It replaced a prior HCM system that was not doing a good job. Users were not happy with the accessibility to infromation

Pros

It is fantastic. It handles all of our HCM and payroll needs. The reporting is great, never any issues with compliance

Cons

There is nothing that i dont like . It is a great platform.

It really is a one stop shop for everything HR. Our headquarters and HR department are remote, so my team and I appreciate the resources within Dayforce HCM. The timeclock and PTO functionality for my team of 12 is easily managed, as are the storage and access to tax and benefit forms. As the manager, I see what they see and then some. We have it set to accrue PTO daily which our employees appreciate. Requesting time off and seeing balances is very easy. Having quick access to pay statements is also handy. I prefer this software over some of the larger players in this space!

Pros

\-intuitive for most users w/ basic needs -stable platform from an outage perspective -scalable: our company just recently added new hire paperless onboarding via Dayforce. Recruiting will be added soon.

Cons

\-reporting is tricky to navigate -new hire onboarding is finicky. sometimes does not save your work -certain dynamic functions require IE silverlight, yet program works better in Chrome?

It is a single platform and we are still working to integrate each module to the full potential.

Pros

It is pretty easy to use and it is a clean looking platform.

Cons

Some of the things I like least about the software are the custom reports (creating can be difficult as I can't pull in all the fields I believe I should be able to from the employee profile - i.e. GL splits); I am finding the mid-year HSA enrollment changes to be very difficult (employees find it difficult as well); and the GL setup is not conducive to making manual changes during the year. I have to constantly contact support to make changes and go through multiple tests just to get to where we need to be for reporting.

Overall experience is very good and useful.

Pros

I use Dayforce daily to get time record and time sheets for each employee. I can also keep record of time off and vacation leave which is easy to keep record of payroll

Cons

It took awhile to get use to the program but with the customer service it was easier.

Pros

This software is all encompassing - It has so many intuitive functions! We use it primarily for on-boarding, recruitment, payroll, scheduling, and time clocks. We have only scratched the surface of what this software can do. We are especially pleased that after switching to this software we have been able to shave an entire work day off of our payroll processing.

Cons

The initial roll out was lengthy and there are still some software kinks we are trying to work out. Sometimes customer support isn't always has helpful as we would like, and can take a bit to get us answers or troubleshooting directions.

The ease of use with Dayforce has been dependent on how well our legacy information has come over during implementation and the learning of the users. My biggest hurdle has been that with HR/PR SQL, I knew everything and how to fix it, this has been a steep learning curve for me.

Pros

The integration between HR, Payroll, Time & Attendance and Benefits is the main reason we went with Dayforce. It gave us an all inclusive solution to our needs

Cons

The reliance on Silverlight has been the main drawback, but that is going away soon. The other issue has been a latency issue for our satellite users; the time to load IE has been a problem but the ability to use Chrome has helped.

Overall I really like the interface and the ability to suspend a job ie. Lunch breaks and keeps accurate record of vacation days. Excellent for remote employees, improvement over their competition Humanity's Shiftplanner. Highly recommend

Pros

Simple, easy to use and understand interface for employees. Great in keeping track of paid sick leave and holiday pay. Can utilize GPS data for clock in times for remote employees.

Cons

If you are using the system remotely, you need to be sure for adequate cell signal or WiFi connection to be able to clock in and out. I do not believe there is a way to clock in offline and have it upload when connection resumes

Having everything in one place has made managing my work details much easier, especially with the use of the app. I don't need to email HR as often to ask about my benefits or earnings, and I was able to access my end of year forms to do my taxes even before it was physically mailed to me.

Pros

Dayforce has an app for my iPhone that allows me easy access to my account. I'm able to clock in or out without a hassle, and I can check and edit my timesheet to reflect the correct hours I worked. It also allows me access to my earnings and time off requests, so I can check things even when I'm not in the office.

Cons

I do wish it had a way to log in by memory instead of making me type in my password every time. It also sometimes rounds my time to the wrong interval (ex. clock in at 10:07 should round down to 10:00 but it often puts it at 10:15 instead).

Pros

I love that you can see the time that you get paid for in a pie chart. I also like that you get notified about current pay stubs.

Cons

I wish the app was as easy as the online website.

Our HR and Payroll departments are finally able to work in the same software. We always had two separate softwares in the past and they didn't link/communicate with each other. Moving to Ceridian Dayforce has made life easier and removed the data entry duplication. We have access to excellent reports too.

Pros

Ceridian Dayforce are continually improving and adding/updating features. They also create new modules but they come at a cost.

Cons

The first few years, ironing out the 'wrinkles' of a poor implementation. I hear the implementation experience is much improved since we purchased the software five years ago.

Overall Dayforce is the best workforce management software in the industry. If you have to do anything HR related, Dayforce will definitely help you get the job done.

Pros

What I love most about Dayforce is its ability to integrate payroll, benefits, talent management and other HR related features into a single easy to use software.

Cons

The software is excellent. I wish there was a bit more documentation on new features since there are always new features coming out.

Cons

Some things could be added via the software such as disputing time clock issues or notifications once time is approved or denied.

We have been using Dayforce for a little more than three years. We use it as a North American tool, whereby we are able to report on all employees regardless of where they are located. We continue to find new ways to define and segment pay categories so that we can drill down and report on various cost areas. While many of our hourly employees do not always have access to a computer, the Dayforce app makes reviewing pay information (the most important to them) readily available and almost everyone has an android or iPhone.

Pros

Reporting is fairly easy. Easy to manage both payroll and benefits. Carrier feeds are very important in reducing administrative time. Ability to pull payroll registers is extremely helpful. Ability to request information in different formats (PDF, Excel) is also important.

Cons

Ability to customize or move things on the screen. Some of the job/position fields are a bit misleading, but that may be because of the way we set them up.

We do not use paper time sheets, this has the HR function which we have never had before.

Pros

Payroll and HR is more efficient. It's easy to use an learn. I love the educational feature.

Cons

There is really nothing I don't like. I think we were so outdated on the system we had before that everything on this system was an improvement.

Reason for choosing Dayforce HCM

Dayforce had more to offer as far as taxation for non resident set up. It was more user friendly. The WFM was superior to other companies we looked at. We also have a longstanding relationship with Ceridian so we know we would get everything promised.

Ceridian encourages input from clients and will redesign around client requests. The support model is great and easy via computer or phone.

Pros

Employee/Manager (end user) access is user-friendly. The payroll processing is highly easy to audit prior to submission of payroll. Can see the calculations prior to committing. The Benefits platform is adaptable and can be configured for complex benefits. I love the ability to have Ceridian send the carrier files.

Cons

Some of the functionality is not usable because it is able to be customized.

We are using Dayforce for benefits and payroll currently. We have a different system as our system of record. We are in the process now of building the business case to transition everything to Dayforce because of the major issues we have experienced. The benefits of having everything in one system are immeasurable. One system provides for a seamless user experience and will allow us to maximize the functionality, especially with all the great changes coming in 2020.

Pros

I never took a day of training but was able to navigate the system and end date benefits for employees. Open enrollment is a breeze with this new system.

Cons

I haven't experienced anything that I disliked so far. The system is intuitive and easy to use.

It is easy to use, when the function is there. But really, it is so limited. Hopefully, it can allow me to do more.

Pros

I use both ADP and Dayforce. There seems no much difference between them. I don’t prefer either. For Dayforce, I like it most is it is straigt forward to use, when the function is there.

Cons

I don’t like the software is the function is so limited and restricted. I cannot change direct deposit; cannot change W2 form; even cannot update my personal information like phone number and address. So, the functionality is very basic to me. I need to seek other ways for more functions.
