### "Innovative and customizable total HR solution"

Pros

Ceridian was able to customize the solution to fit my unique business needs. The other HRIS providers were not willing to make changes in their offerings and instead pushed an "one size fits most" product. The solution has automated our payroll, recruitment, onboarding, HR, benefits, document management, performance management process and more. Ceridian has now become a daily stop for our employees and has significantly reduced the administration work for our payroll and HR teams. Whats more, the product has enhanced our security and privacy by transiting to a secure software program instead of using paper and excel spreadsheets.

Cons

Turn around time for customer solution tickets could be improved. Sometimes when little things need to be tweaked the customer needs to submit a ticket to their client solutions team. On average the turn around time has acceptable but on occasion could be faster.

It is a good software, but will be much better when it changes to HTML5 and no longer relies on Silverlight.

Pros

It's easy to manage your time off requests, your payroll and documents, and any information regarding your pay and benefits. Web based, so it's great to be able to use the features while at home or on the go via my Smartphone.

Cons

Due to reliance on Silverlight by Microsoft the software is not as useful in browsers that do not support Silverlight, such as Chrome or Firefox. The software still functions in some areas, but not all.

Pros

We switched to Dayforce from Sage, and I can say that it is much easier to use and navigate. You can send emails, and even get help through the actual website and app. Both the website and app are very user friendly. You can keep track of your time, request time off, and even get to your paystubs quickly with very little trouble.

Cons

I think the only downside is if you forget your password, there are a few steps to reset it as there are with just about anything nowadays.

We implemented this system almost a year ago throughout our whole organization and we LOVE it! Our team members appreciate having some of the power in their hands to be able to see their schedules on the mobile app, request time off on the mobile app, managers can approve request on the mobile app, and the system is very easy to navigate. If we had to make the choice again, we would not change a thing!

Pros

Dayforce is very intuitive, which is one of the reasons we decided on Dayforce. We looked at the system from the perspective of the team member, who would use it, but most likely not daily. How would they be able to navigate the system? What would be their challenges? We found that Dayforce was able to rise to the challenge and provide many tools that would help our team members out along the way. One of them we like is the great mobile app that appeals to the millennials. Being able to check schedules, time worked, request time off, etc. on the mobile app has been a huge success for the team members as well as the managers who would get the calls to find out what the schedule is, or how much time off is available.

Cons

The reporting for someone not as advanced is great, but for those that are more advanced it can be challenging. To be fair, they do have a lot of standard reports that you can tweak, but for those that like to get in and pull various reports, I don't think they have a good way of letting you know what the tables are and where to pull the data from.

Pros

The one feature I absolutely love is the license/certification field. I've used other systems and by far this has an excellent tracking database and the reports I pull are efficient and has helped with with compliance.

Cons

The evaluation tool could be enhanced. It seems a bit basic and I wish the report was also enhanced for better compliance.

Pros

I like the ability to easily locate my PTO stats and arrange PTO thru the use of the calendar. The feature tree includes the ability to easily view my compensation amounts and pay stubs.

Cons

I would like to see all my direct reports PTO days included on the calendar. Instead of having to go into time clocks and entering all kinds of info to find it.

Dayforce probably has it all, and mgmt can give access to some degree, but i'm not sure what is Dayforce action and what is mgmt action. Overall, as employee, I'm sure there must be another software that is just as powerful, but more intuitive to use.

Pros

Mobile app makes it easiest to punch in and out for the day, but not for meals. Android app needs some tweeking to access icons for quick punch.

Cons

I expect that it is a powerful suite, but from an employee standpoint, it is not easy to navigate to access the options. There are not any "help" pages or chats, you just have to fish around and figure out which pages give you the actual options you are looking for. For instance, listing your availability, or note to mgr about an extra hour off at lunch to take care of something personal. Mgr was always complaining that she didn't find our notes. It was frustrating and caused ill feelings.

It's intuitive and takes almost no explanation to show new employees how it works. Easy to see your hours, confirm your punch times and check your vacation and sick time balance.

Cons

It can take a minute or so to boot up the first time it is started for the day.

