GOAT makes your life easier, and it will be well received by everyone in your organisation, especially your Board. Pros GOAT is very easy to use - I set it up myself within a day. It has the functions I need, and I am not paying for functions I don't need. The GOAT team support for me directly and through regular updates and subscriber meetings. The system is growing and improving all the time. My Board love the reports. It has made my risk management so much more efficient. Cons I don't have any cons right now - it does what I want, and I could not be more satisfied. As a bit of a beginner, there may be things I want, but the team have been more than willing to my needs and finding ways to meet them. September 3, 2026 5.0 The initial demonstration, negotiation and onboarding were all simple and easy - which adds a lot of value to a busy CFO. There are so many other providers with rigid infrastructure, fields which cannot be changed or renamed and GOAT allows for flexibility to personalise to our needs, without starting with a blank piece of paper - it has just the right level of must haves and customisation for us. Pros GOAT is a great platform. It is simple to use, intuitive and covers all bases for an SME to manage risk with easy to use and easy to follow data entry and results. Results can be exported in easy to read diagrams for board members. GOAT was our first move away from an excel-managed risk set-up and it has transformed how we track, control and mitigate risks, as well as how we report on them. Whilst we don't currently do this, you can add stakeholders as users to enable wider risk management and interaction and make this a focus or hub for all department leads. Cons Nothing jumps out as a 'least like'; the system is good value for money and works as expected. In time, I think AI tools could be introduced to support on some of the administrative tasks involved in using the software but, at the time of engaging with GOAT, the service provision and induction has been great. I have no issues at all, everything has been very easy to use. If I need support the team are always on hand. Pros Great, effective system. We had nothing in place for risk management, only a spreadsheet that we were finding difficult to keep on track of. From the second I made an enquiry the team have been nothing but helpful, it's clear how much they care about the company they have set up. It's a very easy system to use, and great value for money as that is what we need as a not for profit organisation. The reporting facility is also great. Cons There isn't anything I don't like. The only feedback I have had to provide is where there is a risk that has closed there is no facility to archive. August 10, 2022 5.0 I have found GOAT ti be a really useful tool that has allowed us to evolve from the old spreadsheet recording system. It makes the management, oversight and reporting of risks more collaborative and straight-forward. Pros The application has been very simple to implement within the company, and the support from \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] has been great. It is an intuitive product and our managers have been able to pick it up with minimal training. Having the ability to create and use custom fields has been useful for us. Cons Not being able to add our our titles to custom reports was disappointing, however I can completely understand the limitations following a chat with \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\]. We have found a workaround, which meets our requirements locally. We recommend that individual Profiles should ideally contain no more than 12-15 Risks, but appreciate that subscription costs increase in line with the number of Profiles being created! And the standard reports are really useful!Personally I like the "Trend and Executive Summary" part as this is what I use in my reporting to the board and owners. Support from the vendor is excellent. They respond very fast to any question or issues. Cons It does not include a archive function for closed risks. It is important to also have a overview of risks that is sorted/mitigated during and not at least in the end of a year. Has a sleek look with a simple drag and drop heatmap. Includes tutorials and tips for users and has great customer service too. Cons Does not include some of the advanced cyber protections and cyber integrations we would like. The report functions could be improved (formatting and layout wise). In turn, GOAT will help improve the risk culture and awareness of risk across service areas, especially where there are relationships and interdependencies. Pros I like that the software is intuitive and simple to use without over complicating the risk information which is needed from each risk owner. Cons Due to the fact we have to create multiple reports with multiple contributors with varying formats, the pdf reporting functionality doesn't suit our reporting processes. Having the ability to download the report into Microsoft word would allow us to better customise the risk report, dependant on the audience who is reviewing it. We need a platform to regularly assess, manage and monitor our Enterprise Risks and Incidents and GOAT is exactly the solution we were after. GOAT is industry-agnostic and could be utilised by a number of companies - I would highly recommend, especially if you do not require a fully integrated ERM/GRC system. Cons Certainly not a con, although the navigation of reporting is not quite as agile as I would like, however this is a very minor drawback.
