Simply, easy. I’m a user of it, not an admin so I think I use it less but it’s helpful to keep track of everything,

Pros

Reports are easy to read, easily accessible for printing. All the tabs are smart phone friendly (other platforms I’ve had issues with)

Cons

Sometimes the app does an update that causes issues or lags but the people who run it are quick to fix it.

Positive experience overall. We were previously using an HRIS that didn't display all of the information we needed and our employees were never able to view it, so using Dayforce has made our employee's experience with their information positive but also provided them with the autonomy they didn't previously have in our old system.

Pros

It's very user friendly for the end user. I like how everything is housed in one HRIS and I am able to view all of the employee's information in one easy place. The data is visually easy to read and it's conveniently in one place.

Cons

The reporting function. Creating reports from scratch isn't that simple for users who aren't familiar with how to create reports. I feel like this could be enhanced and simplified so that creating reports is easier. I also think the number of clicks it takes to do certain functions could be reduced by using shorthand or typing and having the system auto-populate information.

It is a love-hate relationship. When it works, it works well, but when it doesn't its a major pain and usually causes me to have to use a workaround which is not what we pay for.

Pros

Having all employee information in one place and the various tasks that you can do on one platform.

Cons

It can be very temperamental and troublesome to use. Some of the logic of the operations does not mesh with real-life practices. Some of the things you think should work a certain way do not, and it causes extra work.

It is very convenient because I can do a lot on the app, example, schedule and payroll. People can see who they are working with and also they can book their vacations through the app.

Cons

There is a lot of features that it may take some time for people to get to know how it all works. There's also a bit of trouble when people are clocking in due to the location having errors.

Quite good, never experienced any crashing, or it being shut down for maintenance. Like I said very easy to navigate, overall, I recommend Dayforce.

Very easy to navigate, well organize, and is very secure.

I haven't yet found anything that bothers me about Dayforce HCM

Production lags heavily, and causes impacts our payroll processing pace of completing payroll. We have to slow down to a slow pace as the system is very slow most of the time.

Pros

System is very intuitive. amazing product if it is configured correcting and staff is trained fully to use the system

Cons

Tax customer service is the absolute worst. they would take money/ach our account without prior approval on multiple occasions. Which breaks our contractual agreement. DF has processes such as sending and ATD to be signed prior to debiting the account however this wasn't followed multiple times. also PII info was a concern. I received and email from DF saying your email config was updated. They had added email to our account of humans that never have worked here. they crossed wires between client and added emails to our email config from some company we have no affiliation with.

Pros

The payroll system is intuitive and reports are robust.

Cons

Implementation was incredibly long and the support ticket advisors are usually poorly trained. During implementation we had several different project managers due to turnover. Most of the advisors we have had directly from Ceridian have been so siloed they did not understand how their section of the system effected other systems. This has caused many issues down the line for us. I am still correcting things set up wrong during implementation.

I have been using Dayforce for almost 10 years. We still don't use all the modules (even though I would like to) but I hope we get there in the next few years. The features we currently use have positively impacted our efficiency and accountability. I greatly enjoyed attending the Insights conferences for several years and look forward to the new Discover Dayforce event this year. The FIT sessions, demonstrations, product updates, and opportunities to meet one-on-one with customer support reps are extremely valuable.

Pros

Everything is in one place and they are constantly innovating by adding or updating features to manage the changing needs of employers and the workforce. I feel comfortable with their efforts to ensure the highest levels of compliance.

Cons

Like every application there are little quirks and malfunctions from time to time. I have found Dayforce support to be helpful in these cases. Also, since it is such a robust system it can take a while to learn your way around, but the community and support portal provide needed resources.

It's a fairly reliable system, but it does go offline more often than other systems in my experience. It helps my organization get things done and is consistently upgraded. One challenge is that reporting features change and we have to keep re-learning.

Pros

It's one of the most sophisticated systems available and very configurable.

Cons

The customer service model is lacking. The account rep assigned doesn't help with issues; they are more of a salesperson. Getting help from their ticketing system/help desk is hit or miss.

I had never used Dayforce as an end user prior to taking my current role as the Dayforce Administrator and there have definitely been more "good days" than "bad" with implementing and learning the entire platform.

Pros

Dayforce is a robust system overall. I have only been using as an administrator for seven months and was able to quickly learn and become an SME is many different areas across the platform.

Cons

WE have 5 separate business entities all under our one Dayforce platform and there are many config settings that are global, which creates issues for us when trying to customize to each entity.

From the perspective of a system administrator, Dayforce is a reliable, thorough HRIS/HCM package that touches all major items in an employees lifecycle - Ongoing maintenance can be time consuming, but the overall experience for end users is worth it. Onboarding, Recruitment, Engagement and scheduling are best in class modules and worth the effort to implement.

Pros

All in one, start to finish employee lifecycle solution Onboarding and recruitment modules are leaders in the field Ability to thoroughly cover payroll and scheduling compliance for both Australia and New Zealand Both custom forms and workflows create genuine ability to fill any gaps you find in processes. Customer Success Management genuinely fights for their clients Uptime and environment support is reliable Integration options are vast and reliable

Cons

Upgrade cadence is too frequent, leaving me chasing my tail as an admin General support without escalation can be slow at times Some modules are still North American Focused (Benefits and Compensation specifically)

Made clocking in and out a breeze. Positive overall experience with managing PTO and time off requests. Would recommend this app for small and moderately sized businesses (15 - 250 employees)

Pros

User interface was generally easy to navigate. Clocking in and out was easy as well. You have the ability to set up a range area making it capable to clock in in the parking lot, or anywhere near the building. Time saving for sure!

Cons

There were some app updates at the time I was using the app that would make it difficult to submit time off requests, but after a month or so the problem resolved.

I have used Dayforce for over five years and participated in many intensive integration projects. I learned from each project, and I find Dayforce HCM easy to navigate.

Pros

Dayforce HCM has all HR, benefits, WFM, report, and payroll in one place and is easy to navigate once you understand the system. The Dayforce support team is excellent, and they are always ready to assist you whenever you need help.

Cons

The Dayforce HCM has greatly improved its Reports and Analytics functions, but I would appreciate having more report specialists to support the reports.

It has been great so far for part time jobs to manage schedules and payment information. The days of having paper documentation and clock in/out are gone.

Pros

Seamless platform to manage employment information. Easy to access and update schedule, tax forms and payment information. Shifts management in part time jobs is also a plus as you can easily switch with colleagues.

Cons

Clock in and out option should be more easy to access as it is actually hidden inside the settings and not as a quick access button.

It's greater platform to manage your payrolls, taxes form, update your employee info, scheduled day offs and see your shift time. Easy to use.

No issue. Always works perfect. Web version has more option. Mobile app help to use it any time. No bugs.
