I have used it to print labels for file folders, boxes and CDs. It is simple and fast to use. Pros Creates labels and envelopes in a multitude of sizes and shapes. Allows printing on one (or more) label from a sheet of many labels without damaging the other labels on the sheet. Allows selecting which of the labels to print. There are enough formatting options (font, size, color, decoration) to design your label. Pictures and graphics can be imported and incorporated in your labels. Designs can be saved and used again. Software has worked with a variety of my printers without problems. Cons It does have a database function for mailing lists but I have not used this so I cannot comment on it. I have to print off many labels to go on products so that the customers know exactly what they are getting, this product allows me to do that. It is flexible and easy to use, a really good simple to use piece of software and hasn't let me down in the 10+ years I've been using it. Label Designer was the solution. Pros Have worked with software for over 30 years. Sometimes my clients have a need and I have to search for a solution. I am always cost conscious instead of jumping on the bandwagon for software that 'everyone' uses. Label Designer caught my eye for its very low cost compared to other products. Once I tried the trial, the features amazed me. 1. You have the ability to print to any label instead of only to the 'Avery' numbers. Something we needed. 2. Once you supply the measurements and layout of the pre-cut labels on the sheet, you still have the ability to minutely adjust position of the labels so they line up exactly. 3. Very easy to associate a database of information to print on the labels. No complicated steps. Once all set-up, the client now creates the latest database and save a file using the same name each time. Open Label Designer, it remembers the custom label, hit refresh on the database to pull in the latest info, and print. All done in no time at all. We use it to create custom production labels for a kitchen cabinet manufacturer as each component is labelled for any one project. They run close to 20 projects a day and every piece of wood is labelled. Label Designer has never let them down. Highly reliable, consistent, no useless fancy features to content with. Highly recommend it anyone doing labels. Cons None at all. However, do not enhance the program with useless features that would reduce productivity and efficiency for current users. Pros I like the software for its simplicity. I report depositions in the legal environment, and there's a different witness every day. I have to print out exhibit stickers for the deponents, and the software, once a label template is set up, couldn't be easier. I just have to fill in the name of the witness and add the date. Then the exhibit labels 1-80 get printed automatically!! Cons I do wish I could print LETTERS for exhibit labels instead of only numbers....maybe it's possible? We started using this product because the online version of a label design & print from a large label manufacturer was not functioning and leaving us without a way to easily design and print labels for our soap products. We are sticking with this product because it is very reliable and we don't want to be caught again without an ability to keep producing labels. Pros the ability to create templates for my designs and effectively manipulate background images for labels Cons finding the right label template from the list and that business card and postcards are not included in the list -- because they aren't specifically labels Reasons for choosing Label Designer Plus DELUXE see above. Pros After years of frustration over other programs, Label Designer was an answer to that frustration. It's easy to use and consistent. Fonts don't jump around and the end result looks professional. Cons When I have a large run of labels I would prefer if I could take the job to places like Home Depot but they don't support your program.
