Access to the resources and articles are very useful and we plan to use them more. Great customer service too, nothing is too much trouble and its always done quickly. The platform and its capabilities were laid out in an easy to follow induction process. The support team and account manager have been responsive and amenable, as well as providing guidance and tips for our own promotions and launch. Pros \- It is incredibly easy to use - There is generic content you can use which saves a lot of time writing content. - The team at PLD were extremely helpful throughout, from tender to launch - The platform is intuitive, and works well, with a good amount of uptake at launch - Pricing is inexpensive for the tool and service - Overall it is clean, easy, a strong platform and with a good team behind it. Cons \- Lack of administration tools meaning you have to contact PLD for certain changes - Restricted page layouts I suspect the team is working on having more flexibility to the platform. Reason for choosing PLD Mentoring Platform We were all sold on the product from the first meeting. The price point was perfect, the functionalities were all there with nothing missing from our list. It's a solid platform with a great team behind it. Ability to flex and customise to our needs. Competitive pricing. UK based support. Experience with other similar organisations. Content, documentation and resources provided helped speed up deployment and took a lot of burden off us to produce. The people at PLD truly know the market and understand the mentoring process and industry. This experience is invaluable when you are new to this area. Cons Didn't seem as 'slick' as some of the others we looked at, but this is more than outweighed that its functionality and ease of use. A great benefit of PLD is having all details/information about the coaching relationships sitting in once place. We have been able to scale up our programme through the PLD platform and we may use this platform for other interventions in the future. Pros The product is intuitive, simple and very easy to navigate, even if you're not tech savvy! Cons We are temporarily using a manual matching process whilst we roll out our programme to the wider organisation. There are a few limitations with this, for example, we don't receive notifications when a coachee has set us their profile and is ready to match. However, we understand this is a temporary process and eventually the platform will create the matches and this issue will be resolved. Pros The system allows users to self-manage their registrations and the information that they feel is important about their needs and what they can offer. It is an effective way of matching the Mentees with Mentors. The monthly articles are also useful in promotion of the platform. When Covid-19 hit the island and we went into lock down the process was accelerated rapidly in a bid to try and help as many local business as we could - Chamber member or not! The platform has worked fantastically for us and is very simple to use and easy to navigate. The back office admin is really insightful, you can run reports and export data to excel. I also love that mentees can ask one off quick questions and don't always have to enter into a full on mentoring relationship. PLD are great at sending over articles related to mentoring that you can use to promote the platform as well as keep existing users engaged. I also really like that PLD send out reminders to users that still need to engage with either mentees or mentors - as you can imagine it would be a nightmare to try an keep on top of this yourself. All in all the platform has been perfect for us and PLD have been incredibly helpful and quick to respond to any questions or queries. Their client service is excellent and their willingness to help solve problems in an innovative way has been the basis for an excellent working relationship. Market leading tech firms are ok if you’re a huge organisation but in my experience, unless you‘re one of the big multinational institutions, you get a lower tier level of service. That has NOT been the case with PLD and whilst it was tempting to go with a better known or longer established provider, we absolutely made the right choice going with PLD. Pros The platform was very easy to implement, is simple, intuitive and gained excellent traction in the business as soon as it was launch. Cons The platform has limited functionality but I think that is a good thing. We didn’t want mentoring to be about learning how to use a new system.
