### "Improve Your Events with AES"

We have worked with AES since 2013 and we have been extremely satisfied with their product and their personalized customer service. The first year we transitioned from paper bidding to electronic bidding for our gala auction, we saw a 44% increase in revenue from the silent and live auctions and paddle raise. Our registration and check-out processes ran much smoother having everything electronic. The services provided are worth every penny and we would never go back to the way we used to operate! Not only is the experience better for our guests, but it makes our lives so much easier.

Pros

There are many features I love about the AES software, but the best component has to be the top-notch service we receive from their event managers, \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\]. They are always quick to respond, even though they work on multiple events at once. They have provided guidance on many topics and given recommendations for auctioneers, which has resulted in higher revenue for us. And, they are always present at our events ensuring everything runs smoothly. The AES software is very user friendly and our guests have enjoyed accessing the auction via their phones or the tablets provided by AES. The ability to send text messages to our guests throughout the event with announcements is a major plus. The behind the scenes set up is extremely easy as well. Having access to Auction Conductor allows us to customize everything ourselves and make real time updates quickly. AES is constantly evolving and introducing new tools to enhance the customer and guest experience, which I greatly appreciate. I am thankful they had an online platform we could use when we were forced to move our events from in-person to virtual. The functionality of their event registration site is so much better than the internal platform we use normally, and it easily syncs with Raiser's Edge. I also love the event analysis reports we receive immediately following the close of our events. These reports are useful tools as we develop plan for the future.

Cons

When we first began working with AES, they did not the ability to notify guests with a text when they had been outbid. While that was a bit disappointing, we still used their services and did not receive any complaints for our event attendees. Over the years, AES has added new features and enhanced their capabilities. They can now send out many types of messages to event attendees. I cannot think of anything else we would need at this point.

Reason for choosing AES Software Suite

We decided to work with AES for multiple reasons. Their price was much more reasonable for the services offered than the other companies we considered and we were extremely impressed with our sales rep, during our in-person introductory meeting. He answered all of our questions, showed us a detailed tutorial on how the software worked and made us feel very comfortable. Working with AES was the best decision we ever made!

### "Lawrence Hall AES Software Experience"

Lawrence Hall uses AES Software suites about 6 months out of the year for our yearly major event. The software is easy to use for our our donors of all ages from purchases tickets, sponsorships, raffle tickets, or adding names to their guest list. We have had many compliments on the way communications are sent out and the ease of being able to self check-in. I myself appreciate the flexibility of generating post-event reports and especially the helpfulness of the administrators who not only respond promptly to any issue but also offer training when new software products are added or updated.

Pros

The product was easy to learn and very easy to use. I am the database specialist for my organization and have worked with different CRM software's. AES Software Suite offers a lot of automatic tracking, electronic transferring, and relationship management needed for non-profit events. The system's ability to update the microsite instantaneously is a bonus as it cuts back having to do entry in two different systems. And now as we have moved to a virtual event, being able to encompass the purchasing of tickets, early auction previewing, and viewing the actual event all under one hub makes the crossover from live to virtual much easier.

Cons

The Auction Conductor has met our needs time and time again, which is why we continue to use them for our event fundraising software.

### "VERY VERY EXPENSIVE PLATFORM"

We are a nonprofit corporation generating close to $3M/year in annual donations. The AES platform is nice but they drastically overcharge to process payments.

Pros

The platform is user-friendly and provides features we use regularly.

Cons

The fees they charge to process donations are among the highest we have ever seen. They force you to use their payments processor.....3.9% plus $0.25.

### "Wonderful software and great customer service"

Pros

The interface is easy to use and navigate. We like that we can have different users who can log into the system so committee members can work on the auction when they need to. The customer service is some of the best we have ever experienced. From setting up your auction, at the event and after, the AES team was very professional and helpful. They are able to help us with any issue we are experiencing and also give suggestions on what they have seen work at other client events. Their team at the event is very helpful and will work with our event attendees to assist is any issues they are having. Event wrap up is very seamless with the AES team they are there to help run reports and show us how to make custom reports.

Cons

We wish we could have multiple pictures of the auction item.

Always enjoy working with the AES Texas team!

Pros

Overall the ease of use of the platform.

Cons

I would love to see a more modern & clean look on the front end of the auction software. The backend of the system works pretty well, but it'd be great to have more capabilities when it comes to photos via size of image and capability to add multiple pictures. I'd also like to see a more robust capability on the front end of the event website platform. Definitely need to include more social media link capabilities, currently system is missing IG.

Reason for choosing AES Software Suite

The back-end of the system is fairly easy to use and navigate, more than other systems. Especially when it comes to having to constantly make changes leading up to an event. Other systems require everything to be entered once with few changes or issues when you do try to make changes.

We love working with \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] and the crew at AES - their customer service is top notch. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] helped us through our first virtual event and he did a fabulous job guiding us through our first virtual experience.

Pros

Once we learned how to use it, I liked the way we were able to display our silent auction items. It was fairly easy to use and the customer support was great.

Cons

Some of the details seem complicated to non-technical people but once it is explained i.e. how to send out a mass text message or email, etc. it was a little easier. We also had a pretty major glitch during our virtual event - the scrolling donor roll didn't happen. It was our first virtual event so we expect most of the issues to be resolved.

Pros

Ease of use for our auction and streamlines our ability to close out and our event and get information into our donor database. I like have the info immediately after the event so we know how we did.

Cons

This year we need to figure out how to make this a covid friendly way to do our events and how to stream like the live events. Need to figure out how to announce names of people giving during the auction, so others are encouraged to give during the live event. This is really important duing 2020.

Seemed like a better fit for us.

Very happy. Great product, customer service, and professional event employees.

Pros

I find it’s pretty easy to use, and when I have questions about the software, I always receive a prompt reply and thorough explanation. I think users ( bidders, donors, etc) find it easy to use as well.

Cons

After not using it for awhile, sometimes it’s tricky to remember where to start when building a page. The titles of some sections/ tabs are somewhat misleading, but, again, I’ve always received help when needed.

Our overall experience has been great. AES has been available for training and support and has been really attentive to our content and what our site looks like before we launch and event.

Pros

The Categories and ability to publish or unpublish items.

Cons

Loading pictures always seems a bit time consuming because each files has to be so small. It would be awesome if loaded a picture if the software gave you an option within the site to resize it automatically. Kind of like iphones do when you go to email a picture.
