Ich arbeite gerne mit BSCW Social, da ich viele wichtige Tools (gleichzeitiges Arbeiten mit Online Office, Videokonferenzen, Chats, Kalender) für die Arbeit in einer Plattform beisammen finde.

Pros

Die Benutzeroberfläche, das responsive Design sowie die übersichtlich und einfachgehaltenen Menüs. Das selbe gilt für die mobile Ansicht.

Cons

Die Rollenverteilungen können bei großen Organisationen komplex werden und sind in der Mitgliederansicht nicht immer einfach verständlich.

BSCW Social ist ein ausgereichtes System zur Zusammenarbeit in Teams beliebiger Größen. Es erlaubt die Selbstorganisation von Dokumenten, Aufgaben, Chats, beliebige Metadaten, eine übergreifende Suche, und bietet viele zusätzliche Funktionen die je nach Organisationsbedarf ab- oder angeschaltet werden können. Der Datenschutz ist mit dem System einfach einzuhalten. Die Lizenzen sind relativ günstig und mehr Nutzer können leicht hinzugefügt werden.

Pros

Die Selbstverwaltung der Arbeitsbereiche erleichtert die schnelle Zusammenarbeit in Ad-Hoc-Teams. Das umfangreiche und bei Bedarf feingliederige Rechtemanagement erlaubt auch die einfache Zusammenarbeit mit externen Partnern, ohne die Übersicht zu verlieren. Besonders hilfreich sind die gute Dokumentenvorschau für einschlägige Dateiformate sowie die breite Browserkompatibilität. Ein relativ kleiner Server reicht aus um auch tausende Benutzer gleichzeitig zu handhaben, was die Kosten niedrig hält. Die Serverlizenz kann grundsätzlich lokal installiert werden, so dass keine externe Cloud mit Datenschutzproblemen verwendet werden muss, sondern stets die Kontrolle und DSGVO-konforme Datenspeicherung gesichert ist.

Cons

Der große und sehr breite Funktionsumfang kann auf Administratorseite fast beliebig konfiguriert werden. Wenn man zwei oder drei der Systeme bei unterschiedlichen externen Partnern parallel benutzt, können jeweils andere Funktionen ab- oder zugeschaltet sein. Durch die sehr vielen Funktionen kann es gerade für neue und seltene Nutzer schwierig sein den Überblick zu behalten.
