Overall, we have had a good experience with SchoolCues. We have had no major issues that were not user error. 95% of our issues we have encountered could be corrected on the backend with a helpdesk ticket submitted. The reps are very good about responding in a timely manner.

Pros

School Cues is a great program for small growing schools. The SIS is a great tool for student information and easy to navigate. The training and customer support is top-notch. The parent communication module is awesome for parents to get information from the school on upcoming events, inclement weather, etc. We feel the site and program is very secure for student information to be stored.

Cons

The least thing we have seen in SchoolCues that could be improved is more custom attendance codes available to schools. Right now, there are only two custom attendance codes.

We’ve been with Schoolcues for many years and love how they work hard to meet our expectations. technical support is always there to help.

Pros

Wonderful tool! User friendly, great technical support, a lot of useful modules, quick communication delivery.

Cons

Not Mobil friendly, photo gallery could use some improvement and would be great if the mb in the file attachments is increased.

Love it! As a parent and school worker, I think it's a valuable tool that is easy to use and self explanatory for users as well.

Pros

Completeness of modules, mobile application allows key functions for teachers, admins and parents. Payment features are great too!

Cons

Some of the modules may not be needed. Some of the user experience is not like current web apps but its functionality is great for paying and noting absences.

We are happy with SchoolCues and feel that it is worth the value we pay for it. It makes enrollment much simpler than we had done it previously and allows our teachers to communicate through the app rather than using their personal phone number or email.

Pros

We like the enrollment, attendance and student information systems modules. They are user friendly and all our teachers are able to access and use them easily. Customer service has been good. They respond quickly to inquiries.

Cons

We have had lots of deliverability issues this year with the communication module. This is our first year to have this issue, but it has been very difficult. Another difficulty is having our permission forms lock at unpredictable times on the day they are due. I wish they would lock at midnight consistently.

Our school has been using SchoolCues for a few years now. We find that it is easy to use and is great for keeping student records, attendance, distributing permission forms, and so much more. Parents utilize SchoolCues to check their children in and out for the day, communicate with teachers, and input important information prior to their child's start date (Photo Releases, Emergency Contacts, etc). They can also access the school handbook and a directory of school staff, ensuring all pertinent information is at the tip of their fingertips. We are launching our first year of summer camp, and being able to use SchoolCues for these additional students gives us peace of mind. It will be an easy transition for alumni, and an easy to use inferface for new families.

Pros

I enjoy the details in different features, such as allowing event sign ups that may include multiple days/times, archiving alumni so that the information can still be accessed as needed, creating custom contact lists, the option to send reminders about upcoming events, and creating an image gallery where flyers and important announcements can be added.

Cons

In the near future, I hope for an update that will increased the limited characters on TextCues and allow classroom teachers to receive TextCues as well. Also, it would help to include an option that translate messages for parents. I also hope to see an option added to communications that allows a time for the message to be selected instead of simply a date.

My experience has been great! The trainings are informative and the team at School Cues is always available to answer questions and/or provide support. \[sensitive content hidden\] are both so kind and truly make you feel like a name and not just a number. Families seem to navigate it well also. I actually haven't had one complaint from parents this entire year!

Pros

I love all the modules and the options to select modules appropriate to my school. I love the user friendly layout of the website as well. I find the pricing extremely reasonable for all that comes with School Cues. Best value for the amount of services offered.

Cons

The app seems to need more refinement. Lag time can be lengthy and the interface seems slow. I also wish the calendar was printable and that different font colors could be used on the calendar as well as simple graphics/emojis

Our overall experience with SchoolCues has been positive. They are responsive to assisting with any needs, although at times explaining an issue via email can be frustrating. Being able to place a call would be so helpful. They have taken the initiative to reach out to me by phone, and that has really been appreciated. Everyone at the company is extremely pleasant and it has been a good experience. We have used SchoolCues for less than a year and are currently going through reenrollment. I know as time passes we will see fluidity in using the system and improvements along the way. There has been some confusion at times, but, overall, we've received positive feedback from our parents.

Pros

What I like most about SchoolCues is the ability to place all documents, such as our handbook, permission forms, newsletters, etc. for our school in a "box" that the parents can refer to at any time. The ability for parents to send notes for sick days and tardies has saved our parents a lot of time, and it is sent to us immediately and marks the student's attendance accordingly! The incident reporting features for conduct, medication administration and praise is a great tool to have since all teachers can see a copy. The ease in getting volunteers for events or parties (no more links and logins to Signup Genius!) and being able to see a report of who signed up for what, and the overall ability to communicate with parents has been terrific. I also like that calendar features can be set for different groups for after school clubs and parents can simply select a calendar with a drop down menu. I love that we have the entire school's parent contact information on our phone in the app for situations, such as field trips. There are many things our staff, teachers, and parents have enjoyed with our switch to SchoolCues. Enrollment and inquiries for enrollment is so much better than what we were using before!

Cons

I think the billing/invoicing parents could be a little more straightforward and simple, and I think overall training is lacking. When going through training, there were never "what-if" scenarios or examples given in training. It was honestly more "click this, click that"--which would already be intuitive to most users. The grades feature has been a learning curve for our teachers with some frustrations along the way, but nothing that was too difficult to work out.

Great customer service. Incredible product for a great value - thousands and thousands of dollars less than their competitors. It has completely transformed the way that we run our school and our ability to serve our students through cultivating and stewarding student data.

Pros

At Thrive Academy Atlanta, all of our staff loves how easy School Cues is to use. As the lead administrator for the school, I also loved how quick it was for us to set up. In a fraction of a time as other similar software, we were up and running and able to use School Cues to effectively streamline so many processes within our school. The impact on our data and records has been incalcuable.

Cons

Sometimes it has been hard to transfer students between classes, as we have to do because of different student challenges and lack of performance. When we have to transfer a student from a regular class to a modified class, we have to delete their existing assignments... which is difficult.

Pretty tribble, too bad we missed the window of getting our money back, otherwise we would've gone back to quick books, we did that already for communication, we went back to Bloomz....

Pros

I like having parent teacher interaction, any type of electronic form and the payments on the same platform

Cons

The customer support is terrible, the payments are so hard to maneuver and they are very robust. not easy to work with...just frustrating, Quickbooks way easier to use for payments
