" February 6, 2026 4.0 Our overall experience with SchoolCues has been positive. They are responsive to assisting with any needs, although at times explaining an issue via email can be frustrating. Being able to place a call would be so helpful. They have taken the initiative to reach out to me by phone, and that has really been appreciated. Everyone at the company is extremely pleasant and it has been a good experience. We have used SchoolCues for less than a year and are currently going through reenrollment. I know as time passes we will see fluidity in using the system and improvements along the way. There has been some confusion at times, but, overall, we've received positive feedback from our parents. Pros What I like most about SchoolCues is the ability to place all documents, such as our handbook, permission forms, newsletters, etc. for our school in a "box" that the parents can refer to at any time. The ability for parents to send notes for sick days and tardies has saved our parents a lot of time, and it is sent to us immediately and marks the student's attendance accordingly! The incident reporting features for conduct, medication administration and praise is a great tool to have since all teachers can see a copy. The ease in getting volunteers for events or parties (no more links and logins to Signup Genius!) and being able to see a report of who signed up for what, and the overall ability to communicate with parents has been terrific. I also like that calendar features can be set for different groups for after school clubs and parents can simply select a calendar with a drop down menu. I love that we have the entire school's parent contact information on our phone in the app for situations, such as field trips. There are many things our staff, teachers, and parents have enjoyed with our switch to SchoolCues. Enrollment and inquiries for enrollment is so much better than what we were using before! Cons I think the billing/invoicing parents could be a little more straightforward and simple, and I think overall training is lacking. When going through training, there were never "what-if" scenarios or examples given in training. It was honestly more "click this, click that"--which would already be intuitive to most users. The grades feature has been a learning curve for our teachers with some frustrations along the way, but nothing that was too difficult to work out. The trainings are informative and the team at School Cues is always available to answer questions and/or provide support. \[sensitive content hidden\] are both so kind and truly make you feel like a name and not just a number. Families seem to navigate it well also. I actually haven't had one complaint from parents this entire year! Pros I love all the modules and the options to select modules appropriate to my school. I love the user friendly layout of the website as well. I find the pricing extremely reasonable for all that comes with School Cues. Best value for the amount of services offered. Cons The app seems to need more refinement. Lag time can be lengthy and the interface seems slow. We have been very happy and highly recommend this management software! Cons There was not one feature we didn't like or use with SchoolCues. What I liked least was the module associated with alumni because I don't think we used it correctly. Great Value. Great Experience." January 27, 2026 5.0 Great customer service. Incredible product for a great value - thousands and thousands of dollars less than their competitors. It has completely transformed the way that we run our school and our ability to serve our students through cultivating and stewarding student data. Pros At Thrive Academy Atlanta, all of our staff loves how easy School Cues is to use. As the lead administrator for the school, I also loved how quick it was for us to set up. In a fraction of a time as other similar software, we were up and running and able to use School Cues to effectively streamline so many processes within our school. The impact on our data and records has been incalcuable. Cons Sometimes it has been hard to transfer students between classes, as we have to do because of different student challenges and lack of performance. When we have to transfer a student from a regular class to a modified class, we have to delete their existing assignments... which is difficult. Great customer service, very accessible. There are some reporting features that I think could be improved for just pulling csv lists of students etc. Custom reports would be great to add. Great value for the cost though! Pros Breadth of the product, tuition programming works well, easy setup, mobile app is solid for emergency contacts etc. Cons Gradebook is not great, especially for a high school situation where you have to upload previous course credits. Administrator Education Management Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Very comprehensive tool for small schools" October 23, 2025 5.0 Pros Very comprehensive. We use it for student enrollment, billing and receiving payments, sending emails and texts to parents, parent-teacher conference signups, and more. Cons Because it's so comprehensive, it does a LOT, and not every module is as smooth to use as another. For instance, the signups module is not as easy to use as Sign Up Genius, BUT it's all within the same system as everything else, as opposed to lots of unrelated apps. And because they do so many upgrades, there can be a few minor glitches as they roll out the new features, but at least they continue to enhance the product's value. There are some apps that are "cuter" that really appeal to early childhood parents, but of the products that I've seen, SchoolCues offers the most functionality in terms of what schools truly need, especially considering the price. Support gets back to us almost immediately if we have any questions or need help with something. There are how-to videos available directly on your SchoolCues portal if you have something you forget how to do or want to make sure you are setting up things correctly. We were able to pick and choose the modules that we needed for our school. The Admin App makes life so much easier for our administrators and provides information we need while we are on the go. TextCues allows us to provide quick updates to families in a timely fashion. We are going into our third year with SchoolCues and couldn't be happier with the service. Pros Our school families absolutely love SchoolCues. They feel like it is very user friendly and has so many things to help make life easier. Being able to pay school fees, submit absence