Cons

The time it took to get here. Also while there are great steps towards modernization they’re still far behind other companies.

### "All in one platform"

Pros

We implemented Ceridian Dayforce and have found an all in one solution that meets all of our business needs. Real time information. No more spreadsheets that are outdated as soon as you share them. Workflows that eliminate multitudes of manual paperwork. We are extremely pleased with this product.

Cons

It has so much that is gets overwhelming. The program is set-up for your specific needs and with that it may take some time for support to answer your questions.

Quicker ease of access scheduling. Less hassle for the managers as well as the employees. You are also able to use it from home or with the phone version. I did find it was slower on the phone and not as user friendly as just using it on the work computers.

Pros

I like that its easy to learn. Your staff can log on from home and get quick up to date changed with their schedule. I also like how each person can go in and update their availability. When you are managing a retail store with college kids it can be a hassle to get everyone's schedules down especially once exams start. Dayforce takes a lot of the guessing and extra hassle out of scheduling.

Cons

It can be a bit confusing with the colors to see what you are looking for with ease. Can be a bit slow when you are trying to enter a lot of information in at a time.

The overall experience that I have had has been positive. Working with our Customer Success Manager we have been able to get a solution for any obstacle that we have come up.

Pros

The application is configurable but not customizable. This allows for the system to be configured how you need it to work. The new features that are continually being introduced are very interesting and are innovative in that the core focus is on improving the user experience in order to improve the bottom line of your organization.

Cons

The most frustrating part of working with the application is the new features that introduced do not always come with instructions which means there is a lot of trial and error on the configuration team's part in order to get the system to work. In general the support personal are constantly turning over which impacts our ability to consistent customer service.

Pros

Dayforce is highly configurable. We are a mid-size manufacturer with plant's in 3 states, 2 different pay frequencies, and 4 different bargaining agreements. Needless to say, we have a complex payroll. Dayforce easily handles our complex pay and benefits structures, and it is easy to make changes each time there is a new bargaining agreement. Customer support has gotten much better since they changed to a the 'pod' model - now when we call or open an online ticket, I get someone that is already familiar with our company and our Dayforce configuration.

Cons

I would like to see them offer more in-depth training for those of us that are HRIS administrators, so that we could do more of our own configuration and have less billable projects. The platform runs slow at times. Only really a problem on payroll processing days.

Faster payroll runs, love year end process which really save time and stress.

Pros

It is very user friendly and easy to train new users. Handles or tax filings with little issues. Tax representatives easy to discuss any issue with. Payroll processing is quick and finishes very quickly with no errors if you check your import. Love how easy year end is. Even with having to hit information from HR and our accounts payable department we can close year end with little or no overtime. Support needs some work but they are becoming better in handling issues.

Cons

The support answering and helping wth issues. No communication between Dayforce and Source Tax.

Pros

DAYFORCE makes payroll, benefits, taxes, timesheets and everything else work related much easier and very organized. I have used it for 3 years and I love how user-friendly it is.

Cons

There is not really anything I could think of that I don't like in particular about Dayforce as it is a convenient tool at work.

I LOVE the system! We just went through the Thomas fire in Southern California and without this system we would not have been able to communicate with our staff. While we were being evacuated, I was trying to send payroll and if we were still with ADP we never would have been able to. I would have had 750 employees that were evacuated, some had lost everything and they would not have gotten paid. Dayforce literally saved the day for everyone. We were closed for 5 weeks and without the messaging capability through Dayforce, we wouldn't have been able to communicate with our staff. I was able to check on employees and answer questions while I too was evacuated. The system gave us some relief in a time that was scary, emotionally draining and stressful. The gratitude I have for making this switch from ADP to Ceridian before the fire happened, can't be put into words. Other payroll professionals will know the stress of not being able to send a payroll, but in the worst time for me I did not have that stress. The system offers so much and no other Payroll & HR software provider even comes close.

Pros

Robust system, everything is in 1, constantly enhancing the system, Insights conference is AMAZING, XOXO website lets you communicate with other customers and is hands down a game changer

Cons

Because the system is so robust, the implementation is hard, reporting is outdated and formatting is not the best.

I've been using the Dayforce app for years now and I have come to like it. It took some time to get used to but I think it is the complete software and app for managing the time of employees of an organization. I like the ability to have shortcuts on the home screen and that it allows me to use my fingerprint to sign in. The most notable issue was the initial on-boarding process. It was a hassle because the proper username format was unclear causing a delay in getting hundreds of employees set up.

Pros

Easy connection and set up Fingerprint use to sign in Saves my username Ability to receive messages from HR App interface allows you to set up shortcuts Can view abbreviated version of paystub Geolocation feature

Cons

The layout of the software is a little overwhelming at first until you learn where to find everything. Username has to be exact, some people include middle initial and some dont-trial and error to find out

Pros

Our employees find it mostly easy to use. They like the mobile punch and on-demand pay options.

Cons

It is not hospitality/F&B friendly. It does not understand about tip credits/sub minimum wage. Multiple postions/rates for one person are hard to manage. Customer service and support is generally poor.

I think as an employee requires to complete or access important HR or Finance forms or data, I am satisfied.

Pros

Simplicity as a user and employee getting the information I need to have about my HR forms and pay stubs

Cons

There are often instance where the submitting of HR requested forms was not easy or confusing in complete. I dont know if this is because of Day Force or because of asminiatrative set-up but I have to always access it via my companies portal. I cant juat go to Dayforce to get in.

Pros

The ease of and accessibility of reporting and the self-service features for employees, including the always-expanding app, is wonderful. I also find the handshake between the onboarding feature and the HR to be a strong plus.

Cons

I feel like my con is less about Ceridian as a platform and more about the lack of cohesiveness offered by the support team. I feel like the value of and quality of communication and follow-through vary wildly from case to case.

I believe we have a Cadillac system but when we don’t receive responses from support it makes the options overwhelming when you still have your daily tasks at hand.

There seems to be so many options available.

Cons

Lack or response & support, we reach out and don’t hear back until multiple emails are sent.

Pros

Dayforce HCM is self serve, meaning our employees can log on and input, update, and track their information on their own without needing to contact the HR department for each individual need.

Cons

The implementation team did a terrible job setting up the software for our company. There are so many issues and glitches with the way the software is set up that we had to have a re-implementation and restructure the software. The Support team is sub par at best, and on top of paying a large amount for the software itself, you have to pay for additional users in the support portal, along with other additional fees for fixes. High importance items are often over looked and not resolved in a timely manner.