It was a convenient way to see my hours and my earnings at work. It was easy to see important information quickly and conveniently.

Pros

The application is super simple and easy to use. The sign-up is based on the information provided by managers and once logged in, the application is secure and has a easy to use interface. The work calendar is simple and shows what the schedule is and what the employee's shift is. Every action in the app makes sense and the menus are descriptive to what they do.

Cons

The manager has to properly setup Dayforce or the application is essentially useless. The application is basic and has the necessary features, but it is missing customization for more advanced setups. The application is missing push notifications for important reminders and requires an outside calendar application for reminders.

It's been very positive. The support staff has been phenomenal and they have helped us all along the way. I was shocked at the level of support we received in order to help us with some of our more creative problems.

Pros

I love that I'm able to get the reports that I need relating to my department. I'm able to pull reports in real time and get them instantly in excel format where I can manipulate the data to better my department and company. Even better I can write my own reports including the data I need and exclude what I don't need. This has been monumental in pushing my department and company forward in a very competitive market.

Cons

Some of the things I need in order to be more successful require an added fee per employee. Advanced scheduling module would be very beneficial for me, but we cannot justify the cost at this time

Pros

It was a sufficient software to set up and establish within company initially however it didn’t offer the support we needed as we grew. Great beginner, small company software

Cons

It was a very basic software for payroll and attendance. As we grew and became more compliant with certifications and industry standards, it wasn’t able to keep up. We needed a software that provided full automation through recruiting, training, performance reviews, goal setting and more

It is a good product. It is cloud based which makes is highly desirable during the pandemic. Customer support is also very helpful.

Pros

A lot of features are easy to adapt and there is less of a learning curve. The software can be used for a host of HR functions from payroll to recruitment, LMS, performance management and more.

Cons

The system has a vast number of features and one needs to rely on a consultant for customization. Advanced knowledge of software engineering is necessary while creating reports or XML forms.

Our company launched Dayforce HCM in May of 2015. We went from an entirely manual process to a sleek HRIS. This was a large challenge due to the significant amount of change for our managers and employees. Luckily, Dayforce was easy to use so it reduced the amount of training our employees needed. Now that we are fully functional on the program, we are seeing huge productivity gains from our admin, payroll, HR and management teams. We have also increased our ability to effectively manage our business by increasing our visibility and access to employees. I would highly recommend this product to others looking to invest in an HRIS or considering changing providers.

Pros

The ability to customize the product to fit our unique business challenges. This was very important to us given we work in a very complex environment. Ceridian was able to make software changes that allowed us to accomplish the specific tasks we needed in order to effectively manage our business.

Cons

The thing I like least about the software are some of the compatibility issues. The recruitment module is unable to accept formatting from Microsoft word which means we need to change the format of job descriptions before they can be posted.

Overall, very happy. Have implemented about 80% of the functionality. And we continue to update.

Pros

Very robust. One single system makes the entirety of the product seamless. Changes in one area are automatically updated to others. No integration!

Cons

Implementations are always tough. This one was no different. Although, it was one of the better ones I have done.

### "It’s been a ride....."

Started our journey in June 2018. Thought it would be a smooth 12 weeks. Was supposed to go LIVE on October 1, pushed to January 1, pushed to April 1. “Fired” the first Implementation team because they were not expert ICs and somewhat unfamiliar with US payroll law. Was transferred to a new PM who is great, \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\], and higher level IC \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] to bale out the previous team. Much of what was built in HPW could not just be imported and had to be re-built.

Pros

Ease of processing payroll. Report writer. More automation available compared to HPW platform. Dayforce talks to WFM! Earnings statements real time.

Cons

Cannot have Job Title and job code (attached to EEO code) on EE profile. Has been very challenging building the system with complex pay policies. New Hire form data entry does not trickle into all of the necessary fields that we use, so we have to touch about 10 screens to put all of New Hire data in.

Reason for choosing Dayforce HCM

Because we were already using WFM, we thought it made sense to be on the entire Dayforce platform. The $$ incentive to move from HPW was attractive. We also thought the transition would be easy, from Ceridian product to ceridian product (but that was not necessarily the case).