notices, and fill out all student forms in one place is an amazing thing and a time saver for so many of our families. The platform is easy to navigate and provides a lot of useful features for managing communication and school records. I’ve found their training sessions to be very helpful, and they are always willing to set up a meeting on Fridays or at other convenient times to troubleshoot any issues. Their support team is readily available and responsive, which makes the process of setting up and resolving any concerns much easier. Pros What I like most about SchoolCues is how it keeps all attendance records in one place, making it easy to track and manage. The system also makes communication between teachers and parents seamless, with the ability to send updates and messages directly. I especially appreciate being able to input alumni information, as well as creating sign-up sheets for parents for events or activities. It truly helps streamline everything! Cons What I like least about SchoolCues is that it doesn’t offer an option to translate messages into another language or switch the language in which you type. Additionally, it would be helpful if we could pull attendance records from previous years. I also would like to allow longer messaging when creating a textcue or sign up sheet details. We find that it is easy to use and is great for keeping student records, attendance, distributing permission forms, and so much more. Parents utilize SchoolCues to check their children in and out for the day, communicate with teachers, and input important information prior to their child's start date (Photo Releases, Emergency Contacts, etc). They can also access the school handbook and a directory of school staff, ensuring all pertinent information is at the tip of their fingertips. We are launching our first year of summer camp, and being able to use SchoolCues for these additional students gives us peace of mind. It will be an easy transition for alumni, and an easy to use inferface for new families. Pros I enjoy the details in different features, such as allowing event sign ups that may include multiple days/times, archiving alumni so that the information can still be accessed as needed, creating custom contact lists, the option to send reminders about upcoming events, and creating an image gallery where flyers and important announcements can be added. Cons In the near future, I hope for an update that will increased the limited characters on TextCues and allow classroom teachers to receive TextCues as well. Also, it would help to include an option that translate messages for parents. I also hope to see an option added to communications that allows a time for the message to be selected instead of simply a date. Review Source AS Alana S. January 29, 2025 5.0 The support and development team at SchoolCues has been wonderful to work with! They answer questions promptly when we have them. They have plenty of training opportunities (videos, help prompts within the program, and live training classes). They are open and willing to take our suggestions for enhancements to their program as they truly want to make it the best product for small schools. We are glad we found them! Pros SchoolCues is easy to use for our teachers and parents! We previewed several programs for our small hybrid school. SchoolCues is not the cheapest option, but it had the items we were looking for (SIS, reports, attendance, admissions/enrollment, gradebook with reporting, a payment portal, parent/teacher conference sign up, school directory, communications, etc). Cons The pricing document they shared with us when we first met with them was a little confusing (more complicated than it needed to be). We struggled a little setting up our Gradebook. September 19, 2024 4.0 Pros We're extremely grateful for the all-in-one solution for everything from communications to sign ups to grade books to payments. Cons The photo gallery function in the app is very hard to use. We'd hoped that would be a good option for sharing pictures internally, but it's too counter-intuitive and takes too many steps to share photos. We also don't care for the document box as it limits the file size too severely and is inconvenient for our teachers to use. June 27, 2024 5.0 SchoolCues has brought our school leaps and bounds forward in managing the parent/student experience, from enrollment, communication, student information, gradebook, and so much more all in one system. Pros We are a small school, a little less than 150 students. SchoolCues has everything we need and more at an affordable cost. The online inquiry and enrollment process has saved us so much time and reduced mountains of paperwork. The parent communication tools are fantastic. The speed at which we were able to implement was incredible. Cons Initially, the user-friendliness of some of the modules was lacking. But SchoolCues listens to suggestions and they have done an amazing job of implementing updates to enhance many of their modules greatly improving the ease of use. The willingness of their staff to stay on task with us until we gained sufficient proficiency was a big help. The affordability and design make SchoolCues a perfect fit for Legacy Christian Academy. Pros The patience and cooperation of the SchoolCues Staff and the very affordable cost of the program. Legacy Christian Academy is not even a year old. We are learning as we go. We had to change personnel, which included a change in who is assigned to use the program on a daily basis. I am sure the delays and confusion on our part had to be frustrating to the SchoolCuse Staff. However, they stuck with us through the whole process. Cons I wish that we could have onsite help from SchoolCues personnel. However, I realize that the logistics makes that a very slim possibility. Reason for choosing SchoolCues In fairness to F.A.C.T.S., that product is designed for a much larger school than ours. There is much more in their program than we need at the present time. SchoolCues has helped our business to be and feel more professional. It's helped hold the organization accountable between school and home and streamlined all the different ways in which schools operate. Cons The grade book function felt very intuitive when I set it up at the beginning of the year, but when the transition to the second semester didn't happen, it was a confusing process to navigate. March 14, 2024 5.0 Definitely a more efficient and convenient system for your school. Our experience with the SchoolCues platform has been great so far since we transitioned to a digital one last year. Pros As a Program Administrator & Family Liaison, I definitely recommend the SchoolCues platform to any small school or school interested in transitioning to a digital platform. The transition to a digital platform has been an easy one, this is due to the many different module trainings offered by Schoolcues. Everything is organized in the same digital space, which makes less paperwork for the office space. You can replace many forms and create ones from here and share with your families in one place. You can send communication to one person or the whole class, you can even set up parent teacher conferences, grades, and even collect payments. Cons There are some specific forms that can't be change/edited for now. For example, the accident reports, they come in a specific format that might be different from the one your school is currently using. October 23, 2020 5.0 Our school opened our doors three weeks before school started. For those in school administration, you know that is a nightmare! SchoolCues was easy to learn and implement. We had it up and running, accepting new students within just a few days. I am not an admin person. I find myself easily overwhelmed when learning new systems and processes like this. I was able to jump in, get it set up and fully functioning without a hitch! Their staff was super helpful and stayed with me until we were set up and accepting students. I like that the system just makes sense. It is very intuitive and I can find my way from step 1 to step 2 without second guessing if I am going in the right direction. Pros As a very small Academy, we needed something intuitive and simple. This is our first year to open and we do not have an admin staff, so we needed something easy to learn and implement for the staff that would be using it. We found just what we needed in SchoolCues! SchoolCues is intuitive and just makes sense. It does everything we need and then some. It is a full admissions package from inquiry to enrollment as well as a full communications system for staff and parents. We can charge and accept payments and they are adding new features all the time. I am not a techie person and I use this system the most. If I find that I need help, their support staff is very helpful. They have built in training modules as well as being able to schedule a personal training at anytime. We love SchoolCues! Cons At this time, there is no LMS option within the system. I asked about this feature and they said they are planning to add this feature but it is not an option at this time. At this time, the admissions and payment are not connected, so we have to manually input charges. Reason for choosing SchoolCues I had used Renweb with a previous group and so I was familiar with the program. I used it for 2 years and never fully understood how it worked. It was bulky and not intuitive. There was no straight line from point A to point B. There were 15 ways to do everything, which made it very overwhelming. I had also used Powerschool and liked the interface, but it was not as intuitive as I would have liked. Both of these products were WAY out of our price range, but did give me a gauge for what I was looking for. We have learned the basics and are now delving deeper into trying to use it how our specific community needs it. Pros We most definitely like many features of SchoolCues. Previously, we did not have a digital system for gathering all the student information, so this allows us to streamline many parts of this process. Cons We find that the instruction sheet to set up a SchoolCues account can be daunting for families, which means they delay the information entry. We would like to simplify these steps.Also, sometimes areas of the system are not intuitive. For example, reporting a student absent as a parent requires going to "Permission Forms" instead of the category called "Attendance."We started using School Cues for almost ALL classroom and school-wide communications. We could not afford using one of the big SIS in the market because those are too expensive, too difficult to manage, too cumbersome to deploy. SchoolCues is just fine for our small, growing school. It allowed us to go to market really fast and requires minimal management from our side. Did I mentioned also that the training and support they offer is amazing!! We feel that we have a real partner with SchoolCues team and ours. Pros These are the pros of SchoolCues: 1) Extremely easy to deploy. Adding users and families is simple if you follow the instructions provided. 2) Easy to manage payments. Again, using the instructions provided is essential to be successful. 3) Great training available. Take advantage of the training online and live training sessions. You get trained by people that really know the software. 4) Super-responsive customer support. If you see a problem, report it, and the team will usually fix the problem really fast. 5) The system is very comprehensive to do almost everything you need to get done. Even though the system is purposefully built not to be very "customizable", it pretty much does everything you need or can imagine. 6) Best value for the money!! Cons These are the cons of SchoolCues: 1) User interface is developed by the software engineering team. The good thing about this is that once you understand how the software is designed, then it makes sense. The bad thing is that you need to think like a software engineer to make sense of it. 2) In many places, lists do not sort correctly. These are a few of the annoying minor bugs that the team is correcting. So, you need to be careful when looking at lists of things, because they are usually not sorted in a sensical way. 3) It is not "customizable" by design. This is a good thing because it helps keep the cost and price down, and you learn to us it quickly without having to make a ton of decisions for everything. The bad part of this is that if you need to do something different from what the software does, you are out of luck. It has streamlined many of our processes, especially enrolment. The ease of this process this year was game changer for staff. It was easier to track potential students, who was moving ahead with enrolment and those who were returning for another year. Cons Overall this product works for most of what we do. A few more personalization aspects would be nice to allow it to be more in line with our Ministry standards, but for the most part we have been able to find work arounds to these. Reason for choosing SchoolCues It came highly recommended by other Montessori schools that use it. That was big for us in choosing as it was feedback from actually schools using the product.
