### "Easy Peasy! "

Pros

This software has such an easy navigation. Our team members were able to hop in and identify where to go and what to do to manage their own HRIS needs - specifically in regards to benefits and time off.

Cons

I feel like there are many features of this tool that we are just not using. Some of the scheduling features can be better applied, but we need to review the capabilities.

### "Complex Multi-Coubtry Implementation"

Pros

One of our major wins was the consolidation of HRIS, Workforce Management and Payroll under one roof with one employee record. We were able to move Canada, UK and US employees into ONE SYSTEM. Huge win for our users and technical team.

Cons

The implementation was complex and our team struggled throughout the phases. We required strong project management resources on the Ceridian side, and that role was not a strength. We went through multiple Ceridian PMs and eventually hired an additional PM for the client side. The implementation team approach to certain functions - specifically entitlement setup - did not align with best practices endorsed by the Ceridian support team. Unfortunately we did not learn this until after go-live. We ended up reworking Entitlements post implementation.

Pros

I like the ease of requesting PTO and approving time clocks for each employee. Time management is easy with dayforce.

Cons

it can be diffficult for locate certain forms and tax documents under the different menus. I wish it were set up better in that sense.

For the business, it was great to have payroll tied in with other functions. However, the security involved meant that there were a lot of menus to go through for the average employee to get the information they needed. Perhaps it was a poor set-up choice by the IT management, but it left a questionable taste in my mouth for Dayforce.

Pros

I liked how much horsepower Dayforce had. A lot of data across the organization's departments was integrated, and I never saw glitches or crashes, it was quite impressive.

Cons

The controls and menus, especially for end users, were vast and difficult to navigate. The learning curve was steep, and I found customer service on the slow side.

The program holds so much information about the employee and the ease of adding more modules to the payroll program make it a very helpful product. It has so many more features than what I've had access to in the past.

Pros

I like the way the software is very easy to use. The program has very good reporting and easy to create reports. Staff are able to catch on quickly to it's use and don't have a problem with the program. It is alos cloud based so it can be accessed anywhere by employees.

I think the actual product is great and even better than I realized. However, I am not necessarily as impressed with some members of the implementation team. And definitely not impressed with implementation members inability to give guidance on watching videos, which ones, and length of time of videos so you can plan accordingly. We have wasted a lot of time in this area.

Pros

Vast capability for organizations that are large and have resources to administer

Cons

Can be very difficult unless you have identified HRIS resources/implementation people

Reason for choosing Dayforce HCM

My President and sister company really wanted it. Plus it is a really robust system.

None over previous software. I do believe that it is better for the people who process our payroll, but for us users like me (time clock punchers), it is more difficult than our previous software.

Pros

The software itself is pretty comprehensive. There are many options and it keeps track of daily time, time off requests, sick days remaining, vacation remaining, etc.

Cons

Some employees, like me, who punch a clock find it difficult to use as far as approving "time", requesting time off. Often takes too long too load before punching in. A common complaint is punching in late when the employee was actually early to work. This seems to be computer dependent. Newer computers having little to no problems punching in while folks using older computers have the software loading too slowly issue.

Pros

All-in-one integrated system. Easy to use for employees, yet sophisticated enough for power users to customize the back-end for our needs. I like their road map for the next couple years. They've made great changes to the interface as well as added new features. It looks like that trend will continue, which is exciting.

Cons

Performance can be a bit slow because the foundation is built on Silverlight. Technical support can be hit or miss.

My work uses this software for scheduling but it is SO easy to use. Dayforce app makes it easy to swap or request shifts. I love that I can easily access it on my phone

### "Slow loading, old UI"

My only formal way to post and track vacation days for myself and employees.

Pros

Using the software basically only for vacation tracking. Nice GUI, yet many screens with functions not in use.

Cons

As a cloud service, software should not be that slow... Loading... Downloading Web Components... Initializing.... Loading again... after 2 minutes you finally have access to the software and all you wanted is to fill in a vacation day. Hello, this is 2018!

Pros

I like all the integrated functionality.

Cons

Some features still feel siloed...you should be able to bring earnings into the comp module.

It has been good. Implementing the system was tough but once it has been established it has worked well.

Pros

The report feature is easy to navigate. It allows you to pull the necessary fields to verify data that is sent to vendors as well as comparing benefit deductions to enrolled benefits. After your first open enrollment, it is simple to create the new open enrolment the following year.

Cons

It tends to be slow when logging into he system. When you have employees on the phone that are asking questions about their benefit, it could take a minute sometimes to log in. It also times you out very quickly.

Pros

The scalability of this software made it easy to implement across multiple offices and divisions. It integrates with our existing payroll solution.

Cons

The implementation timeline was extremely long. While there is a lot of customizations, I feel like the implementation period could be cut down.

It does a great job at tracking time for work and taking the guess work out of lunch time and overtime.

Pros

The best thing about dayforce is how easy it is to clock in and out. I like that I can access my detailed payroll history and print paystubs.

Cons

I don’t like the fact that I have to go through the log in process every time I use it, instead of the option to save your login information for an easy login.

Pros

The flexibility and adaptability. We can easily change policies and structure as we grow and add new locations. We have adapted it based on the uniqueness of our business and it will work with what we need.

Cons

Support and implementation are lacking. Our implementation team dropped the ball on many occasions and did not listen to our needs. We have been active over a month and still are working with the implementation on things that should have been resolved prior to us going live.

### "Easy Way to Manage and Track Time"

We were able to quickly set up time clocks around the building and it allows us the capability to clock in and out online.

Pros

I like that the system allows an easy and intuitive way to track and manage time for salaried and hourly employees. I am able to quickly log in and see my time away and time left to use. Messages are easy to find and understand once my supervisor approves my time off.

Cons

That it took a long time to implement with our company. Our company is very complex and requires a lot of custom integrations and they struggled to accomplish this task.

Pros

The support team availability and expertise but you are not just a customer but part of their team They really want you to succeed before and after implementation and that is the key the continuous presence

Cons

Some of the options as a deductions like additional races as a separate line is still not available even after the two years that we implemented should be available like guarnishees

Pros

Dayforce is much easier to navigate from an end user perspective, so training the field on authorizing schedules, time sheets, time away from work, and any kind of employment form (promotions, terminations, ect.) was successful at my organization. I think having a system that is simple to use has really helped us to increase our payroll accuracy across the organization since the field is more willing to be engaged.

Cons

The fact that some of their modules still use MS Silverlight, which means my browser choices are limited when working in the system.
