by far more easy to navigate than the other vet sponsored pharmacy Vetsource.

Pros

I really love the chat with rep feature when it is available. The option to make notes on pending order approvals has been a lifesaver since we have several members all approving simultaneously!

Cons

Sometimes we have glitches and lag time, but that has improved greatly from the previous platform prior to the upgrade. We also would love to have information rewrite back to our Ezyvet software for better record keeping. We also have to send reports monthly of our new clients to manually add in to our database. The promotional emails are not all sent to everyone, so some clients will not receive the coupon emails and call us to help them. The shortages/issues with compounds over the last year have been a struggle also, but the pharmaceutical laws changing isnt anyone's fault.

Overall, we have found that while it's nice to have our own pharmacy it tends to create more work with either having to call the client or Coetrus regularly to sort out the concerns listed above. I am praying that the software update resolves a lot of these concerns.

Pros

Having Covetrus has made handling prescirptions easier to some extend beacuse our clients can work directly through us and we can aprove presciprtions faster than through any other pharmacy. It is easy to see what is in stock, and view the client/patient medication history. That being said, there are a lot of features that make things much harder than they should be for both our clients and the practice, so I find myself frustrated regularly with the software.

Cons

1\. Clients have a hard time viewing recommended prescriptions/authorized refills. They regularly submit new requests when they already have medication approved in their account, which slows everything down.2. They also are confused when a request is declined, even though the email says there is an approved product waiting in their account. I think in this case, they aren't reading, which is on them, but perhaps that notification could be worded better.3. Autoship seems to have a mind of its own, or the clients are doing really weird things. Clients regularly end up with a surplus of meds due to the timing of the auto-shipments (even with controlled substances- I'm not even sure how that's possible).4. I don't like how you can't alter a script after it has been authorized. You have to archive and create a new script if there is a mistake.5. Allowing the client to choose by the bottle or by the pill throws things off because they either have a surplus or a shortage of medication. If they submit for a by-the-bottle quantity, we usually have to decline and remind them that there is a script waiting for the correct amount. Then they go to order and may make the same mistake again, slowing down the process further. 6. Secondary authorizations for controlled substances. I support this but some medications go through Roadrunner and they wait for the client to order before authorizing. This causes duplicate work.7. Chewy and Petmeds are cheaper so we lose clients to them.

### "Expensive but a real time saver"

When we had a technical issue, they were right on it. Good customer service overall. They have also refunded clients when they have made an error without a big process. Also a plus!

Pros

This software integrates into our PIMS, and that part is probably the very best selling feature. It's a HUGE time saver for staff. When a prescription is approved and sent thru the software it will automatically update the client and patient accounts. So you aren't retyping information!

Cons

It's expensive. We make almost no profit on our online sales. Maybe 8% is our actual margin. But, it cuts down on clinic traffic, it frees up our phone lines and our staff. We look at it as a "client service" not an income stream - and that helps. Also - if you have a pet that has passed on, for some reason the integration does NOT happen, and you have to manually go and close out the prescription or the client will get recontacted if they are on autoship or reminders! Important for sensitive situations to know this.
