Very robust platform. You must develop your own expertise to be able to extend the use of it otherwise, you may not find a great value for your buck. Still, a lot of development to do, many modules and functionalities are missing but we've seen promising things at Ceridian's conference last year.

Pros

It's meant for retail business.

System is easy but all of the legwork to prep the data and launch it was a tremendous effort. Now that we are live with the tool, things did got better but the team is still working to fix issues so we have happy employees.

Pros

The cost effectiveness versus any other Payroll software out there, plus the ease of implementing in other countries, since we are a Global company. The software is easy to use and almost intuitive.

Cons

Interphases can be improved, while implementing stuff would go wrong in Prod that didn't during test.

Why is this software so slow to enter data? Takes forever to complete fields and doesn't update or maintain data from one day to the next for easy repetitive entry. Each field has to be manually entered from a drop down for each day. Why not maintain data preference from one day to the next or allow copy/paste? Even the "conveniently" filled in hours fields don't activate hours until you reenter them manually or increment/decrement them numerous times which gives you partial fractional hours. Can't enter data for days in advance if you happen to be going away or don't want to revisit your time sheet on the final day of work schedule. Therefore supervisors have to review all time sheets on the last day of work schedule rather than ahead of time. Makes a 2 minute task take 20 mins.

Pros

Too bad zero stars isn't an option on this review

The automation through the Dayforce HCM system is unmatched. It is a step ahead and innovative and that is where our company wants to go.

Cons

Security features could be more granular. Reports are lacking in regards to historical data, and pulling from every field.

Pros

I love most of the features. Love the preview of the fly outs and the ease of importing and exporting data.

Cons

It can be very slow at times. It also shuts me down in the afternoon fir no reason. This happens daily.

We transitioned over to this HCM a couple of years ago. For the most part it is serviceable, but at time it has it's limitations.

Cons

The updates can be few and far between. The customer service could be more responsive. Compared to others it can take a lot of clicks to get to what you need.

What I like most about Dayforce is that it is in real time and you don't have to wait for a prepare process to see if payroll is correct like you do in HPL

Cons

What I like lease about Dayforce is that employees sometimes have a hard time completing new hire paperwork because the forms are not smart forms.

Installation was tough, but after going through that with use we have become our own experts. It has tons of functionality.

Pros

The information is all in one place. You can access anything about an employee and their earnings in one easy place. You can create adhock reports and import in information.

Cons

Setup is complex. Everything impacts other portions of the program.

I use this program at work for time off requests as well as paychecks and W2s.

Pros

The program is easy to navigate and use. The message center is set up well. It is easy to locate important things like benefits and pay checks.

Cons

I wish the time off balances worked a little differently. It would be nice if the balance didn’t show future approved requests as a negative in your balance. This makes it difficult to request time off while still having future requests approved.

Pros

We have used Ceridian's services for years now, and they are an industry leader for a reason. Their products are easy to use, their support structure is getting stronger as the days go by, and their recent technological strides with giving the Payroll and HR staff the tools they need to efficiently do their job have been tremendous in the last couple years.

Cons

With any company that grows fast, they need to keep up with that growth by hiring (and training) the new staff they bring on board. They have gotten much better with this in the last 6-8 months. Companies new to it should understand that you need to understand how to grow with a company like Dayforce. You may find bugs here and there, and they are fixed quickly, but since the software is new and constantly changing (every 6-8 weeks), there will be some delays occasionally.

I am kind of neutral with dayforce. I don't hate it but I also don't love it. If it didnt have to load web components every single time I go to log on I might be happier with it.

Pros

I like that I can track my time sheet and view old paystubs and w2s. It is easy to navigate and put in time off requests.

Cons

It takes a long time to load. I have lost count of how many times I have went to log in to dauforce and 5-8 mins later am finally in the program and able to clock in or out.

Entitlements, benefits, and on boarding. Enetitlments due to not knowing how to configure. Benefits, implementation is still setting up our carrier feeds. Onboarding not being utilized because of the offer leter piece not working.
