We have some complex policies / procedures that other vendors simply told us could not be automated. However, we have been able to automate not just successfully but accurately these complex policies to improve our internal customer satisfaction and remove a lot of the administrative burden. Ceridian is also clearly dedicated to excelling and staying ahead of the industry's needs, as clearly reflected in their willingness and execution to implement clients' ideas based on their individual needs. Cons Silverlight plug-in is a problem especially for my Mac users; however, they are working on getting rid of this, thankfully. In addition, they had to address some implementation inefficiencies. December 2, 2016 4.0 Since our inception into Ceridian products in 2015 - we have had such great services and products to help our business in maintaining our payroll program. In many ways, it is helping and yet we know we have seen ways that Ceridian is not helping because we are a smaller company. But as we grow, we will want Ceridian to be part of the growing. Dayforce has lots of interesting tools and ways to help any company. With Ceridian's team to help customize it to our actual needs, Dayforce has been helpful, intuitive and easy to use by everyone. Pros Appearance, easy to use, lots of tools, staff have yet to say it is not a good program..this is big. Cons Really nothing to say in the negative. Review Source Stacy T. Cons I think the support needs much work. You have to submit a ticket and have to wait too much time to get an answer that doesn't really usually answer the question. Since I use it daily, I have found that the user experience is unlike any other program that we use. Pros I like that the product team listens to their customers and they continue to grow their product to what their customers need. Cons There are some features that we would love to incorporate but as a non-profit organization, we are unable to afford to add them. Pros I love the ease of logging into one system to get access to all my needs from processing a new employee to processing payroll and beyond. Having access to everything I need in one location for employees make my work life happier and more efficient! Cons The vast amount of information to sort through with any upgrade can be overwhelming. Would be nice to have a script to test through so I can be sure I am covering all of my bases before it is live on production. Pros This software is a great tool for time entry. I like that I can easily see the number of hours worked. Cons The one con is sometimes it is hard to edit time. " June 28, 2019 5.0 Our HR/Payroll functions have improved dramatically. We were 90% paper-based and now I would say we are 15% paper based or less. It was a lot of work to implement Dayforce for a 4000+ employee company but it was so worth it. Pros Single platform HCM with real time functionality, promotes paperless HR/Payroll processing, makes payroll processing a breeze, Ceridian constantly enhances the product and listens to customer feedback Cons It's been challenging going from the Silverlight-based functions to the HTML because we were used to using the Silverlight modules but now that we're getting used to the new HTML modules I really like them. The challenging part about getting used to the new HTML modules is we had just implemented Dayforce so we were still getting used to the software itself and then we had to get used to a new version in HTML which had a different look/feel. It was extremely helpful to have the availability added in in real time when the employee needed to make changes. I enjoyed using it. Pros What I liked most about this software was the ability to connect it to excel to print schedules. The software is relatively user friendly once you got the hang of it which only took about a week of use. Cons Sometimes it got a little glitchy but I believe that was due to our corporate restraints on what stores could and couldn’t do within the program. We have a great relationship with our product manager, Pamela Schaffer, she keeps us in the loop for upcoming training and events, she ensures we have the ability to resolve our issues by assisting as needed and escalating issues when needed. Pros The main page was easy to navigate and use. I was able to get to everything I needed without searching endlessly on a busy screen. I appreciated the time of functionality as well as the benefits administration functionality. It was all super easy to work through. Cons I did not like the performance management system set up. It would also help to have some programming background. Dayforce is one system, so be aware all changes can effect another. Pros It is an incredibly comprehensive and customizable product. The training that is offered is vast and at all levels. Implementation was supportive and provided a team that worked well with ours. The offer so many avenues of training, support and networking. I love the payroll side and I find it much easier to use than ADP's Workforce now. Cons Customer support is not as responsive as I would like. It is not an instant set up, it takes a lot of programming to customize it to your company. Dayforce is not a cookie cutter system it takes work to make sure that your organization is reflected correctly for HR and Payroll. I do enjoy the ability that it gives you to keep up with leave availability, any documents you have signed, and copy of payroll. Pros There is easy access to anything you may need where your employment is concerned. I am able to access pay stubs, W2, health care documents, and any sick/vacation time I have available. It is easier than having to reach out to an HR person every time you need something. Cons The forgotten password feature is hard on the everyday employee, because it only gives you a limited number of attempts and then your HR person must get it reset for you.
