Its easy to get disctracted with youtube ads when you want to keep your users engaged , Vadoo helps me to do that . And with future proof features built looks solid at the moment. Pros Vadoo.tv is a streamlined video hosting service dedicated to educational organizations such as ours, with good security and an interface that doesn't demand much technical expertise. Plus, its powerful features allow us to do things like collecting video testimonials, hosting video courses and podcasts, and screen recording. That was exactly what we were looking for! We appreciate the lack of branding and the domain security offered by this service. Cons The interface of this tool wasn't exactly the cleanest, or best looking around, but they already improved it. The administration area is very easy to use, the learning curve is quick. The system is fast, you create projects and then easily add your own videos. You can import videos from youtube very easily, once imported you can customize the video player and embed the videos easily using the code provided. Even more practical to be able to share the video by email or on social networks! The system provides a very useful analytics section. I also really appreciate the landing page and marketing features that allow you to easily add a CTA to the video. I especially like that I can customize the player of the video and make changes to both the look and the available features. I also think that including your own logo adds to the branding and is nice to have. Cons I tried the included Chrome extension for recording videos directly from the browser with great expectations, but was disappointed. It does not seem to be fully developed yet. May 28, 2021 5.0 Pros The very clean and simple to use interface is a pleasure to work with. Also, the quality of playback and player controls/features such as chapters and markers are stellar. Cons At the moment, the lack of customizability of the player is a limitation. However, the team appears to have this on their roadmap. The other limitation is that there is no thumbnail preview when hovering over the timeline like with Youtube or Wistia. Given all other features, this is minor, but would be a nice touch. June 3, 2021 5.0 Because I can’t stand it if I want to watch a video and have to see an ad first I don’t want my own audience to experience this aswell. It’s also very important to me that users can watch video’s in 1,5x speed as I generally watch all my video’s the same way. Would be hypocrite if this was not possible with my video’s as it is not possible on every hosting platform. VadooTV Player was the right deal for me. Not only for the above mentioned reasons but also because the user experience is excellent! A lot of options but the interface is very clear and easy to use. If you take video seriously, you should definitely take a look at this! Pros That my audience won't have to see ads in my videos. That my video's can play in 1,5x speed. I love that this is ad free and that my clients are distracted by advertising from other companies. Using AWS storage and CDN content distribution is the best. Videos load very fast and with very good quality. This is a great solution. Pros 1\. Vadootv is a secure platform for video sharing 2. It is similar Youtube 3. It’s a one click upload 4. I'm very excited to see how this performs in the long term. Pros I'm excited to see how this stacks up with other Video platforms we've used, like Wistia. I like the ease of use, and the functionality, so it will be exciting to see what the future holds. They also have a great onboarding process and a Facebook Community, making it easier to connect with other users for ideas. In the past I’ve used places like YouTube & Wistia to host our videos, but those have their own issues. I really like th idea of using it for Email & CMS features. It's very useful to be able to record your screen with camera and mic to make a quick demonstration for a client. The quality of the video is great but that will depend on the quality of your camera as well. I can see many uses for this especially in blogging when I can record a quick screencast and embed it into my website to demonstrate various features. Many ways to share as well beyond this, e.g. social share, email and bubble that appears at the bottom right of the screen, and ability to customise the video itself with calls to action and lead capture. It has most of the basic feature video hosting needs like CTAs and pop-up for collecting lead info. Compared to Wistia and Vimeo it is missing some more detailed analytics but at a much lower cost. Pros It was a good value and has all the basic feature for my hosting needs. Cons Needs more analytic features. Videos are stored in multiple resolutions so it uses more storage per video. At first I wasn't sure I was using it correctly because the process was so straightforward that I was sure I was doing something wrong on my end. But then I tested and used the embed codes and realized it was actually not me. I was doing everything correctly and the software was written so well for the end user in mind that it seemed TOO easy! The only rub was that CNAME is only available with the higher priced options, but that's understandable as it's an advanced feature.
