Pros Full Microsoft Word compatibility and everything can be created without requiring code. A 20-minute process now takes less than a minute. Cons At the moment, every user requires an Aerofiler account, so there’s no feature yet to support contract generation from public users. We love working with a company that puts a lot of effort into both customer service and product. The search functionality is the best that I’ve ever seen, and it’s great to know that there’s room for us to grow into more of the feature set as our requirements evolve. Cons The innovative grid approach allows us to generate a report on any piece of contract data, but it would be helpful to have more reports out of the box. Something as simple as an NDA would require scrolling through many pages, managing the execution process via email, and then manually filing the contracts in a shared drive. Aerofiler can automate the entire process, including auto-populating expiry dates into a contracts calendar. I can also easily generate reminder reports to send to various stakeholders in the business. Cons Their browser-based technology is not 100% compatible with every Microsoft Word feature (but even Microsoft doesn’t yet have full Word compatibility in the browser). The repository helps keep us organized and able to track things like renewal dates without having to fill out endless forms to input metadata. Aerofiler auto detects metadata but even where we need to manually enter it, the interface makes it so easy. Setup was a breeze, and migrating the hundreds of documents we were previously storing in Box literally took a single drag and drop action, and a few minutes for the files to upload. Aerofiler started as a contract repository, which is what we bought them for. However, they have since added support for managing other phases of the contract lifecycle, like contract generation, approvals and signing, which was a nice bonus. Very happy with this software. Cons The accuracy of the AI that's used for metadata detection could use improvement - it's pretty accurate for some fields, but not so much for others. Search bar functionality could be improved. Also, we didn't have any way to easily track things in documents that we wanted visibility over. Pros \- Incredibly simple issuing of new contracts via workflows - saves me 30 mins every time I've got something to sign! - Library view & filtering of document types makes it easy to summarise current contracts - Existing documents are easily searchable - Extremely secure (ISO 27001 certification) - Zapier integration on the way! We use it mainly for contract tasks such as managing due dates and payments, tracking contract data, and generating routine documents. Cons It would be nice to be able to upload PowerPoint slides.
