Shipbook Reviews
"Best tool for debugging mobile app issues"
Overall: Shipbook allows us to efficiently debug issues in production. It removes cycles of communication between customer success team and end customers. Allows us to detect and debug issues for end customers even before they realise there is a problem.
Pros: - Great set of features - Unbeatable price - Quick and efficient customer support - Easy integration - Stable SDK for Android and iOS platforms
Cons: - The UI is a bit simple - Sometimes is is required to look for the feature in the UI - Configuration is done via JSON files, sometimes it would have been easier to use UI for that
"Amazingly informative app's logging platform and a UI that can’t be beaten"
Overall: Shipbook is the best logging platform for iOS apps on the market. The logs are displayed in an extremely useful and convenient way that enables me to see user's logs in context, and retrieve the relevant logs of a specific issue in real-time.
Pros: Shipbook has an amazing UI, that is actually enjoyable to use. Logs are organized according to user session so developer can isolate all of the logs before and after a specific issue occurs and display all the information necessary for the most efficient issue/error solving. In fact, Shipbook provides an enormous amount of information, much more than my previous logging platform. For example, with Shipbook, I can even see logs organized according to recurrence so even before users complain, we can fix the important issues and keep up excellent user experience.
Cons: I had a few minor issues, but when I contacted Shipbook, they did everything they could to resolve them and ensure our complete satisfaction with the platform. The customer service is really great.
"Great Mobile Logging Platform for iOS q Android - Smarter Faster More Efficient"
Overall: Whereas crashlytics catches only crashes in your app shipbook helps us catch all errors, warnings, exceptions, not just limited to crash reporting. There's an app overview which allows us to monitor app performance per week/month etc. With automatic alert sytem, we are able to catch errors before our users do. The UI is intuitive and search capabilities are the most profound that we've experienced in similar software so we can combine and compile a search based on a number of user defined parameters. Logs are stored to users devices and uploaded independantly to the cloud- which was a solution for us when devices are not connected to the internet. Finally, listing errors based on frequency is great because we can prioritize what must be fixed first, and keep up our 5 star app ratings.
Pros: I'm super grateful to have stumbled upon this software. I have been using it as a mobile app developer- its been my #1 tool to detect issues in dev stages as well as for apps in production. Besides being Open SDK - with a free version- that gave us time to feel out the software before buying, there are just so many advantages that made this an investment with a great return. With Shipbook you get full configurability of all log searches, which logs are gathered to the cloud, and also automatic alerts sent straight to slack. In addition, there is this new feature which gathers all warning exception and error logs and catalogues them according to the amount of times the error recurs - so we can prioritize which errors need to be fixed first. All in all, no more reproduction, no more relying on user reports. Easy intuitive 3rd party integration- makes this mobile app logger one we are very happy to have found.
Cons: Cant be used for react native or flutter.
"A Great Logging Solution for Mobile App Developers"
Overall: I would definitely reccomend- this is the next upandcoming logging software for app developers
Pros: I found the UI very easy to use, and the proactive alerts were a plus.
Cons: We had some scrolling issues- but those were sorted out.
