### "Therabyte has changed my practice in the best possible ways!"

Therabyte has changed my life! It has improved every single efficiency that I struggled with in the past as a therapist. My chart notes, my billing, my calendar - everything in one place! This has been one of the best investments in my private practice, and I can't imagine my life without it!

Pros

Using Therabyte has helped me to finally make the shift from paper notes, files and reports to going fully digital... plus instead of using six different products for each task I needed to do, I found everything I needed in Therabyte!

Cons

As with any new system, it took me a little while to learn all the parts to improve my efficiency, but there is great customer support that was always there to help me figure things out!

### "A very reliable one-stop-shop that I couldn't live without."

I've only ever used Therabyte to manage my practice, but that must say a lot in itself! I've never been tempted or driven to try out any other EMR. Therabyte has always served every need that I have had. I understood right from the start that Therabyte was being built out and developed in real-time - just as my practice was too. So there are inherently some bumps in the road. But I love that Therabyte has a "face" (the developers are real people that I have access to) and I can make suggestions to improve somethings, and that feedback is heard (and acted on, when it is possible or makes sense within the systems). Overall very, very pleased with the support I receive through Therabyte. At the head of a company is the CEO and the next most important player is the online practice management system. The way Therabyte works reflects on the reputation of my practice. If I didn't love it, I wouldn't use it.

Pros

I love that Therabyte is a "one stop shop" for managing my practice. I love that clients can book online, that I can house all of my documentation in one spot (securely - and I can rest easy knowing the security is up to Canadian health information protection standards), and that I can process all of my invoices in one place. I love that I can create my own forms and publish them electronically. I also really appreciate the speed and helpfulness of the support team. Any time I've run into a glitch or needed some guidance to use features properly, the team was quick to answer my questions and provide me with helpful solutions.

Cons

I wish there was a waitlist option with automatic messaging for when I receive a cancellation and want to offer it out to be filled. I also wish some of the forms were easier to manage. I sometimes find the form builders a little frustrating to use (formatting gets messy, fields are hard to organize). My clients often run into issues with the client portal. I admittedly don't use the client portal as a client, so I'm not sure of the exact issues and how they look/function, but the client portal could be improved for ease of use. (I wish clients could access a summary of invoices on their own or be able to see when they have an outstanding invoice).

Reason for choosing Therabyte

Jane's user fees are quite expensive. And I felt a pull toward supporting and putting my faith in a company with a face - real individuals working to provide a service for their peers. I felt the creators of Therabyte would understand best the need for privacy and security measures with Canadian standards and knowing the platform was developed by a pediatric OT made me feel very confident that it would provide me with exactly what I needed, because she "gets it".

### "Good but could be better"

inconsistent response time on issues and updates don't seem to be for issues we have but I'm sure they work for some practices. I do like that everything is in one place for staff and clients.

Pros

sending email reminders to clients and client access to notes

Cons

You cannot customize Therabyte to your practice very well and the scheduler and client profile are not linked - you cannot click on an appointment to get to the client profile or go from the client profile to their appointment. It would be nice to have different colours on the scheduler for times that staff are not working, as it is now those times look the same as other appointments.

### "Amazing customer support backing a solid EMR system!"

Therabyte offers a solid organizational system to house documentation & files securely and invoice customers as well. I look forward to being part of the ways the system continues to grow and improve as they always seem to be adding new components along the way.

Pros

Very helpful customer service, quickly responsive to any issues I’ve had and willing to incorporate customer feedback into product growth. Also, I like the branch goal organization approach which simplifies my documentation.

Cons

TB pay (credit card processor for client billing) has given me struggles, and I’m still hopeful to eventually sort out a complete super bill option as several components are lacking (customer support is on it!). Therabyte has taken me a while to set up and learn. I’m grateful that with each bump in my learning curve, support has responded quickly to help me.

### "I wish I had made the switch sooner"

\[sensitive content hidden\] and staff have been amazing to work with. If I have a question they always find the answer for me and the system is constantly coming out with new features to make my life easier.

Pros

I like that therabyte has everything in one place: Scheduling, billing, documentation. I like that it tracks my contract hours.

Cons

It took a bit of time to set up my client database but therabyte staff (VA) was able to speed this process up for me.

Amazing. After I had been using Therabyte for little while, they reached out and I had a meeting where I was able to ask questions and I made a couple of suggestions and I felt like my thoughts were really valued and appreciated. It was really nice to know that they are actually there to help and care about my experience. I have emailed a couple of times with quick questions and have always received a quick response that fully answered my question!

Pros

I am a speech pathologist and see alot of kids. I love the plan section where I can make notes on what I want to work on, add websites (that are clickable), etc. for my next session so I am planned and ready to go. I can select the goal I am targeting and track my data right there. I also love the way they do treatment plans. They are flexible to meet the goals/objectives I have for each client and are easy to set up and track. I also love the reports that I can print so I can quickly and easily see the client's percentages and any special notes, this is so helpful when writing progress reports. After using a few other systems, I really like the ease of adding a session to the calendar and I love the three marks on the top of the session it shows me their attendance by color and then if I have started the note and if it is signed so I know which ones are done and which I need to work on. I am virtual so being able to bill through Therabyte has been so helpful and is very easy to do!

Cons

The only con I can think of is that you can't bill insurance. I am cash pay so this is not a huge con for me right now. I do believe they are looking at adding this feature so this might be a short lived con!

My overall experience with therabyte has been very good. I have seen how much it’s evolved over the years. Especially, it has been helpful to use the virtual features for my mental health occupational therapy practice. Thank you!

Pros

What I like most about theabyte is the fact that it is the only EMR that integrates travel billing into the session notes. I have not found another one that does that out. Also, I like that I’m able to share homework and resources at the click of a button which I use all the time.

Cons

The thing I like, least about Therabyte is that there is no ability for myself nor a client to add the Therabyte appointment automatically into their calendars. Although they do receive the email reminder and the ability to copy a link to Google Calendar or iCal manually, it isn’t the same. Other EMR‘s like Jane app gives the option of seamless auto integration of appointments into their smart phone calendars and I use this all the time when I make appointments for myself with other healthcare practitioners.

Pros

Therabyte is easy to use, with prompt customer service and all the features I need in an EMR. As an OT, I find the workflow fits perfectly with my practice needs.

None so far, I have been using it since last year and I'm loving it!

### "Saving Grace of EMR's!"

Therabyte helped me to go from 20 minutes of documentation pains, clicks, and struggles, to a mere 5 minutes per day. It automates my appointment reminders and I can also see who has an invoiced and unpaid item all in one place so I can stay on top of that.

Pros

It saves me SO much time, keeps all my clinic information in one place, and helps me increase my professionalism through the appearance of my forms, billing, and appointment reminders! It has been a true saving grace!

Cons

the SMS appt reminder feature did not, and still does not work. I also wish therabyte had a payment due reminder feature. (If it does.. please tell me!)
