They claimed to be so much better than the competition and especially better then what I was using. Made lots of promises about seemless migration of our systems and other cool features. They delivered none of this. When it became clear Katalyst could not deliver I made the decision to revert back to our old system. The Katalyst platform was slow and clunky with way to many steps to create a transaction. Each transaction took about 45 seconds longer then our current system. This may not seem like a big deal but when doing 400-500 transactions a day it adds up. I reached out to the \[sensitive content hidden\] to cancel service and with some back and forth got him to do it but even though we had only used the system for less than one day they charged me almost $1500 in fees. Then when I tried to arrange return of POS equipment they told me they wouldn’t take it back. That was another $10,000! I knew they were a relatively new company, only a couple years old but I had high hopes. They failed to deliver on every level. Pros Nothing. The company made promises but did not deliver. Cons Equipment is expensive compared to others. Transactions are slow with to many steps and waiting for system to catch up when using it. Company makes claims they cannot backup then doesn’t stand behind guarantee. Switched from [Square Point of Sale](https://www.capterra.com/p/275802/Square-Point-of-Sale/) Needed pre authorization on credit cards so we didn’t need to hold them.
